Tom you’re just tying what we call a Guides Choice Hares Ear or Soft Hackle! Tie them and use them all the time. Great flies fellers.

Those flies were excellent! I agree Flagler won, but they were all beautifully tied. It does make me wish I had signed up for the Missoula trip, but I guess it's too late now . . . .

Thanks Cheech for the hares ear I’ve been looking for.. touch of wire underbody and gold rib and that is me new go to GRHE which will look better after it’s been chewed up. Tim‘s fly was straight out of a fly tying book, there‘s rarely a thread wrap too many or any „inefficient“ tying always spot on. Toms fly gets down in the current and will catch fish for sure, can imagine changing up the colours of the body and change the hackle to make all manner of Imitations that get down to the fish in the flow. Great video again. May I ask a favour? Can you recommend some flies for fishing Tampa and the Keys in August? Brian from Mad River put me in touch with some guides I’m keen to get some flies tied for while I’m there.
