I want this but underneath I want pastel orange.. I’ve had my hair pastel pink for a few weeks and I really enjoy it. Mine is very subtle though. Very feminine.

It came out a beautiful colour! How dark are you naturally? I have just dyed my hair NEON pink and it doesn't feel healthy from the bleach I had to do to get it there.

Team Fairy Tail It will wash out. If you want it to stay in, shower in cold water with a shower cap, stay away from chlorine, etc.
Team Fairy Tail It does wash out since it's semi-permanent,but i recolour it atleast once a week,so it remains pink.

+Suzy Osborne Hi I have a question! So a few weeks ago, I bleached my hair twice and toned it with Wells toner, and it left it a light ash blonde. I tried to go silver with the Ion Color Brilliance dye, but that didn't work, so I was forced to use the Loreal, and that only lasted a week.
I went to Sally's today and bought the Ion Color Brilliance dye in pink, and I thought I would get a good pink color because I wouldn't make the mistakes I made when doing the silver:
-I hadn't used the entire tube of dye
-No bowl and brush
-Too much conditioner?
I looked up a tutorial today on UA-cam and it said that 75% conditioner and 25% of the dye would work. It worked better than the silver, but it left my hair with a blonde/pinkish hue.
Anyway, not very happy and starting to run out of options.
Will this Manic Panic dye work better? And also, what do you recommend as far as how much conditioner, or even if you should use any.

+Abigail Bradley the manic panic should last around 2-3 weeks, however it will fade each time you wash it. For manic panic you don't have to use conditioner people use it to lighten the color or add more if their isn't enough for their hair.
+Abigail Bradley I have only ever used Ion dyes in dark brown shades so I can't compare their lighter/brighter shades to any manic panic shades I've used. But I generally use a good amount of conditioner with the manic panic dyes and they still show up very well. I would say I used the least amount of conditioner when dyeing my hair pink because it's seems to be a little less pigmented than some of the blue and purple shades I've used from manic panic. Also if your hair is very light (platinum/white blond) the dyes will show up brighter and more true to color than if your hair is a darker golden blonde..if so you might need to use more dye to get a better result. You don't need to use conditioner if you don't want to...I generally do because I like more pastel shades and I like the color to fade faster (also the jars of dye aren't nearly enough to cover my entire head so the conditioner is a cheap way to create more dye). I just try to use a white conditioner that is silicone free. Using the manic panic pastelizer is probably best bc it is the same formulation as the colors...I've tried it in the past but it's just kinda pricey for the small jar. Thanks!
Did the color change a lot or just a little after a few washes? I want to diy it but the coler I jused was gone in 3 a 4 days and a didn't even take a shower and yes it was permanent color but yeah how long did yours stick?

What kind of conditioner did you use? I'm going to dye my hair a pastel pink in a few weeks and am looking for the best conditioner to dilute the color with (I will also be using Manic Panic dye).
Kathryn in Diamonds I just try to use a white conditioner that is silicone free, otherwise manic panic makes a diluter as well 👍🏻

If you have dark hair then the color can't go all in (if you know what i mean btw i'm danish sooo) I had dark brown hair and i bleached it (if you can say that) but it turned out really well! It's a really light pink but it fits me really well :) I'm just not sure how to keep it that way... I have the haircolor but do i need to mix it up with conditioner or balsam?
to make your hair blonde from brown you would need to bleach to some extent....I definitely recommend seeing a professional for bleaching/lightening
