New Mexico is a great drive on Route 66! The '55 is the only car on the road making it a truck free drive and seeing the deserted stations & buildings and classic signs along the way!! Looking for the next video & story!
Thanks so much for coming along for the ride with me again @papatangoable !!
Whiting Bros and Bowlins Running Indian......brings back a lot of memories

That's so cool that you brought up Blake's Lottoburger that was always my uncle's favorite place anytime we came into New Mexico i wish we had em in Arizona

You're welcome @patrickczaplewski1021
Thank YOU for the kind words!!
I'm glad you're enjoying my Route 66 road-trip videos.
I was stationed in Tucson for almost 4 years ('05-'09) when I had my Trans Am and I never made it out to see any of the mother roads history. I kick myself a lot for that.
Have you been to the Pima boneyard outside of Tucson @2000TA ?
@@jeffthisted yes. I sent you a message on FB.
Awesome!! Thanks @2000ta !!
Locals call it Tha-roo, though it's spelled Thoreau. Near where you scraped the bottom of your car used to have indoor bull riding and dancing ladies. And that Avalon's restaurant used to be down the road in a cool vintage location that was torn down. The Denny's turned into Kristy's coffee shop. THE best wet fries ever.
Very cool!! Thanks for the history @echee-kg3rv !!
Love the video
Thanks so much @davidjustice5805 !! You just made my day!!
Mega❤
Thanks so much @franziskahartinger4605 !!
enjoy your video, brings back memories of my trip on old 66 in the early 70's, makes me want to do it again before I get too old to travel. what color is your 55? my friend is doing a 55 sedan for me and I want to do it in Navajo Tan that looks alot like your color. its hard to tell from paint chips on paint sites they very too much.
Thank you so much @larrybenson8133 !! The paint is called Autumn Bronze Metallic. If you like what you saw would you do me a favor? Gimme a like & subscribe to my UA-cam channel if you haven't already. I'd appreciate it.
So many cool motels! Thanks Jeff
All those old motels are pretty cool right @johnserou6466 ?!?
Thanks for coming along for the ride with me!!
Good one Jeff. Those yellow headlights add a lot to the car in my opinion. Kinda bland with the stock lights. I had a 64 Olds with a 4-light set up and I had the high-beams tinted green.
Thanks so much @michaelaus7091 !! I really appreciate it. I dig the yellow headlights too. They’re Holley RetroBrights. Thanks again for coming along for the ride with me!!
Thanks man. Loved all the old buildings. New Mexico has some unique architecture. I was wondering how long did it take you to drive Route 66?
Thank YOU @jmark7390 !! New Mexico is pretty cool right?!? The further west we go the more abandoned it seems to get right? We took about 3-4 weeks to road-trip all of old Route 66. It was amazing. Thanks for coming along for the ride with me!!
@@jeffthisted Thanks..
No - Thank YOU@@jmark7390 for coming along for the ride with me!!
Summa of 2022 I got off the interstate on the Continental Divide and came across a guy from Brazil 🇧🇷 his motorcycle 🏍️ with the Brazilian license plate he told me that he had been on the road for 18 days from South America and heading to Alaska
That’s one hell of a motorcycle ride right @michaelgorman4229 ?!? And I thought I get around in my 55 Chevy. Thanks for coming along for the ride with me!!
Budville was also known as Bloodville because of the murders that happened there...
It’s pretty crazy right @alvinlee345 ?!? Have you been there?
