    More upright than a cbr 600?. Not true at all. R6 has one of the most aggressive positions. Cbr has one of the MOST comfortable riding position .

      @@Ramasenirama How short are you? I'm on my tip toes on my R6 but I don't really mind since I'm used to that from road cycling. I think That said shorter often means lighter and I'm definitely too light for my stock suspension. Will need to get it re-sprung once I finish doing the wheel bearings. (I'm 5'6" and with the bike slightly leaned over at a stop I can flat foot on the left side. I think I could be a couple inches shorter and still feel comfortable.)

    This is why i could relate to this guy, because my bike is an alternative commuter if i dont want to drive the car and maintenance wise way cheaper than the car. Since i dont have a supercar. I could get the thrill of a super car on two wheels responsibly.

  • @RiderInRed
    @RiderInRed 4 роки тому +6

    No offense bro, but your shifting is obviously lacking any skill or experience. You're pulling the clutch earlier than you're letting your throttle go. It shouldn't do the whip up on the RPM when you're pulling the clutch to shift a gear. A lot of people also pointed out, you NEED to be in the powerbands with these bikes to feel the power. They were designed to be ridden around the 8K-15k range bro.
    Also, these bikes are notorious for very aggressive seat position. CBR is the least aggressive for most people out of the 4 Japanese 600cc makes.
    I realize this was two years ago but it got suggested to me just now and I figured I'll still spread some love and drop a comment! Overall, very sexy bike! Ride safely

    Lol 0-60 is definitely not 5 seconds. My MT-07 can do 0-60 in like 3.5 seconds and that thing is nowhere near as powerful as the R6. R6 is at least 3.5 to 60 and probably pulls hard as hell through the quarter mile. These are 11 second 1/4 miles machines no doubt.

    Is there any difference to the R6 and the GSXR 600 (both around 2008) torque low and mid ect? I’m unsure on what one to by,some say the R6 has nothing till over 10K but the GSXR 600 apparently has lots of bottom/mid torque?? Any advice would be great from someone who’s rode both

    Those struggling to get insured on these bikes, get something older, and maybe try and get a year of riding under your belt on a small bike (250 or 300) first. Full coverage for a newer 2015 R6 for me is over $300. Full coverage on a 07 is $80. Big difference. About to buy my first R6 here in the next couple weeks. Super excited to move up from my CBR300R to a 600. I put 15k miles on that little 300 in a year and a half.

      $900 liability or full coverage? Full liability for my R6 (so much more than the legal minimum) as a 21 yr old in Texas is ~$550 and price will fluctuate depending on city. Full coverage though was like $1700+ and it didn't make sense imo to pay an extra $1000/yr for a bike that won't get ridden as a daily and is over a decade old.

      I spent less than $1000 on gear. No need to blast money on fancy gear, as long as they’re functional then they’re good. I have an arai helmet (cost over $500) but my jacket and gloves were only $300. I already had boots and I found my riding pants on OfferUp for $25

      ThePirateMD anything over 20,000 miles on sports bikes is to be avoided only because it’s comparable to 100,000 miles on a car, the engine on bikes isn’t as durable as car engines

      @@cinnibeard4448 Wrong. I've personally seen a bike with 175,000 miles before. They last as long as cars as long as you take care of them, which most people don't do. Another reason high mileage bikes are rare is because they are often totaled before they reach 20k miles. I'm about to buy a 2007 R6 with 20k on it, selling my 2016 CBR300R for the same price and mileage.

    • @nathandaniel6540

      CinniBeard keep selling bikes at 20,000 there’s tons of people who would love pick up a pretty much brand new bike with low miles and actually put a lot of miles on it, maybe if you never change the oil 20,000 may be a lot and that’s a maybe. If you take care of your bike no reason you can’t hit at minimum 60k but more realistically 100k these 600cc are meant to be ridden hard way harder than most people will ride the bike

Taken it to the track and do that in controlled environments. Just because I don't hit 10k often doesn't mean it's not fun to ride or a bike that I wanted... ua-cam.com/video/QHug3GP9xvA/v-deo.html
