When I met my Filipina for the first time I immediately realized that I have been treated like dirt compared to how my Filipina treated me. I will never date another American woman again because I have my Filipina and I will be marrying her at some point. For the last 10 years, I would not even consider starting a relationship here where I live. I have dated a few women, Vietnamese and Chinese and it was not too bad but it usually ends the same way. Their old school parents would not approve of our relationship, so that would cause us to part ways. What a shame but that is their culture. Thank you for sharing. What most Filipinas do not realize is that foreigners consider Tampo, selosa and hiya immature and if it goes on over a period of time he will break up with her. Especially with hiya as many times it involves multiple lies to save face and the item being covered up is nothing compared to the lying. If she will lie about little things she will lie about big things. Selosa to most foreigners is the same as accusing him of cheating. If a Filipina would do this to me she will get her wish as I will break up and find another Filipina who is open and honest from the onset. That is what is the basis of a beautiful friendship in a relationship which is good communication. And if she is on Facebook leaving comments on other men's profiles or chatting on Messenger she is disrespecting her foreigner. Chismos or gossip is terrible because if the Filipina is discussing her personal life with friends and relatives and the foreigner finds out her will be beyond furious. And lastly, if she expects a foreigner to take care of her family she most likely will find herself looking for another foreigner. Most American women know not to make these mistakes as they know that he will not put up with that garbage. Most of the Western foreigners coming to the Philippines are looking for a beautiful and genuine Filipina. They will respect her family but won't be dating her family. We are not going to play the role of an ATM. However we will treat our Filipina exceptionally well.

I am dating a Filipina and have found the qualities in which you have spoken about today! I can hardly wait for her to arrive in the US to live with me! She is 25 years younger and yet we connected in such a beautiful way! She is gentle and quiet and yet encouraging in every way.

I’ve never been treated right by the women of my own country. Is one Filipino that I knew from my past treated me how I wanted to be and I developed a crush on her but she was a senior and I was a freshman. My father met the love of his life in a Filipino man and he is the sweetest person I ever met. I went to the Philippines with him and was introduced to his niece and I am happy with her.

My whole life has been a disaster with american women. From the first woman I ever dated at 18 to now at 58. Found out after 2 weeks the first woman I dated was engaged to be married. That just disgusted me. And from there it's continued in the same manner. They say they love you but a few years later their on to the next guy. Like Rich Cooper says " it not your girl, it's just your turn". I married a Filipina in my mid forties and it lasted 9 years. When she was going thru menopause after about a year she became very jealous because her hair started to fall out and I was accused of cheating on her, it couldn't be further from the truth. Unfortunately, she filed and got her divorce. I sure hope all Filipinas aren't the same way.

Western men welcome direct communication.. So it is ok when a woman directly tells me hey I don't find you attractive. I wish more women would say that than making dishonest excuses. What concerns us is when a person demands a lot while they don't bring much to the table while displaying arrogance and extreme entitlements.

I am new to your channel. I like that you were tactful in your comparison between the two cultures. I was married 34 years so never actually dated in the US but this seems to be a fair description of growing up in America.
I always enjoy how you get to the heart of the issue and are still very nice about the discussion. I think it goes both ways in the west: Men and women can be demanding and rude regarding what they want. I cannot imagine saying something to a persons face because they didn't meet my ideal. Attitude and understanding are what set Filipinas apart from western women and it is so very refreshing. Thank you for a great video.

Wonderful video and very well spoken on the subject Rebeauti. Those are most of the reasons I seek a filipina, and have a trip planned just to take in the culture. I am sure there are some old fashion western ladies that have the same views and treat people as they want to be treated. I believe in being equal with my partner but also want to be let open doors, pay for dinner and going out sometimes and also want to be let to love an be romantic an spontaneous as I see fit making sure she always knows how important and appreciated and special she is. It is not that you are not "equal". It is just there are 2 different roles in a relationship. I have responsibilities and duties to you as a man just as you have a role and responsibilities as a woman. Great topic, as a man who was Married twice, divorced twice in the West, I know a little about Western women...I can actually describe Western women without leaving rude comments, I'd say they all have a "privileged" attitude...what's in it for me?? Unfortunately many of our Western men also display the privileged attitudes...example, when I was about to sign my apartment contract in Dumaguete, the apartment manager asked me one thing..she said "please don't be like the rest of the foreigners who live here, they complain about everything ". She proceeded to explain that sometimes children play in the patio during the day and make noise..well, my apartment is directly across from the patio and I only heard them playing once, wasn't loud, and I could hear only bc my front door was open..case #2, I was walking down the Robinson's mall one day, and noted 5 people whom were not wearing their mask, ALL were foreigners..took a picture sent to my sister in Alaska and told her, this is why we're not liked in many countries..it's our privileged attitude..case# 3, was in a train in Europe, one of those with sleep beds, was around midnight when I was waken by a bunch of drunk Americans being abnoxioouly loud..again I'm American, can do whatever...well our female counterparts are even worse than our men..you can simply go on UA-cam, and search unruly passengers, and you'll come across thousands of cases....most were women... but you get the picture...that's is the reason I'm retired in the Phillipines...

Phillipine's greatest asset are its mothers and women, followed by gorgeous pristine beaches! Everything else just gets in the way of enjoying them. "Be like Water"....is actually practised there!

I have a simple mantra, "equal but different". We are all deserving of respect and consideration. I'm currently in negotiation with my girl to do the laundry in return for her doing the dishes ... I hate doing the dishes :) Quid Pro Quo, taking the burden we can and sharing responsibility, should be the norm, not the exception.
Don't forget, rude people are just rude. There is this falsehood propagated that women can have anything they want in the West, a notion that men were disabused of many years ago. Humility is not about gender it's about the person and there are a lot of bad people in the West, there are many good too, but they are being marginalised. Just look at divorce and the balance of custody it is vile and only getting worse.
Yes, many men have chosen to live an alternative life, we have no other choice if we wish to be authentic. Western society will turn upon itself, in the meantime, we either take the Red Pill or suffer. Interestingly taking the Red Pill does not mean rejecting women, but rejecting a society that has corrupted women.
In the next couple of years, I will move permanently East and I will celebrate the day.
I dont think western society has corrupted women they just dont have to set down and shut up anymore they contribute to a house hold budget some make more than there conservative values husbands controlled by there wives she says jump they say how high lol
@@garrylafferty100, I see you already live in paradise, lucky!! :) It is one of the interesting anomalies of Western society. That it is acceptable for a woman to behave in that manner if she is the "breadwinner". If, however, we were to turn that on its head and ask how that would be perceived if a man expected a woman to ask "how high" they would be castigated. There is an old saying, "what is sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander". That is something we have forgotten.
This is not about grrrl power but balance and unfortunately, when you tell someone they can have it all they come to expect it. Guess what, one still has to earn things, including long-term respect (by giving respect). Positive discrimination is still, at its heart, discrimination.
Just because one man is bad doesn't make the rest bad, as I said initially there are good and bad in all groups, but the inputs can horribly skew the results. If you are happy with the way society has changed then I am pleased for you. I on the other hand think it has gone too far. I no longer wish to pander to the new cultural norms. Therefore I take my pill and make my choice.
And book my ticket to Cebu :)

Two comments:
1) How is tampo that much different from "the silent treatment" that most Western guys get when their wives are not happy. I will admit that there is generally less drama and theatrics involved.
2) A lot of YOUR image of Western women comes from reality and other TV shows or from divorces guys who have run off to the Philippines. If you knew more happily married American couples, you might have a different view of things. Filipinas on UA-cam especially seem to think that they are the only ones with strong families values. Honestly, many of the family values practiced by many families stem from their Catholic beliefs and are not that much different from those of Catholics across the world.
Hmmmm? According to stats divorce rate is 50% in the US and women are likely to initiate a divorce at a rate of 70% which is high. Also if a woman makes more than a man she is likely to divorce her man. While this does not apply to everyone in America, but it does apply to a majority. Very few marriage are able to sustain in America. If a man falls on financial hard times, divorce is likely as well. What she said about the woman meeting up a man at bar is pretty accurate. Its well known among men if an attractive man hits on a woman its called flirting while a man that is average looking is called harassment, hence the disrespect. So Rubeauti assessment on western relations between man and woman is pretty correct. Yes Filipinos have a strong culture definitely more stronger than American culture. In the US, people will ditch their Thanksgiving dinner with family early to go line up at Walmart a for a $ 200 dollar TV for Black Friday. Doesn't sound like we have strong culture or family values here.

The issue you talked about where Filipinas don't like confrontation and just go tampo is very real and a real problem. Westerners are used to being able to address and discuss problems. At least in my experience my filipina will just not talk about anything when I bring up an issue. So I have to choose whether to just drop it or break up. It eventually led to me breaking up. Now she's back and talking as if there's no issue at all and we're still together😐 I'm like uh no, the issue is still there sweetie and still needs to be dealt with...
You didn't stick to the breakup. She doesn't respect you. You have to be the leader and go no contact, because she's not a proper partner. Sack up.

Hi Rubeauti, thank you for your tactful approach to this topic. I think what account for many of the differences has less to do with east and west and is more the product of advancement, in an advanced society there are conditions that mold the women that do not exist in some developing countries. This can even be seen inside the same country, an example would be the women n in Manila behaves very differently than the women from the province. And women in New York City behave very differently than women from the country parts of Mississippi.

Hi Rebeauti. Looking very lovely as always. Good topic and have to agree with what you are saying. The worse thing is the tampo. It is better to talk about the problem rather then sulk about something. It is how you learn about someone and how you know what they like and don't like. If you just stop talking to your partner you will never solve anything. I do chat to more then one lady there but have made no promises to anyone. For me it is very important to meet in person so you see how you interact with each other when you spend all your time together. And yes they know I chat to more than one and they know why. I have met too many people that are not the same in person as online. You have made some good comparisons between east and west. Each side has to learn the other ones culture and take one day at a time to learn. I have seen a few videos on this topic and everyone says almost the same thing. Hello Rubeauti. Nice video. I think you have it right concerning the behavior of western (American) women. Personally I would never consider marrying one of them. One aspect of western men that maybe you might want to explore..... A lot of us find Asian women to more physically attractive than their western counterparts. I think we just are drawn to Asian women because of their beautiful hair, skin tone, and generally petite frames. IE, moth to the flame!!! Maybe you can explore that aspect western men. You are absolutely correct in your assessment and as women get older they expect more when in fact they have already lost what any man is looking for in a woman. As women age they loose value and as men age they gain value in what a relationship is for which is family. In the old days men didn't marry until they were established and had a home to bring their wife to and not their parents home . Often times they married a much younger women who could give them a large family. American women wait until they are established to start their families but quite often they wait to long and then have issues and troubled children with handicaps . Western men are tired of it and are looking for a woman with the values that they grew up with.
This woman is great, and I admire the warmth of her character. Not only was her reply to the topic on point, but she never knocked the other women from abroad. What a woman.
One thing you forgot to mention is what happens to Filipinas when they come to the west.
They seem to become too westernized. That’s what happened to me. I brought my wife here back in the 1990’s and she became just like American women.
She was all about the money and being selfish. It’s kind of funny because I’ve been around Filipino people for the past 30 years and I’ve seen how beautiful the Filipina is and I never saw that in my wife. This is why I am coming to the Philippines.

Again a very enjoyable and informative episode. Every man in the world should be lucky enough to have a pinay g/f or wife. It is so true that filipino women are more feminine, age better and not nearly as moody as western women. If a had to choose the greatest attribute a Pinay possesses I would promptly reply ' Filipino women are less confrontational than western women'. They don't care who can shout the loudest or whose fault it is or who wins the dispute. I wish I had discovered filipino women so many years ago. The only disagreements I have with my lovely Pinay Princess fiance is when I want to spend money on her but she won't let me. I AM TRULY BLESSED.

Within the past week or so, I saw a story on Yahoo news, about a woman that was suing a man in court for not meeting her expectations on a date! I did not read it, but the summary mentioned that the judge did not think she understood much about the law. Where Filipina get competitive is with each other! How many times have you (a fellow Filipina) approached a couple on the street and the Filipina grabs the man's hand and makes it clear that he is taken!
When westerners marry each other it is still often two individuals, let's say two Kobe Bryant's on the same team. When a westerner marrys a Filipina it's more Like Jordan and Pippen, working together for a common goal. I believe this is reflected in the divorce statistics

Well I can definitely say you have a lot of communication with Western men. There is a lot of things that I do agree with and there's some things that are not necessarily the way that it's being said. One advantage that a lot of Western women do like to use against a man as a manipulation tool is that it's easy for a western woman to go to local authorities or Court and file false charges against a man just to try to get their way with that man. The very most common thing that they will accuse a man of to authorities is domestic violence. There is a lot of innocent Western men that have in their background somewhere a domestic violence charge against them from one of their former Western partners and it was all just because of a nasty breakup. Yes a vast majority of Western women does fit the description of the lady on the reality show. A vast majority of Western women and this is going by my region that I live in or should I say my state which is Kentucky here in the United States is that they would prefer a handsomely attractive man that would treat them very badly and even beat them over a average looking man that would treat them good and provide well for them. A good motto that western women do go by is they're only with you until the next one comes or until they find something better. In a western woman's eyes there's always something out there better. Marriage here in the United States has simply become an expensive breakup.
Now the part about Filipino women being different than Western women as far as being blunt and that they're going to sugarcoat to save face might be a little bit of an overstatement. I have had some that have been blunt with me simply told me that I'm not a good Foreigner and that I look strict and would not be a good foreigner and that was even before they got to know me. When a Filipino woman don't want you no more or not interested in you no more then they will start telling a lot of lies about a Foreigner to discourage them. They will also hide things. Truth is truth and reality is reality but 9 out of 10 foreigners that is in a relationship with a Filipina that their Filipina is in communication with at least one or possibly up to three different foreigners. It's not just a money thing to get from each one of them. It's just that a lot of Filipinas are not content with just one foreigner regardless of how good each one of those foreigners is treating them. Yeah overall I would have to say that a Filipino woman is a better quality than a western woman but that difference is very slight. I can definitely tell you that Filipino women are more concerned about the financial aspect of it compared to a western woman and that's probably because of the equality thing. A western woman will date a man that is less income than what they're making because they are always looking at the outside first whereas a Filipino one does look on the inside first but they will continue to search for a foreigner that will fit their financial profile that you're looking for more so than a western woman. A western woman will not ask a man up front how much money do they make. That's one of the first questions a Filipino will ask a western man. Those ones that do ask that which is a lot, those are the ones that are financial first regardless of your age and your looks. I mean no disrespect to any Filipino woman or to any Western woman I'm just giving my opinion and some personal experiences type of facts

I say a good women is a good women ether country if you make a bad choice it will be hell including in Philippines she come with much different problems her family can destroy a relationship she may be playing you for money even more so than a western woman who may not need your money she got her own. It a myth to pretend Filipinas are mostly good women most guys get scammed a few times before they find a good one i dont think good one are easy to find that usually happen when you least expect it

As I did mention in my previous comment that yeah it is more important to the Filipino woman about how much a western man makes compared to what a western woman is interested in. Another thing I should have mentioned and this is also very important too. If you are going to start talking to a woman from a different country. In this case since this topic is specifically about Filipino women than what somebody needs to do get a good understanding how much things cost there because they are a lot cheaper than they are in the Western countries. Because believe me those Filipino girls they know how much things cost in Western countries and they will use that price scale to their advantage if they know they can get away with it.

I could understand if this lady that does these videos has a hard time comprehending that. It's because she's not here everyday she don't see it everyday. I'm not saying all Western women are like that. Just a vast majority are. Most western women prefer that bad boy look in a man.
One other issue that I never did mention which I should have. The biggest problem between Western men and Western women and as far as a western man pursuing a western woman. A Western man's too scared to pursue a western woman. It's because if you happen to try to pursue a western woman that has no interest in you it don't end there. Next thing you know you got court documents in your mailbox or you got a police officer knocking on your door because the girl went and filed harassment charges against you. These ladies that do these blogs over there in the Philippines that does the comparison between the Filipino woman and the Western woman actually really don't know how bad it is over here in the United States.
Like I mentioned before my state here in the United States is Kentucky. In particular Southeastern Kentucky. I'm sure it's probably like this in some other local regions is that you also have to consider here in my area, is the woman drug free or not.

True in experience I've been with African , American, Australian,new Zealand, European, Asian, and I can seriously mention so many topics behaviours culture relationship politics about input output extraction benifits sex attitude racism facts intimacy dreams adventure travel you name it ...but the problem is that the truth is offensive even how you put it in wording so I can only tell you this the warning signs are there it's how you use your insight precautions that prevalence adaptation leads to a life of contentment because all women look at how you carry yourself how you invest your money how you respond towards them I will not mention the difference between their origin backgrounds and mind set because it's a high risk factors that may be offended..it's self explanatory it speaks for itself that is the best answer to write.

Don't tale "reality show" to account. There are usually actors there in western countries. Yes, people here sometimes do things like you described, but not all. That is not a part of a culture. Our "reality shows" usually take some tipical situations and increase them to the top, showing really more than it really is. It's the show. But I agree that western women usually have more material oriented values. And that is not good. I met a lot of girls who wanted to be with me when I had a lot of money and very few who stayed when I was broke.

But in reality, elements of the government and media have been very vocal, in the last two weeks, regarding dropping all the covid restrictions to bring back tourism. Money is a huge motivator for the new president. Also, everyone is clearly not vaccinated, there or anywhere. A vast percentage of the population has refused to get vaxed. They are not as subordinated as people in the west believe. My opinion of course...

All the points you made are valid... and it has only gotten worse in the last 20 years... I lived in the Philippines for 11 months in 1982. I loved the people and especially the beautiful women. ;) I knew when I got on the plane to go back to the west that I had been "ruined" for life (😂). What I mean is that after experiencing how a Filapina treats her "man" going back to the west was going to be very dissapointing...
If was, however now I am planning my return (to stay) and am excited to live in a place where women respect who they are AND who you are and life can once again be an exciting and rewarding journey... See you soon! 😎#theBaldGorilla

I think the level of education of western women is in par or even better than western men, and they can get jobs with much higher salary and are independent but most Filipino women mostly can’t afford higher level education and therefore unable to be financially independent and that is why most Filipino women more dependent and also more feminine in traditional ways!
