LITERALLY the best tutorial I've seen! I've done no sew ears and really wanted to cut down on the weight of those, so I think I might learn how to sew. SO thank you for this!!!
This was one of the best instructional videos I've seen!
Thank you for your sweet feedback!
This is one of the best videos I’ve watched of diy Minnie ears! Thanks so much!
Thanks so much!
The best video! Ever! So helpful😊
Mahalo!
De los mejores videos de tutorial de Orejitas de Minnie! Te felicito! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Would 1/2 inch foam work? I've checked joann and other craft stores and can't find 1/4 inch anywhere. Amazon has high density, but it won't fold/roll well.
I bought your pattern thank you. What or where can I get the foam for inside the ears so excited
Thank you! I love it! Got it today.
Yay!
Super cute 😍 thanks for sharing
Do you have a tutorial for how to sew the ear to the headband? Instead of gluing?
I know I’m not the maker of this tutorial but for me, I used a little bit of hot glue to keep the ear where I want it, then made little whip stitches around the bottom on the ears to secure them in place/ so they dont flop around. Basically anchoring them down. But I also used some beads and covered up the stitching because it isnt the prettiest. This is also really tedious and takes a strong hand so I don’t know how much I would recommend this. That is just me though!
Very cute and easy.
I love love this so much. Thank you for this video. Quick question what size if trim for pom poms are you using and the rope looking one? Thank you
I’m so sorry I missed seeing this comment! I typically use a 1/8” or 1/4” width trim, Pom Pom or ribbon. If you have a local Hobby Lobby store.. they have them on sale every other week for only $1-2 for a spool of 3-10 yards in various different colors and types.
I’m using this to make my 19 month old Halloween costume. Do you think a soft headband would work too? I’m going to order both but worry the plastic one is too big.
I LOVE your videos! Can you please tell me what marking pen you are using in this video? Also, what do you suggest for dark colored fabric? It is very tricky to see with a pen.
Thank you!! Believe it or not, I just use a gel Sharpie writing pen on fabric I don’t have to wash! :) It stays completely hidden once finished.
I use chalk to trace on my darker colored fabrics!
We’re do I purchase you pattern please
Hi I ordered 2 of the stencils just in case and absolutely love using them. Where did you find the 1/4 foam I am having a hard time finding it. Thank you
Most local craft stores should have it! I got mine from Joann’s for about $2 for a large piece to make 5 pairs, if that helps.
Idk what state/country you live in because where I am, that foam is soo much more expensive 😞
I am trying to get the pattern you mentioned.
Can you use these ears with hair-clips instead of the headband?
What type of presser foot it best for sewing circular patterns? I’m new to seeing.
Just your regular machine’s presser foot! No need to change it :)
So cute!
Thank you!
I love it!!!! ❤️
You know you are a crafter when you can just pinch the hot glue like that, lol!!
May I ask why a 1" headband or could you use a 1/2 "?
You can use whichever width you’d like, but the weight of the ears work best on a 1 inch or larger. :) I use 1/2 inch for boys ears since I don’t add much embellishment!
