*Works well for a DIY home improvement job **MyBest.Tools** A little sloppy in the cut. Water reservoir is too small. Cut one 20" tile - time to refill.*
This is perfect for backsplashes!!! I saw it at Lowes maybe 2 weeks ago but was a bit skeptical. You've helped me to go back tomorrow and make an informed decision to purchase! Thanks!
I'm happy this video helped, it's a great saw!
and the most important question never mentioned... does it cut straight?
Great demo.
Thank you!
Very nice review sir
Good to see you haven't lost any fingers yet!!!
Take your time like a gentleman and don't rush like a dummy! ..and thank god tile saws don't cut off fingers...
Their 20v tools are amazing! They need to make a table saw now!!!
Lol Yes, that would be awesome!
*I LIKE IT !*
What's the cost ? Can you run it off a cord too or is it ONLY battery ?
That Lowe's bucket, shame on you...
+StarrTile the cost runs around $250 and there's no cord option, only battery. That would have been a good idea though!
Can this thing cut ledger stone veneer? The type used on fireplaces.
These are great! Thanks for that. Do you think the corded version could cut 20mm stone tiles?
Yes, it can cut large format
landberg Tile TV appreciate the reply! Thank you 🙏🏾
What type of filter do u use for the black and white ?
Awesome review but I’ll prefer the corded one. What blade do I need to buy ?
We own the corded and I have a video on that as well. Pearl P4 is what we love for the blade choice.
Saw this saw yesterday and it looks like a handier size than the dinky one I have and the bridge saw I have as well. I have a marble mosaic job to do - I see you cut through that glass and metal WHILE IN THE PACKAGE! Can I do that with mosaics rather than cutting individual little tiny pieces?
Yes, this saw is definitely bigger and better built than all tabletop saws on the market right now and sure, you can cut your mosaic still in the sheet. The cardboard helps to keep the mosaic stone/glass in place. Thanks for watching!
I'm heavily into the Dewalt batteries. If Stanley B&D who owns both of those brands would let their batteries cross brands I would buy this tomorrow as a bare tool.
Yes! I agree. I'm also heavily invested in all Dewalt tools and batteries and I'm waiting for the Dewalt Flexvolt tabletop saw. Where are you Dewalt!? ....coming soon I hope.
Bought it yesterday and a spare 1.5 amp hour battery. Quality is there but it went through marble pretty slow and end of cut chipped, but that may be par for the course with marble mosaic. The charger is NOT a fast charger which may be a problem. I'm gonna take my little Plasplugs corded saw along too for a job Monday just in case I run out of juice.
So you got 21 linear feet of cutting with your porcelain, and I got a little less with marble on my job. I played battery roulette the last half of my job but it got done with no real downtime. If you are doing a job where the bulk of your cuts can be done with a snap cutter and this for the notch cuts battery life would not have been an issue. That said, I really liked using this saw but still wish it still came available with a cord....
What's the difference between this model and the PCE980 MODEL? And which is better in your opinion?
We have the PCE980 model. The battery doesn't last with cuts on this model.
Awesome review but I wish to didn’t speed up the video cutting the larger tiles I would have liked to see real time how long it took to cut pieces that’s a huge factor that when sped up you can’t judge !
The battery did not hold up well period...so we purchased the corded version 👊
Cool!
+Johnathon Wheeler yes! Definitely cool!
Looks just like the Craftsman CMCS4000 wet saw which did not cut straight and I had to do a return on figuring at about $300 these saws would have better quality control.
Both Porter Cable and Craftsman are owned by Black and Decker. This saw is the exact design of the Craftsman CMCS4000. I'm not sure why they made this design decision "scratching my head"
Too bad its battery powered. I like that it has the sliding tray. Awesome video btw!
It's a great saw! I'm surprised they didn't make an electric model. The tray makes this tabletop saw stand out from the rest! and thanks for the kind words!
They have a corded model too
PCE980 is the same tool but corded
I wonder if you can use one of those battery adapter for all your Dewalt batteries and use it in this saw ?
That would be a good idea, Porter Cable wouldn't like it though.
@@LandbergTileTV just don’t tell them. I think I might go that route instead of buying the IQ cyclone saw.
Did you recharge before the final test?
Is this a sponsored review?
+MoneyManHolmes yes, I put it back on the charger for the porcelain cuts. Also, that porcelain was extremely hard! No, not a sponsored video. I thought this saw was cool and wanted to test out the first battery operated tile saw ever made!
What about 45dgree cut ?
no miter cuts with this saw
Can you cut glass tiles with it???
yes you can!
Are you using it on job site? Is it worth? Can I use to to backsplash against set up my Dewalt?
Yes, it is definitely worth the price. You get a great quality tabletop saw with a sliding tray and it's cordless The only negative is that it runs loud. This can definitely replace your Dewalt d2400 for a backsplash job.
I ordered the corded model!
Sweet! It is such a great saw!
Hi, I used today. I liked but I think that the blade isn’t good: every time at the end chip the tile. Do you have same issue?
Not that I remember. Maybe try a new blade. 👍
@8:48 gonna lose that thumb. You better keep your eye on that work piece. !
How much?Where could to buy it
I have a direct link in the description for the saw.
Lowes $249 or online. Model is PCC780LA.
I like the saw, i wish i knew this saw first so I didn’t buy the ridgid tile saw
The corded version is much better! 👊
How much ? Thx
$200 👊👊👊
That battery system looks a lot like black and decker. I wonder if the same chinese company owns the brands now.
+apex yeah man, Black and Decker owns Dewalt, Stanley, Porter Cable and many more.
craftsman took over this saw now... another stanley black and decker company. basically a clone.
4 a.....h.....? LOL 4 Amp? Its 4 Amp Hour.
Do not waste your money on this saw. It will not cut through back splash and a full charged battery only last an hour... Wireless is not always better. I'm returning this garbage tonight.
I agree on the battery life, was definitely disappointed with that, but it cuts through backsplash when we use it. Of course we upgraded the blade as the blade that comes with it is weak and cheap.
Landberg Tile DIY TV as I did as well. Maybe I got bad batteries?
Any who... I'm going to spend a little extra and go with the kobalt..
This thing is a piece of crap, just got it and 3 straight tiles had massive chips, changed the blade, same thing. Sending it back.
Yes, I would send it back. Something must be wrong with the arbor...
Dont buy this weak pile of crap , dont know how they got away selling this thing . Chips glass an cant cut straight. Didnt like it from the firsy cut . Boooo
Lol
