Every reviewer is talking bad about the SQ2, while praising the Cupra Ateca. Yes, taste is subjective and individual. But I don't like the Cupra Ateca. It just looks ugly and bulky. In my opinion, from all the available options (T-Roc R, Cupra Ateca, SQ2), the SQ2 is the most sexy looking car.
Yet another pointless SUV. Whilst the Q2 looks better than most it has higher fuel consumption, is slower and worse handling than a conventional hatch; its also tiny inside. What's the point? Why are people buying these types of cars? Crazy. Would have to pass this over for a Golf Type R, Audi S3, or most likely a M140i. Way more fun, better handling and has that fabulous 6 cylinder.

That £40k road tax levy is a devil even for those of us looking at 1 year old models. I also get the driving space thing as I'm over 6ft, but equally I found the seats in the Q2 (haven't sat in SQ) and T-ROC a bit narrow and the sides set off sciatica, which is maddening when otherwise it seems so practical.
I can’t quite see why you are so critical of a: price..... the basic Golf R costs £35K b: limited room for 3 in the back. few larger cars can do that either. My latest Golf GTI has a list price of £32K and that is just a rather nice hatchback.
These tiny SUVs are completely pointless. Less practical than the hatchbacks they are based on and just a way for companies to suck away SUV obssessed idiots money.
Audi are in danger of pricing themselves out of many shortlists. The styling is becoming very fussy and cheap in details, and with the SQ2, outdated. The A1 pricing is a joke.
In another words pointless suv wanna be small car. Light speed depreciation.... Sq7 or sq5 at the very minimum, anything smaller you are kidding yourself.

Not pointless for me. We have a steep driveway where the extra ground clearance comes in handy. This will be a contender for my wifes next car.
