It would be very nice to get some content on the E12/E28 535i aka isandla semfene. Growing up I knew that those cars would pull so hard in 1st gear that when you changed gear to the second the towbar would hit the floor as it's pulling. How true is that???
The was one that was featured on Speed and Sound magazine in the mid 20's, it's owner was a late Mr Johnny Viera (if I'm not mistaken) the car was then under his wife's ownership. It was a very mintcar back in those day, It'd make a very good barn find if you were to follow up on it.

On the convertibles the switch on the door lock wears out and doesn't activate the window to go up. a cable tie around the "switch button" is a good temporary fix
I've always liked these 90s BMW's so maybe one day I might get one of these e36 M3🤔 but I want it in a custom metallic British Racing green colour which I wish BMW made it in but probably I might need to see you at some point to get it done😂

I must say the E36 is slowly taking over the SA car scene as the next best thing after the E30. I owned the 318i motosport in Dakar yellow, to this day, I regret selling that car. Great content as always Chip.

Beautiful car, you mentioned you fav colours, including Daytona violet(not sure if it's 96' specific) but I think you missed cosmos black, but my favorite used to be a standard coupe in silver, polished wheels, nice drop, and some Nos, they love Nos just ask Logan naicker back in the day

My first car was an Avis Blue 4Door,titan interior,I loved the looks,tone and drive so much,it was my first dream car.Regarding your tip,I would disagree a bit,its a bit late to start buying the 2 doors,the prices are allready ridiculous,but yes u are right,it will only get more valuable in time.Your first 3 colours are spot on,I personally only like the wheel lip to be polished.The only other significant difference between the 2 & 4 door is that the 2 door has slimmer tail-lamps.And yes when I owned mine in the 2000's the trend was white lenses,which I still prefer.
Only problem is E36's were such a bad build quality. Door panels coming loose etc.
4 door has a stiffer chassis. Bmw used 4 door for race cars....that said I have a coupe in alpine white / black interior

In Swaziland 🇸🇿 the 325is nd e36 m3 are very hard to find only the e46 upwards you can find
12:20 from my understanding the 3.0 has the motosport on the wheels while the 3.2 is without text. Sedan and coupe

As Salaam Mu Alykoem brother 🤲 I was fortunate to buy a German spec from the same gentleman 12 years ago😂 . You were lucky to reach home, the car's diff gave up 5 Kms before reaching home. I'm still waiting for the diff he promised me 12 years ago🤷 secondly the heater valve same problem 😁 he said these cars normally get hot inside 😂 but never the less it was a blessing in disguise 🤲 I fitted a 3.94 diff 👌 changed the heater valve. It's not normal for an M3 to get hot inside the car 😂, thirdly an M3 with mudflaps is a no no 😱 . That's the game of buying cars. Now the Dakar yellow is sought after. German spec is a good investment 👌 M3' E36 is a benchmark for all vehicles. Another great episode 👌

I had a car like this back in 2007, had the same issue with the window not going up when closing, it wasn't alignment of the doors. As u close the door, it pushes a little switch close to the lock, over tome that switch wears down, I simply rebuilt it to the correct shape using pratley putty and it worked perfectly again, I didn't have to remove any parts of

Grootman could you perhaps talk about the history of BMW cars that appeared on South African Movies, i for one would like to know what happened to the E36 M3 that appeared on Gangsters Paradise, also could you share the history of special BMWs that South Africa produced such as the E36 318is motorsport amongst other models.
