- Sorry about the clickbait title, but I felt like it was a little appropriate in this case. It's not entirely untrue! 😬
I hope you enjoy!

This is why I love public transport. In my previous job I drove 50-55 minutes by car each way. Now I take public transport for an hour and even though it's a bit longer I feel much less exhausted. I can take a nap, look at my phone, no need to concentrate at all. And I pass through the city, so if I need to run an errand, it is right there.
One is never afraid of the unknown; one is afraid of the known coming to an end. 😊
One huge tip for your home office: please have a dedicated place where you work and where you only work - if you have the space at home. With this you'll never mix up home office time with your free time. I've seen people working at the kitchen table and getting lost in work as they mix private and work stuff...
All the best for the start of your new job 👍
Best wishes to your new job Nate. I had a job for five years were i drove minimum two hours every day and this was so much wasted time, enjoy your new job. Greetings from Hamburg
Great news. I get your mixed feelings, I had those too when I switched jobs, but you will meet new people and it looks like your working environment improved as well. Working a lot from home office will need some time to getting used too, I know from experience. Today, I wouldn't want to go back, it saves so much time you can spend on other things and it can make life easier. Good luck with your new job, wish you all the best.
First, congratulations for your new job. I always like your moto vlogs, they are kinda cool. Working from home can be nice. I experienced that the last years, but now I enjoy riding my bike (as in bicycle) to work two to three days a week again. One trip is about four miles and takes 25 minutes door-to-door. I really enjoy the fresh air in the morning. So, all the best and have a good start at your new job 😊.
Driving to the workplace should be considered working time. Employers should pay this time as normal hourly wages.
Good luck bro best wishes ✌
Congratulations on the new job.
Working from home full time can be lonely, but on the other hand you'd be sitting in an office wondering why you can't work from home?
I think you'll be fine.
Make sure you have proper breaks and have a walk or something.
When I work from home, I shower and get changed to get separation, which I think is important.
Its an odd feeling when you leave a job, but i the end, you have to look after yourself
All that time you'll get back, priceless!
All those unnessesary stops at those big intersections with trafficlights or stop signs. It cost you so much time. In the Netherlands (and many other countries) we would use roundabouts at almost all those intersections and they would be 20 times safer and cost you almost no stopping time.....
Nate, g00d luck wih the new job. It's sad to leave a job were you know that you are genuinely going to be missed. You must be dreading that 30 seconds commute from the bedroom to your office, you must be at your witts end with worry.
Good luck, hope you won't oversleep!
Sray safe, Nate! I can relate to sooo much that you've pointed out.
Been a temp worker, here in Germany for so many years.
New company, when you felt welcome by the co-qorkers you leave behind..
What's it gonna be, here?
Worked out fine for me in most cases. Very fine, sometimes.
Wearing a helmet, as soon as I hit a highway, even in Oklahoma.
Wearing a helmet in Germany (cause I have to). Workmates telling me: "you came riding to work. Even in the winter!"
Yes, mate! Haha! I can relate to so mich of this.
Wishing you all the best at the new job. Don't fear! If someone asked me if I'd like to work with you: I'd say: gladly!
That's why I keep on watching your stuff.
Greetings from the far north of Germany
I´m curious about the way to your new job. But be careful, don´t do the vlog before you really know the way 😉
My mother tongue is German and not English. So I may have misunderstood you.
My husband is a driver for the public transport company in Vienna.
The transport company in Vienna pays anyone who is willing to start as a driver a bonus payment of €1000.
€1000 just for being willing to start as a driver.
How bad does an employer have to be to buy employees on bad working conditions for €1000!?
Does Wiener Linien have a bad reputation as an employer? I don't live in Vienna so I don't know. A lot of companies give their employees a bonus now, because it is so difficult to find somebody. I think even the state is doing it now. Not sure if that alone is a sign of a bad employer.
here in denmark its not unusual a export truck driver gets 20-30k dkk to modify the truck to fit him best. it makes the truck feel more like a home that way. they can use it on a custom seat ,entertainment system or whatever they feel like.
Hey Nate, at 12:05 with the footage sped up like that you should have used THIS song instead 😂

I know very much what you mean when you opened with getting your gear on. I've got almost 60 years of riding under my belt. But you have to adjust your thinking. What you are really doing is donning your armor like a knight of old to help you overcome all of those beasts you will encounter on the road while riding. You just never know when that Subarusauris might jump out in front of you or a big cat like a Jaguar wanders over into your path and ruin your whole day.
