The gazelles sole is too soft, the samba leather is too rigid ( for me), the handball spec. will always be my no.1; in navy with light blue stripes…❤
The Samba "budget" version feels really cheap and hard to break in, these days. The leather upper doesn't deserve the term "leather" IMO. The nicer versions also feel a bit overpriced. But which classic shoe doesn't ;)

The good thing about adidas trainers is that they are timeless they never go out of fashion. Similar with Nikes. I have a pair of blue handball spezials and they’re probably my favourite adidas to date. I’ve had the superstars and gazelles in the past but I think the handballs are the best.

Spot on regarding your verdict on the Sambas. I've got a bit of wide feet and felt that tightness around the middle part as well as the rubbing against my ankle at the time I was breaking them in. Comfort has improved somewhat after multiple uses, thankfully. And finally, I wholeheartedly agree with the comfort factor on the Gazelles, though I'm basing this on the classic non-indoor Gazelles, and they're the ones I can comfortably slip on without having to untie the laces. Alas, I've never had the Spezials but am currently looking at a black/gray Cordura pair and perhaps may treat myself with them for Christmas, lol. Kudos as always to your video and enjoy the holidays.
Can’t put my finger on it but spezial just look good on me compared to the other two. I was somewhat hesitant initially because I see them everywhere, but I’ve come to love my black spezials.
The fact is these silhouettes are the greatest of all time. The Samba itself sold more than 35 millions pair worldwide since 1949. The number just keeps rising. And because soccer or football is the most popular sport in the world. It got even better. I wore the Sambas before the pre hype era. My first 3 sambas were all collabs and man they are a rarity now. One of them from Pharrell Williams, Starcow and Livestock.
I think the green ones are the most beautiful, specially with this indoor sole. I've just got them from Asos and I love them. Mine also came without the white laces.
I’ve always loved sambas while one of my brothers wears almost exclusively gazelles. We each love a different silhouette I’ve had a friend tell me she thought they looked like bowling shoes, but I love them and have all ways found them effortlessly chic. The point is find which you like and is comfortable and wear them. The heel tab in sambas is a bit higher just mush it around and it will soften up also a bit of alcohol before initial break in wears helps them out. I find often people fail to realize that even though it’s a sneaker it is leather and the material will soften with wear.
I like the busenitz. I feel like it’s a similar style with a bit more of a difference and they dont sell out so fast, and have different colorways. I have two pairs. A green and black pair, and a white and pine pair. They are probably some of my favorite shoes.
Sambas can be an absolute nightmare for your feet in the first few wears. I find the gazelles and onitsukas much more comfortable than samba and spezial
I’ve always owned vintage/classic adidas sneakers. I personally own all 3. I love them all. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I will say however… I think anytime I wear sambas, I get noticed.
i had a pair of busenitz years ago and i been wanting another pair again. theyre a skate shoe and have that big tongue like the samba OGs and suede upper that gives it a more refined look, plus padding so theyre not rough on the heels
i actually prefer the original Gazelles, they have a more classic look and aren't as flat, i had a pair like 10 years ago and i'm planning to buy a new pair next year to start reviving the adidas part of my collection
Yeah, the older ones look a lot nicer. Some of them look quite similar to the Gucci pairs, which is why I think they changed the standard pairs a bit today

Wore Country's, white with green stripes in the late 70's. Have over 25 different pair now. They fit and I always feel sure footed. Quality for dollar. I've had some handballs for a good while, and more recently picked up the shadow green gazelle indoors and quite literally googled wtf the difference was between these and the Samba like 2 weeks ago, great timing! from what I've worn, the Handballs are a go to in B/W super comfy and they don't show how beat up they are. Though I love my Kith x Clarks Samba, I can't really use it to judge Sambas since I've never had a normal pair (picked up a WB Samba to try with the funny tongue, hated it and sold em shortly after)
I would recommend the adidas samba Decon, I think it will address the problems that you have with the regular samba. It’s a very soft leather and the deconstructed heel doesn’t create a hot spot on the heel (at least for me)
I got some spezials collecting dust in my garage from 15 years ago. Should cash in and retire lol. My guess is next on the Adi rotation will be Gazelle “vintage” with the folding heal flap.

i understand that the spezials have a wider toe box or that the samba have a narrower tow box. so i got the spezials as anyway the hems of my pants will cover the name. was at a convention where i had to stand all day, i liked the higher arch support on the spezials. but comfort-wise, i prefer the nike cortez for casual wear and walking. i alwasy thought the Nike Women's Cortez "Orewood Brown and Earth" was Nike's counter launch to the gazelles

The classic Handball's were always available in blue/white and in white/black. I always thought it was to separate them from the Samba's. The black HB aren't around that long (20 years?). The Samba's actually are an indoor/hard court football shoe :)

spezials are my personal favorite - they actually run TTS and i love the rounded laces + structure of the shoe. agreed that the gazelles are the best in fun, colorful colorways but they run a half size big and not a fan of the looong laces

I have 5 pairs of Gazelles, 3 pairs of Handball Spezials and a pair of Samba Supers (the REAL Sambas, IMHO). The Gazelles are my go-to trainers, super comfortable even if I wear them all day. I think the Samba Supers look the best, and the Handball Spezials look almost as cool especially the ones with the fold-over tongue. I've been wearing classic Adidas trainers since I was a kid in the 70s, and have always had at least one pair in the wardrobe. Of course, now I'm 55 and mortgage free, I have 16 pairs and a dedicated Adidas section in my closet 😁😁
Are really Gazelles a good option to training and like jogging? I'd like to have a pair for training and leave apart the new models of sneakers for funning

i was looking at the college and office interns at the cbd and mrt's in Singapore, the sambas og are still so prevalent, it's mid oct 2024. asked my husband about it and he recommended the spezials, same over all look but a bit higher arch support and a bit wider toe box
I guess you would only know this if you play soccer, but the sambas are one of the most common soccer shoes indoor especially. Growing up every Hispanic kid had a pair for that reason, kind of weird to see them trending now, awesome tho there a great silhouette

For me, Spezial are just that little bit wider across the toes and it makes a world of difference. Candy coloured Gazelles are the prettiest tho

I used to wear busenitz but due to the uncomfortable sole, i dislike handball due to that both use the same sole

the funny tongue is the futsal version of samba it is not meant for casual wear
For the tongue, t-toe and gum sole design I prefer Gazelle Indoor. But the outsole samba is a legendary.

Definitely Gazelles. They are great fit and great colourways. Have Sambas in white but always go back to the Gazelles b/c of the fit.

I have 5 pairs of Gazelles, 3 pairs of Handball Spezials and a pair of Samba Supers (the REAL Sambas, IMHO). The Gazelles are my go-to trainers, super comfortable even if I wear them all day. I think the Samba Supers look the best, and the Handball Spezials look almost as cool especially the ones with the fold-over tongue. I've been wearing classic Adidas trainers since I was a kid in the 70s, and have always had at least one pair in the wardrobe. Of course, now I'm 55 and mortgage free, I have 16 pairs and a dedicated Adidas section in my closet 😁😁
Are really Gazelles a good option to training and like jogging? I'd like to have a pair for training and leave apart the new models of sneakers for funning
@@jonychavez5404 they’re great for walking, not used them for running. I recently wore them on a trip to Singapore. I walked 30000 steps a day in stinking heat, and didn’t get a single blister

There are 6 women in my office all have Sambas... Mostly that white with black stripes colorway, in my head I'm thinking... you know there are other Adidas shoes and colors right?
i was looking at the college and office interns at the cbd and mrt's in Singapore, the sambas og are still so prevalent, it's mid oct 2024. asked my husband about it and he recommended the spezials, same over all look but a bit higher arch support and a bit wider toe box
I guess you would only know this if you play soccer, but the sambas are one of the most common soccer shoes indoor especially. Growing up every Hispanic kid had a pair for that reason, kind of weird to see them trending now, awesome tho there a great silhouette
