The Justice Department indicted 37-year-old LaDonna Wiggins with bank fraud, making a false statement to a bank and money laundering.

This is really bad, thinking things are getting better but when there is greed. What can i do? I am 58 years old and on the cusp of retirement. I have been incapacitated since 2009. My wife is retiring at the age of 53 in three months and my $750k portfolio is down to $492k. While we were both still in good health and could enjoy spending time outdoors doing the things we loved to do, we wanted to retire. This is true. I'm in my mid 50's now. My wife and I were following this same trajectory. Last two years, I pulled out my money and invested with her Advisor. Not catching up with her profits over the years, but at least I earn more. I'm making money even before retiring, and my retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.

No -you don't need an accountant! The program was designed so that you could apply very easily through a bank - which did little checking on the application because the funds were guaranteed.
Tax preparers can do it to. It's all about filing the correct paperwork.

Many people did this. My friends boss did this... he bought a luxury car and some houses... (meanwhile, the company was in full operation the whole time...during quarantine, without following Covid-19 restrictions) . And the thing is that now, the banks have changed the way this people need to file the paperwork.... The banks are making it easier for this people by asking for less paperwork, less forms, less questions, less receipts! So, many of this people won’t have to pay the money back. I think it’s terrible... so sad... so unfair. Definitely the middle class is the class that suffers the most.
