You should know that the 2 input ports have very different purposes. One is garden variety input to metering venturi, feeding the crankcase. The other is the air supply for stratified scavenging, which greatly reduces emissions and fuel waste from short-circuiting of some fresh air & fuel from transfers to exhaust. The idea being so supply air-only as first feed through transfers, so that can be exhausted. I've a few saws with that stuff, from 40 cc RedMax, 50 cc PPro, 61 cc Dolkita, 576 XP, XT, AT Husqy, so it's not exotic. Much preferred, in fact.
First thing to replace on new saws is the decomp,Learned this the hard way year old new saw blew up from having a decomp that failed and it was never used,so I remove them first thing. These new bicc Husky saw are nicer then anything else made.
Do you know if they are selling the connectivity device yet? Cannot find it on the spare parts section on Husqvarna website just has the device holder available.
I'm quite sure that the sprocket is the same as in the 572. So you can use the sprocket for the 572 and 3120 for a .404 chain. I've done this on my 572 and it stays sharp much longer than a 3/8.
I have 395s and 372s for all the falling I do. This is the first time I've seen an auto tune taken down. Very cool video. Thanks. I was curious about the cooling fins in the cylinder, do you think it's got more or less than the older husqvarna saws. ( 372 and 395 ) I dont really have any overheating issues. Just curious if the newer saws like this do well in that department. Thanks again. Really enjoy your guys work
I use my chainsaws in the city. 60-in diameter up to 48 inch 20 ft up to the first garage maybe 80 in. The first 10 or 15 ft off the stump is filled with spikes and nails. I was thinking 32-in bar with a carbide chain. What do you think. Rough cutting in the city. Hello from Piqua Ohio.
Nice review. But please, tell us about the cheap SKF bearings husky uses in the new 572xp, the ones that spit steel balls inside the crankcase. Do they use those in the new 592 as well?
SKF bearings are not cheap, but it is very concerning to hear that they are failing! I sure hope that the 592XP will not befall the same fate. I just bought one at just under 1,500 USD.
have a 555 autotune 1 of the first ones built has 31 hours on it according to my dealer. it sits in the shed cause it wont stay running and my dealer wont give me any thing for it!!! went back to my old saws had them rebuilt. $600 spent on a 555 that i cant use after 31 hours. just will not stay running. my dealer has changed every thing except the carb
The dual intake "ports" do not allow "twice as much air in". They are, as with all the new saws strato. The top channel feeds fresh air only to scavenge the transfers, the lower feeds fuel/air mix. This is purely because of dumb EPA /EU regs. High revving, bordering on lean running, less low end torque is the result. In big timber and 404 it's predecessor 395 will eat it. Same as with 660 v 661
So Josh you're telling us James spent the weekend in bed with the chainsaw and in the woods🤣🤣 no but serious it can be plugged into a laptop and the data can be downloaded from it that is clever that's a good bit of kit (Had to watch and listen again it uses a NGK plug and not a torch plug tut tut and jame bedded it in not been in bed with it over the weekend)but once again really good video
I’m a little disappointed with this saw have being using Past 4 weeks I’ve gone through 6 tanks of fuel starting to loosen up a bit very powerful and smooth saw. What I’m disappointed about air filter is not as good as the 572 & 395 xp small particles are still getting through under base of air filter not happy also the felling dogs are very flimsy you would think Husqvarna would put some decent dogs on a 90cc saw. They also claim it has more power than the STIHL ms 661 they feel pretty much even to me in power and in cutting speed not a big deal of difference for what it’s worth the STIHL ms 661 is $300 cheaper. No I wouldn’t buy this saw again.
Someone else commented that they were using a bit of waterproof grease where the filter meets the air intake. They said it fixed it completely. I imagine a silicone putty or something would do the same thing.
Hi Daniel very good point you made that will work. The comment I made about 592 xp Husqvarna has failed with there air filter set up I have to clean air filter after heavy days work running the saw hard. Saw dust particles are getting pass the filter into the manifold. As for the 395 xp I can run that saw hard for a week and it’s still clean no saw dust in manifold. The best filter set up I seen 395xp
@@tonytribisonna9886 I have a 592xpg back ordered. Are you pleased with it other than the air filter issue? It's a shame that the the saw is lacking in such a critical area but i'm going to use grease right away on mine.
Hi Daniel you will not be disappointed with this saw has plenty of power smoother lighter than 395xp and cuts quicker more chain speed and also louder make sure you wear good hearing protection . I’ve never had any starting issues I use good quality premium fuel 95 octane & good 2 stroke oil. Don’t run ethanol fuel Another thing I forgot to mention you won’t like the saw the way it runs the first few tanks of fuel auto tune constantly adjusting which is normal it should loosen up 4 to 5 tanks off fuel you will notice revs go up and so does power. I’m happy with the power gets better the more I use. I just hope Husqvarna make an improvement filter so it sealed up better but for now grease will have to do.

I just picked up a 592 last week. It starts so easy. Such a pleasure to run compared to my 500i. That third gen Autotune really makes it simple.
That’s awesome, nice one Jamison 😎
Which do you prefer. I would like to buy a new saw. But canny make up my mind. The 500i or the 592.

A guy with a bad shoulder owns a 395. Always makes for a sore arm when starting cold. My question is will the 592 start easier?
You will have to buy one to find out haha. We have other videos on our channel where you can see us starting them 👍🏼
Starts like a 70cc saw. Second pull. Use de-comp and primer on morning starts for best results.
Great break down video. Love mine. Great saw!

Yes the same rim sprocket will fit them all 👍🏼
Is there a time to break the saw in? Have them new and it looks like it's not at full power.
