- Walt Disney Studios took to the stage to show off footage from many of its upcoming films and as expected, they finally showed off footage from Fede Alverez’s Alien: Romulus.

Let’s be better men, and not perpetuate the hogwash that Alien 3 was some sort of detriment to the series. Watch the assembly cut when revisiting that film and tell me it isn’t good. That, to me, is the quintessential alien movie. The world building is phenomenal, and it’s bleak and hopeless. My favorite Xenomorph of the lot, too. I’ll never be convinced that it isn’t great. Hands down my favorite Alien film. No question.
They need to modernize the graphics on it to look more competent, with filters to give it the same feel as before
I don't think having the original Big Chap surviving diminishes Ripley's achievement. We're meant to not know if it survived. For me, doing this would bring the ALIEN back from the basic cannon fodder of ALIENS and into the truly unknowable, perfect organism that Ash talks about: "Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility". I'm all for it.
AFAIK it's supposed to take place between the events of Alien and Aliens, so it's basically an interquel. Isn't that the case?
It's meant to take place 20 years after Alien, But it will link to Alien Covenant

Alien Romulus takes place after alien I'm excited to see it the use of face hungers using their tales to drown people is weird after the re-release of alien seeing it on the big screen, but its my opinion I see your worrys.
Genetically engineered the leaks talk about scorpian tail on facehugger with spikes on ends of fingers it’s a really cool design
It's the xeno that has the stinger tail which all versions had since. Of the other parts of the aliens life cycle, only the Queen Hugger has a stinger tail.
@@RoaryUK nope in Romulus they been genetically modifying them Romulus facehuggers have a scorpian tail that stands on end like a scorpian and it’s got a stinger also all of the facehuggers “fingers” have razor sharp barbs on them Romulus facehuggers come from a mechanical “egg” and can swim like I said imo it all sounds really cool in Romulus they have a genetically engineered new hybrid at the end as final boss

No it doesn't mean there's a Queen. As shown by egg-morphing in the first film and how David engineers the eggs in Covenant, the latter of which we'll probably see in Romulus.

Literally every single Alien movie has a woman as the main character
It is so hilarious to watch people deny the importance of representation in media for decades, only to whine when more of it benefits other groups.
According to newly released rumours,the story starts with a spaceship discovering the remains
of the first xenomorph from the alien movie.They bring it to the nearest spacestation and extract it
for eggs which creates the facehuggers.Then the whole spacestation gets infected and all the humans
dies,and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind.
When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate.
Then a battle breaks out,and only one off the investigators manage to escape.
Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct,but
before that happens,the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings,but with blue skin.
And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?
They extract Big Chaps DNA and reverse engineer it back to the black goo, from this W/Y recreates their own creatures that look similar to the aliens we all know. There are unconfirmed rumours that Big Chap eventually comes back to life after being badly injured while frozen in deep space, but there is no Queen or Amanda Ripley in this movie.
If they were dead set on tying this to Prometheus/Covenant they could have had WY find the Covenant and David's experiments. Finding and reverse engineering the still living Big Chap is dumb and undoes Ripley's struggle. Also, it took several big bad Marines to pull a single facehugger off Ripley in Aliens and these Zoomers can just brush off swarms of them? The more I hear the less hope I have for this movie.

Big Chap either isn't alive or they just think he's dead. That's why they reverse engineer his DNA in the first place to make their own creatures.
If anything undoes Ripley's struggle it's Aliens by giving her guns.
