- Ryan's dream car is the legendary BMW 1M, but since they are extremely rare and difficult to find, he has set about trying to make his own version. Along the way, he continually upgraded his 2009 BMW 135i to make it faster and faster.
He has upgraded the turbocharger, fuel system, wheels and exhausts. That's before he went all out after breaking 3 gearboxes. Eventually, he settled on the dual-clutch 'box from the M3, which is currently doing the job...for now.

The DCT was also availble for the the E90, but never became popular. Apart from in the US-only 335is of which I owned one for a while. I upgraded with Pure turbos, FBO and a Quaife LSD. Making close to 500hp and 700Nm it pulled like a train. Never had an issue with the DCT, which was flashed with XHP for better coping with the insane torque. No N/A V8 M3 ever came close to that 700NM figure.
My current BMW has the brilliant 8-speed ZF, but it doesn't offer those kick-in-back shifts of the N54-DCT combination. I also ran a lighter M4 flywheel for better timing and spool up (and acceleration). No chatter to speak of.

I think these are the smaller 18" version. I think the Z4 has the 19s which where also on the E92.
I don't think the et is the same but I could be wrong 😂

335is had the 18" style 313 from factory and you had to pay for the 19" option.
