How to Make Fully Sewn Headbands for Mouse Ears

- I've made well over 1,000 pairs of mouse ears over the years, and I just within the last year switched from making glued headbands to fully sewn headbands. It might feel a bit intimidating at first to make a sewn headband, but they're easy to get the hang of and they look great! This video gives a tutorial for how to make sewn headbands specifically geared for mouse ears.

Thank you for this tutorial! My family is going to Disney World in December, and I've been excited to make our ears. However, I was really disappointed when I used hot glue to cover the headband--it looked sloppy, and I worried about how well it would hold up. I tried a pair using your method of covering the headband with fabric and sewing on the ears, and they look so much better!

Thank you for this!! I do okay with covering my headbands but somehow when the fabric color is less forgiving I get a gluey mess. I am going to try this process today.

The ears I made in this video were just a one-off for myself :)
I did something similar when covering the headband of my daughter's ear defenders. I made my template using the masking tape method (cover in a layer of tape then cut the tape off along your "seams".)
