To the guy that said change the orifice tube. It doesn't have an orifice tube if it has an expansion valve as this does. The valve Bruce called an h block is the expansion valve. If you rev it up and the low side pulls a vacuum the expansion valve is plugged.
Across the expansion valve the pressure drops causing the fluid (liquid) to evaporate in the evaporator. When that happens the latent heat of vaporization (energy required to go from liquid to gas) absorbs a lot of heat (making it cold). AC, heat pumps, and the like really only move heat (pump it) to where you want/dont want it. Very efficient.
Get a garden sprayer and mix up some soapy water. Spray down ALL the air lines, brake pods, valves, and any other air-related components. The bubbles spot the leaks. Lots quicker than a hand sprayer! This also works on A/C lines as long as the lines are not too hot. Watch for A/C leaks where the rubber hose is crimped onto the steel or aluminum hard line. If you fill the system and let things cool off for a few hours, spray the soapy water on the A/C lines and connections. Really soak the compressor, making sure to emphasize the fittings, the high pressure pop off, and the compressor input seal. Also keep in mind that you cannot compress a liquid, and when you are adding 'freon' with the can upside down, the liquid you see in the sight gauge on your service gauges is going right into the low pressure side of the compressor, ready to be compressed by the pistons in the compressor. If enough liquid enters the compressor's cylinders, it will hydrolock and often destroy the compressor. Either be very cautious and just trickle the liquid in, or hold the can upright and feed the compressor gaseous 'freon'. In a hurry, immerse the upright can in hot water, or hold the can in the air stream of the hot air leaving the radiator fan.

keep on truckin Man I dunno what your talking about, I was talking about his air conditioner problem lol. I know in south Louisiana where I live air condition is a must
TXV-Thermostatic expansion valve. It is a valve that senses the temperature of the refrigerant going into the evaporator. If the temp is too high it opens admitting more refrigerant and if the temp is too low it closes and reduces the amount refrigerant going to the evaporator. Most automotive systems use an orifice tube to accomplish the same function. Its primary function is ensure all of the refrigerant going into the evaporator is converted to vapor before reaching the compressor, liquid refrigerant reaching the compressor will destroy it.
Your high side pressure will get up to 350 like that, but the engine fan is suppose to kick on and bring the head pressure down. Find out why the engine fan isn’t engaging. More than likely the safety valve is popping in the a/c compressor and purging out all your refrigerant
@@stevehislop yeah, you can get r12, but it costs an arm and a leg (it's mostly recycled, but their is some new old stock available) I just use r152 (air duster), works great.
Another problem that will cause high pressure on the high side would be lack of air flow over the condenser, restricted filter/drier, or "non condensable gas" (air) in the system. Good fix! I've done A/C and electrical for just over 50 years, and am glad to see someone who can actually trouble shoot a system to get it running!

Hey remember during driving test some instructors will watch to make sure you double clutch and will fail you if you don't. Others just don't care if you float or not, also on the AC if you have further issues you also have sleeper components that can clog up. Some freightliners newer than 94 have condenser for the sleeper that tends to plug up and mess up the whole thing.
You'll like that AC when doing some of the longer trips in particular. BTW the music you guys have for a lot of your stuff is very good ;-)
Lol at you being all organized using a whiteboard with lists.. good for you
You did really good amber, ive tried doing that with ramps and i could never raise them. Like bruce said you always look great on video you have that video personality about you. Keep up the good work you 2 y'all are great
Get some nice mud flaps to put behind the chains on the headache rack so you don’t have all that clanging and banging against the rack
You two are awesome together! 👊😬👍
She needs a confidence booster, shes beautiful as she is! She has no reason to be shy of the camera
Just want to know why your license plate is in the back? I have owned my own truck now for 22 years and they have been on the front of the truck. Just looking out for you. Keep up the good work.
It’s normal for no air. When I was going for my CDL all the yard trucks had no air. So we as students had to build up air pressure in the system. I hope that this helps you.
Yall are awesome. Looks like you have fun everyday man love it!
If you get the chance, go over to Hamiltonville Farms UA-cam channel. They did a will it start video on an 84 International cabover that looks really good. It's already sanded down for paint. The inside looks good, too. It's a 13 speed. They said that the guy that owns it is selling it. You might want to take a look at it.
I don't know what stereotypes she is trying to hold her self ti but she is a damn good looking woman, good job you lucky SOB!!

I remember being a O/O and going weeks without A/C because the other bills came first. And those ratchet binders will spin the hook out the bottom left like that for any amount of time. 🤔
