The stand prevents the tires from getting flat spots so it's a win to me

I just got the smaller one, and I must say it is a really good set and would recommend it very much.
I watched this video four months ago when it first dropped. I see I commented and now I can say four months later I finally bought the set! So excited to build it!

To your point regarding the simultaneous release of the Tumbler and mini Tumbler- they also did this with the last 1989 Batmobile and the mini Limited Edition version. I think it’s the only other time it was done- in Australia, anyways! Thanks for the video!
I have the 1989 Batmobile and love it, but I'd rather Lego always release minifigure scale sets along side the UCS models. With a few exceptions I'd rather display a lot of little sets compared with a few huge ones. There's a place for both, but I'm glad this year there was the option for both.
The mini version was a freebie that came with the ucs version so its not quite the same
Just wish that the mini one hadn’t been a limited edition.

I used to have a friend who got the original Tumbler for Christmas and we had so much fun. That is what got me into the superhero LEGO line up

I really want to get this set as I missed out on the 2014 Tumbler. Also, I would love LEGO to release a UCS-styled Bat next year or maybe even a Bat-Pod.
Great to hear your thoughts on this! As a Batman fan who missed out originally, I was thrilled to see this come back as the after market price on the original is frightening!
And fingers crossed on The Bat! Was chatting with someone about that just yesterday. That would be so cool as a collector and minifigure scale set hopefully after that awesome mini tumbler!
I missed out on the first release so this is awesome. My favorite live action Batman and Batmobile overall, I’m glad I could get this.
Batman only works in black. And sometimes, really really dark grey. (don't let him now about the white frame underneath. That might twist his mind a little bit more)

Agreed with your assessment. I feel they mailed it in on figures. Love them, don't get me wrong. But missed opportunity for Rachel/Lucius instead of Joker or as you mentioned, a tan version with Bane. Looks like a rad set, but not one I'll be buying!

I'll probably pick up just bits and pieces of this set such as that new window design in the front and possibly the Minifigures as well. I already placed an order on the new tires which look way better than the original.

I have the original and was hoping for more upgrades such as functional suspension and steering. I know I'll buy it but seems so much like a re-release which doesn't bring much new to the table. Definitely a great product for those who missed out on the 2014.

Still can't believe Lego can't make the blue pins and red 2-length axels in black like they used to. I never had problems identifying them as a little kid, so I'm sure the adults and advanced builders who would be building something this complex would have no issues either.

Yeah, it is true what you said. Maybe we'll get a camo tumbler's version with three minifigures like Ras al Ghul or Talia, Batman and Bane.
I already own the 2014 version and I remember your review. What I would personally prefer is the Animated Series Batmobile from 90's. Yet the next eventual step would be the Classic TV series Batmobile since they already got it done at minifig-scale. The red-black design would be incredible and visually striking for anybody 50-70 and up who will eventually see that on a shelf.
I'm not exactly surprised by the lack of new things since the 2014 already had some amazing stuff and major flaws for how not too sturdy it felt. Unlike the 1989 Batmobile which is incredible across the board except the exhaust pipes, the Tumbler has flimsy sections and that bothers me even today.
Check rebrickable- there’s a good Batman TAS version of the Batmobile as an alternative build for the the ‘89 Batmobile set.
I fel like they could have included a batpod to make it even better but still a really good set!
I REALLY wish LEGO made another Bat-Pod as well. Like you mentioned towards the end of your review, when he makes his return and the cops start to chase him on the bat-pod instead of Bane, and when he's surrounded, the back tire spins him towards the car carrier truck... ugh, what a scene!!
Dude, give it a couple of years. If history has shown us anything it's that they will recycle everything.

It lools good just few updates added .no more needed. I got a great thort for a moc build yousing this set. An may be one outta the other tubler set or put the two together for my moc build. ..fan will be happy on the new mini figs
Missed the 2014 set as i was, Well 13 at the time. So i have ordenes this, specialfly cause i bought the joker minifigure seperatly from 2014, so having both of ledgers jokers is very nice

The Bat would be awesome! The Batpod is already available, in that you can easily get all the pieces for it and build it. The instructions are on the internet.
Already pre-ordered this set, I missed out on the 2014. Hopefully they re release this in the Camo pattern with Bane, Thalia Al Ghoul, and Commissioner Gordon, John Blake, or Catwoman
I just got the batplane 1989. First Lego set I bought in almost 2 years. I am a huge batman fan and I used to have a huge collection of Lego batman sets but eventually I grew out of the sets and never bothered playing with Legos. But recently, seeing these newer sets I just had to buy them. I so far only bought the bat plane. Planning on purchasing the tumbler or the 89 batmobile in December.
89 Car is massive and biggest yet in terms of size and pieces. Was such a great build experience
Is this new build more sturdy than the 2014 one? I kept hearing complaints that the old one is easy to fall apart.

They released the 89 Batmobile and included the Mini-Fig scaled one with it. So they've done it before for sure.

The Tumbler is the best of all versions of Batman's cars throughout his history. I love this. I have a cheap Chinese mini version that is nowhere near as detailed or awesome but it was all I could get at the time. Now I know what I want for Christmas!! This will fit with both my Lego obsession and my extreme Batman obsession.
I’d like a Batman returns UCS set of the bat boat coming with Batman returns versions of Batman, penguin, and catwoman
going to have to pass on that beauty but did recently get the minifigure scale one and love it. fun build. may be smaller but still looks nice. plus it was neat to a get a grounded in reality looking scarecrow minifig. that joker looks though too.
06:47 Are the brown pieces supposed to be removed? I know they were placed at a point in the build where you had to turn it upside down. I thought they were there to make the model stable during the build? Edit : Just checked the manual, Brown pieces are present in last build photo.. What a weird choice :)
I have the Tumbler from 2014 and built the Bat pod. I want this set so I can have the Tumbler on each side of the Bat pod. :)
Small fact on the real tumbler they couldn't get the steering to work because of how the wheels are situated so they had to turn to a British company to sort the steering
they’re also releasing a technic “the batman” batmobile alongside it
They made the stand because the tyres are getting flat when you display it and dont move it for a while.

As a non-Batman fan, I can't get behind the design of the Tumbler. Not to say it's a bad set or design (because it definitely is not), but there is no doubt that it's design is quite strange and unique. I am sure Batman fans will love this set, however. Got to enjoy the new figures too! Especially the Joker.
Can the minifigures sit in the actual tumbler?
I built the minifig scale model yesterday and i think it will be enough for me, it's a nice display piece even for it's size and the building experience was great, some interesting technics involved in the build aswell... ...will pass on the UCS one.

I totally agree. I planned on getting the UCS one but I'm so impressed and satisfied with the minifig scale model that I might just pass on this one and buy a different UCS set.
Actually, Scarecrow is in the Dark Knight. In the beginning.
Ya know ow what I didn't like about the build is that the places where they put hinges/movable doors, windows etc. either the don't make sense like the side doors and windows. Yes the door cam swing open but once it's open there is a wall there and then the window itself doesn't swing up either AND the two front windshield are also on hinged but barely move, WHY?!?!. other than those two things I love it. Just wish they made the build that makes sense.
My youngest son, he's 32 just purchased one of these. Said he paid nearly $240. I can't say a word about it, except I'm jealous as Hell.
I'm a big time Lego fan, and have invested, I know over $1000 over the years. Well, not really, many of ours were gifted to us.
We have a bunch!!! Two Tupperware tubs, like 30" X 18" by 18" tall. Both are nearly full. And HEAVY. Gotta be 10' of 1000s of individual pieces. Have some of the original boxes too, lots of instruction manuals too.

I'd have to say I disagree with you about getting the tan Tumbler. That was isn't as iconic and if we are going to get a vehicle from TDKR then it shoul really be, like you mentioned, The Bat from TDKR. I'm honestly super glad we got this remake. I unfortunately never got the 2014 rendition so this one gives me a chance to add one of the coolest Batmobiles from the best Batman movie to my collection in a super way
