When I tell you her character Mary Jenkins irked me! She did! I still love 227 though, but Mary got on my nerves at times.
@@UA-camhatesthetruth I love Mary Jenkins! She was strict and sometimes prickly, but (usually) only had everyone's best interests in mind. Additionally, Mary's dry, yet direct humor was one of my favorite elements of "227".
After the first season, Marla Gibbs had one of the nicest wardrobes on television, which also worked beautifully within the context of the show. The costume designer really nailed it with Mary specifically. She could've been a lot of things, but I love where they landed.
