Mother Jefferson pulls out an old picture from the family album of her and Louise on a Staten Island beach at the time of the young woman's birth, which disproves the young woman's claim of Louise being her biological mother.
In the rest of the episode, George's mother proves that it wasn't Louise. It was always theorized that her mother was probably Louise's sister, who ran away when they were younger.
@@nenep1872 she came back later from France, with a son. She described how she left in humiliation, because she was the older sister ,and supposed to be setting a good example for Louise, and got herself pregnant. She could have had that baby,a girl, then left for France, and, had her son.
@melissagerber7231 yea but the baby louise sister had was boy. This girl is not related to louise at all. Louise briefly dated her dad, and he used louise name for the birth certificate for some reason. I guess for the mother to avoid shame
It was her daughter. Louise just didn't want to admit that she cheated on George when he was in Korea. He would probably divorce her and send her back to the hood. She didn't want that.
Also you’ve probably never owned anything in your life but that isn’t how divorce works, she’s been married to George for years a divorce wouldn’t have sent her back to the hood nigtavious.
This show was from TVs Golden era. Along with- All in the Family, Good Times, Different Strokes, What's Happening, Family Ties, Dukes of Hazzard, Gimme a Break, The Facts of Life. I watched and loved all these shows. They were wonderful comedy shows, but found a way to deal with societal issues and family matters in a way that was non-offensive and respectful. I can't believe the crap they put on TV now.
That happened on Allie MBeal. Some of her stored eggs were accidentally donated, against her directions not to do so. Her daughter came from a donated egg.

As a child and me having/knowing my parents, this episode of The Jeffersons caused me to be more sensitive to persons who don't have/know their parents...
It was a really good episode, Louise was not her mother. The most surprising part was that it was actually Mother Jefferson who cleared everything thanks to a picture she kept.
@@loveyuyu6208 your welcome, I check the comments before I watch something ,I just happened to remember this particular episode, Ironically,it was mother Jefferson ,who straightened this out..
Mother Jefferson found a photo of Louise dated sometime in July 1951 before the 10th where she was clearly not pregnant. The script here called for Isabel to repeat "I'm not your mother" for some reason instead of clearly stating "I've only been pregnant one time"! On a side note, Louise told Florence, in a later episode, that after Lionel she could no longer have children. It probably had nothing to do with this episode, but it was a good coincidence that the writers came up with that plot point for that other episode!
I think a woman would know if she'd had a kid or not.
I agree
Lol! Right!
😂😂😂😂😂
How can a woman know? @#TurkIshTaffy?
It’s not the knowing, it’s the admitting. They were throwing kinds of shade at Louise’s character!
George: "You better buy yourself some glasses, and look somewhere else, because she ain't here!"
😆😆🤣
Straight savage lol.😅👌
LOL!
They made it seem like it was possible that Louise just would’ve forgotten 9 months of pain and swelling ending with hours of labor 😂

She did Lionel.

I don't remember that part about Louise's sister... But would make sense... Too bad they didn't have DNA then they could know

Yes, her name was Maxine and she ran away when she was a teenager.

I loved watching this show growing up.
It makes me tear up.
Yeah I did too
Same
Why didn’t Louise just say she’s only been pregnant once!?
The young lady has all that personal information...........
This still didn't make any sense.
It was her daughter. Louise just didn't want to admit that she cheated on George when he was in Korea. He would probably divorce her and send her back to the hood. She didn't want that.

And people try to act as if The Golden Girls was the first sitcom to deal with societal issues in a thoughtful way.
What a CLASSIC lived this growing up!! Black love excellence and good humor AMEN right?🙏😂😂😂😂😂

East Elmhurst NY 🇺🇲....
My mother in law lives there too...
The Jeffersons is 70s
At first I was surprised that Loiuse had a daughter, but when I saw it until the end, it seemed like it was a misunderstanding
Damon Evans first appearance as the second Lionel
One of my favorite shows .
Where's the full episodes
One of my 2 favorite episodes of the Jeffersons ❤
Can you imagine if they REALLY introduced Louise’s daughter?! That would’ve really upset the whole show.
Actress Diane Sommerfield played a woman who claims she was Louise's daughter
I want to see the rest!!!
I remember the episode back then🙂
George and Louise only child is their son Lionel
I often wondered who would have inherited the cleaners and Louise and Gorge passed on. Lionel was not interested in carrying-on the family business.
*I was waiting for George to say “100% WILSON!”* 😂
Lionel was the only child of George and Louise
Where is the rest of the episode?
This was a great show. Will always be a great show.
I'm inclined to know the truth. Can somebody upload the sequel to this episode, please. Thanks.
Is the rest of this episode on you tube??
What year ? Love this show !$

It really gets funny after this.
Seen every episode of The Jefferson’s many times, this not her daughter.
I can understand if it was a man that didn't know he had a daughter. But a woman?! Come on. I don't buy that for one minute.

from a donated egg.
You're not supposed to. It's in the script. Good watchin' back then. Stream the episode to find out how such a thing was made plausible.

This the goofiest episode they ever did. Louise doesn’t know if a human being grew inside her for 40 weeks?? c’mon now

Most importantly, what was George doing in Korea?
He served during the Korean war
