Thanks guys if your ever down in Devon let me cook for you guys on an expedition. I’m a chef. Been cooking 20 years. It would be sick to camp out with you guys and blow your minds with epic camp food.
The owner of the cars said he has a special museum for wrecked and special looking, artsy volkswagen from the 50s to the 80s. The cars in there are just leftover part cars or cars he couldn‘t show off in the museum due to not having enough space. So you are right LLoydy
Yep they're great until you crash them. I had a MK2 breadvan. With the help of a friend I put a polo GT engine in it, lowered it, widened it, put a MK3 interior in it and converted it into a 5 speed. Then I hit black ice on a country lane and shortened it by a meter. My head went through the windscreen. Never driving a car without airbags ever again 😅
Glad you called it a collection and not stolen. Exploring with Josh with his clickbait titles and exploring with fighters are always so eager to colab when Josh comes across the pond 🐕 I didn't watch any other youtuber explore this cave but im watching your vid buds
Seen the other crappy explore UA-camrs come here with zero idea what they're talking about and assuming they're all stolen lol. Cant believe im saying this but glad to see some "smart" guys look at the cars P.s love you guys keep up the content 😘
Amazing, glad to see a full video on it! One place I'd love to go but glad it's hidden so well. It's interesting that you guys mentioned cutting back on urbex. I used to watch because of the urbex stuff, now I watch because of you three. You're like the top gear trio of UA-cam.
The vehicle with the hand gears my cousin had one, although he lost the ability to walk, but was excellent in driving his car, it was certainly a nifty car fun to watch him with all the gears, God Bless, Thanks Guys great video in the Swiss Mine
The modified car- my uncle was a quadriplegic and could shift his legs and arms. He had his van modded so he could use his knees for brake and gas, and had the shifter, turn signal and wipers extended to reach them. Not gonna lie, I didn't feel confident to ride in the vehicle with him, but he never got in an accident the 30 + years he drove.
Amazing. So exciting!!!!! Adorable Al is so knowledgeable, he has a lovely glow about him in this vid. Nortons excitement couldn't be contained, so expressive. Incredible place!
Thanks for sharing this amazing location with us! It brought back memories of my first car that was a 1974 VW Beetle with semi-automatic transmission. I loved that car!! One great feature was that if it broke down (which unfortunately older cars usually do) you could push it to safety by yourself because it was light enough to do that! I've always loved the VW Bug but they ruined a good thing when they (years later) brought it back with the new look! The new bug wasn't as nice! Thanks again guys for a nostalgic look back at some nice VW cars!🚘 🥰❤❤❤
That logo is the 'wolfsburg edition' models, extremely rare! I have a TDI and R32 Mk5 golf and have switched the badges to the Wolfsburg edition ones because they're mint!
Nice to see you back on an Urbex, That shitty lashed up black convertible beetle was actually a production car, but its rare as fuck and that aint one.
That was a cool video, I love old cars. I can't believe how many cars were down there, it was incredible. Thanks for sharing this, really enjoyed it. Take care guys. Looking forward to your next video. Have a good week!
18:36 it’s a old American newspaper delivery car. They’d sit in the passenger seat and drive like that so they could easily deliver newspaper quick and fast.
Seen pictures of this place before, the castle logo is Wolfsburg and the the “nova” 🤣 is a mk3 polo “breadvan”. It’s cool you guys found this place great urbex worth watching. I am loving the 4X4 as well more greenlaning would be awesome
Would be cool if you guys went back there for an extended holiday, and took 13 copies of the same book in different languages (you choose the book), an assortment of chocolates and fresh fruit, 2 jars of famous oil, bed sheets, club music, blueprints of a corner office, and Jackal skin rug, imported candles, buffet meat, beanbag chairs, a weeks worth of lawn clippings, a battery powered snapper, 16 months of South African MREs, door bell instructions, and a few brushes. That would make for an epic video. Looking forward to the next one gents!
Hate those guys they always try to create drama out of anything they do claiming it's haunted or that the places are some sort of secret stash for theives instead of finding out what the places actually are
8:14 so idk about in Europe but ik here in the States there was a niche trend of putting electric forklift motors into classic cars. That may be the same kind of thing.
I'm surprised you have never seen a "bread van" Polo before! They were everywhere in the 90's and you are the same age range as me, apart from baby Al. Maybe they were only popular in the South of England.
It’s great it’s a tight kept secret. I mean if you have the sheer determination to find it then you’ve probably also got the respect not to vandalise it. Vandals generally don’t put in years of research to find a place just to destroy. Great to see you guys get to experience this awesome find in a pretty much vandalism free state ✌🏽.
I hate it when people write on dirty car panels. It may seem harmless but scratches the hell out of the paint! It takes some intense detailing to remove the scratches, and that's only if you have thick enough paint to do so. Otherwise you have someone's name and date permanently engraved into your paint.
@@SuPrAmAd101 I agree, i was just thinking about if they were to ever be pulled out and restored by the owners. I think i'm just still salty about someone writing "clean me" on my mint garaged Fiesta Mk3 that was dusty, from being stored for 10 years. It was only on a trailer for a couple of hours and someone did that, It took me ages to get the scratches out
Why don't you make a trip to the U.S. Country is huge and has a lot of abandoned buildings, including some abandoned towns like Centralia located in Pennsylvania. Lots of golden gems here as well.
I'm wondering if the one with extra pedals and levers on the passenger side was a teaching car. When I took driving lessons, my instructor had pedals on their side in case the student was about to propel them into certain death or whatnot.
@@spooley Thanks. Looking back to see that some were on the driver's side, that makes sense and of course it's for accessibility. I mentioned the other option because in absence of a decal, and thinking they were all passenger-side, I remembered being in a car kitted out this way before. (And my memories of driving are distant.)
I was actually thinking the same thing as I was watching the video. But the hand levers made me think that it could also have been a teaching vehicle for people that don't have the use of their legs...hence the hand levers and the ones on the passenger side are for the instructor. Regardless what they were meant for originally it was great seeing some old cars in great condition!!!🥰❤❤❤
Ozzy Osbourne.. The crown where Black Sabbath played .. No one has done a explanation of the Crown and I think the back door is open after you jump a gate..
A little info from a car guy: these are parts cars for the museum for whatever reason not worth fixing. The keys are in them because small town Europe isn't like Leeds, people don't tend to just steal things. Errrrm and yes, breadvan is right 👍
Amazing that Alex managed to start that one car, vroom vroom vroom vroom!
that concrete is sprayed on to prevent small loose bits from falling. we call it shotcrete
sounds like shit creek
My teenage son always shotcretes the back of the toilet 😫
Thanks guys if your ever down in Devon let me cook for you guys on an expedition. I’m a chef. Been cooking 20 years. It would be sick to camp out with you guys and blow your minds with epic camp food.
I owned that exact same color Polo at 10:10 in the 90s! And our family car in the 70s was an orange Beetle! What treasures!
I'm pretty sure " nooo waaaayyy" has got to be lloydys catchphrase by now! We need it on a shirt!!
Way!!! 😎

The type of Polo at 10:10 is as Al mentioned is affectionately known as a bread van. I drove one for a couple of years as well as a Polo coupe.
Had a few basically polo estate! 👍🏻

Yep, there are push-pull and also some where you accelerate by pulling the lever towards the floor.
Woo! Let's go Sunday!!!!
Amazing. So exciting!!!!! Adorable Al is so knowledgeable, he has a lovely glow about him in this vid.
Nortons excitement couldn't be contained, so expressive. Incredible place!
That's an amazing find, I would be taking loads of photos lol. Sortie is French for Exit
It's not concrete, it's spray-crete. They dye it various colours for different layers so they can tell which bits have been sprayed.

This is the best car spare parts storage place I have ever seen. Great explore lads.
8:38 The Logo is Wolfsburg where the main factory that builds VW's is located
Scirocco was a awsome car back in time...
Yea the Mk2.
I had 3 back in the day.
The mk1 and 2 were yeah
It wasn't a Scirocco it was a Passat they never made a 4 door Scirocco anywhere ever
@@stevenmcmorn3534 you right, if its not rebuild privat...
My Scirocco was a bag of shit 😅

Freaking awesome find. Would love to visit

🎉 WELL DONE lads ...keep up the great work 👍
The next time you go on a car exploration, take a battery jump pack (small type/TopDon or similar) to attempt to start some vehicles.
Hi
That first VW looks like he is 4wheeled.
And that is a very cool location.
That was cool thankyou for sharing

Great video as always! But what was that noise at 2:05 after Lloydy says ‘it’s huge…’ sounds like a cat…
Just watching now and I totally heard that too. It's actually Norton that says, "It's huge", and then there's a nose like a cat or a child.
Ah, heard it again twice about 6:45 and I suspect it's a text notification.
What I've been waiting for!!! ❤❤❤

Wow bloody amazing
Passenger controls are for a rural mail carrier. Most likely
that blue concrete looks like the blue asbestos from austrailia
I'm dying for a vw polo breadvan like my dad had when I grew up. Seeing all these vw's makes me sad
Can I please buy a cap / hat that Norton is wearing at the start of the video please. It's hell cool.
I’ve got a 1986 vw t25 camper

I'm wondering if the one with extra pedals and levers on the passenger side was a teaching car. When I took driving lessons, my instructor had pedals on their side in case the student was about to propel them into certain death or whatnot.
That's a good point, my drivers Ed car was a shitty little Toyota that could hardly accelerate on the highwa and had that double pedal setup.
The other controls on drivers side are for someone who lost the use of their legs, can be installed in most auto transmission cars
