Chocolate and Praline Cake (very easy)

    Ingredients for a 20cm [8in] round cake dish:
    Pralin:
    45g [1/3cup / 1.6oz] flaked or whole almonds
    45g [1/3cup / 1.6oz] chopped or whole hazelnuts
    90g [1/2cup] sugar
    Cake:
    3 eggs
    10g [1tbsp] sugar
    80g [2/3cup] self-raising flour
    50g [1/4cup] butter
    100g [3.5oz] dark chocolate
    100ml [1/2cup] milk
    1tsp vanilla extract

    Since i do not have self raising flour...what amount of baking soda and baking powder should be added to the flour?

      I tried this recipie...and it was a hit..bt my egg whites didnt whip up and they were not firm..any reason why it didnt whip up to firm peaks ?

    Why u ddnt show us a video while cutring the cake or a close up one .. the texture of the cake is not clear ..

    My cake ended up being about 1.5cm high and super dry. Not sure what happened.

      Hi! I'm very sorry the cake didn't turn out as expected. Maybe the whisked egg whites failed to incorporate enough air to the mixture.
