Pulled my ZRX apart for a leaking fuel sending unit gasket, decided to change the plugs while I was under there and found oil in my spark plug wells. Turns out there's 4 individual spark plug gaskets that between the valve cover gasket and the head. I figure I better buy a new valve cover gasket cause I just know that shit will start leaking once I button it all back together.
@@tunedspec1740 No, I'm actually checking into that after watching your vid, also since I'm in here, gonna check and adjust valves if out of spec. Finger crossed cause if not it's math and shim kit money. I'm kinda getting into mine at the moment and I'm doin most of it for the first time. Got the basics on hand, tools, stands, factory manual and various new OEM parts. I just measured all clutch plates and replaced a single steel and upgraded the springs. New clutch slave cylinder spacer, new torington bearing, Compton Customs alternator tensioner. The deeper I dig the more shit I find! Once everything gets done that "SHOULD" be done, I got a new set of 2CT's ready to mount. Love these things. My 2nd ZRX and my 4th KAWASAKI Nothing beats big bore KAWASAKI
@@tunedspec1740 Not really man, it kinda inpressed me how much stuff ou had to pull apart, had me wondering if I coulda got all that back together. That was a lot of work to fix a oil leak! Admittedly my money spending expedition got started over a clutch inspection and a fuel leak. Its crazy how fast one problem leads to another once you start looking. It's why most dealerships dont work on bikes older than 10 years old!
@tunedSpec primo where did you get those valve cover bolt seals? Im having the same issue with my 12 replaced the valve cover and still leaking in same area as your
Good on you, bro. You do you

Did you have to add washers or spacers on the bolts of the valve cover?

Have you seen my first ZX12R video? The fairing video, that's how I learned, I didn't know what I was doing.
