The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. I'm sorry for my bad English!

I've seen videos where he's just hanging around the house (his parents' house) and he picks up a little child who is tired, and he takes her and sits in the rocking chair, and sings something of Vivaldi's , and he has NO artificial device, just purely his voice, and he belts it out just like he does on the stage. It's too loud for the little girl to go to sleep, but she's just ecstatic that he's holding her, and not putting her down, so she stays real still, cuddles against him and makes sure she doesn't distract him from his singing, so he'll keep on holding her. And she looks so proud and happy! But as I mentioned, he does not need artificial devices, to sing that way.

    😁😁😁
It is interesting to watch the teachers' reactions on vocals: - "Well, hooo... ...everything is clear... ...here's a falsetto, here's a bass, here's a baritone, here he made a vibrato, and then fading with a prebreath, here's a head voice, here chest, and here is a mix - so everything is clear to us ... ... the only thing is not clear - how the hell does he do all this ... "
... It is very similar to the joke about the "Field of Miracles" - "I guessed all the letters, but I could not name the word ...")))😁😁😁

    • @modelladel
      @modelladel 4 роки тому +2

@@dark-chocolate1908 when he signed for the contest they didn't tell him he would compete with children. Every artist was taped separately. He didn't even know or see the girl from his country who he knows well. So, when he got to the point where he was introduced to the children he wold compete with (one of them was the girl I mentioned above) , he refused to continue. Said he doesn't want to compete against children, and it's not fair to them. He was in many competitions and knew how much anxiety it caused. As a fact, he was a favourite . If you check, every time there was a vote with him in it, he won public favourite , when all world was voting. For me it's obvious he would win. 2 things to mention: 1. prior to this show, several producers from the USA attended his solo concert. There were rumours that the idea to do the show came up after that just to showcase him, and use him to get the ratings. 2. He actually sponsored the girl from his country to take part in children Eurovision competition. The same girl I mentioned above. So, of course he wouldn't compete against her. By the way, there were some people saying (including R.Paul) that Dimash signed up for it. DImash replied (actually at the competition on the stage), even though most of his speech was cut out, but we had Dears in the studio, that he didn't sign up for those conditions... It was not mentioned in the contract.

He is a very humble and simple boy, but at the same time he is a perfectionist and if at this moment he leaves us stunned with his talent, imagine after time the level that he will reach. I also suggest the video soundtrack of the movie Creators: The Past, Across Endless Dimensions, your imagination will fly and with a superb ending.

I think he is kind of unique, and you were right in pointing out, that he is a mix of multiple styles and that makes it difficult to categorize him in terms of modern music. He is litterally capable to do reinterprete every song that has been made in a unique way, but what I really appreciate is his ability to make you feel his emotions cristal clear - I do not need the lyrics to understand what he is singing. Linor Oren, many people have started listening to Dimash at different times over the past few years. I started 1 1/2 years ago when he was competing on the Chinese show 'I am Singer'. He was 22 years old at the time and turned 23 later that year. The biggest changes in his voice has been the continue quality and deepening sound of his chest voice. The last 3 or 4 songs that he has put out, shows a very improving quality of that chest voice...you kind of notice it with just the couple of songs that you have heard. He is just amazing and his range continues to expand...how much more...I guess, Dimash will continue to surprise us all. Try reacting to 'Hello', by Lionel Richie! Dimash completely makes Hello his own with amazing riffs and runs...Also, he is from Kazakhstan and he is influence by the Kazakh folk style with have roots in Russian and Arabic influences. He seems to play with all of it.

His transitions of the different voices are incredible which evenly dissipate into the arrangement of the song bringing a 'unique stylised # ‘FUSION' of sound to music genres a kind of POP OPERA; ROCK OPERA; Neo-Classical infused with SOUL.music, in performance, is a type of sculpture. The air in the performance is sculpted into something. and In a live performance, it's a collaboration with the audience; you ride the ebb and flow of the crowd's energy.

Agreed. Even when Dimash sings someone else's arrangement, it is Dimash selecting phrase by phrase or word by word the particular color of his voice to use. He is able to bring all these elements together in a way that they create a unified performance.

And it was such a nice feeling at 6:11, when she (Noam) could easily identify that "singing method" which is typical to Azerbaijani singers where Dimash went back and force between registers (chest and mix-head) so to create that "vibrato sound".

If you would like to hear something completely different from Dimash try his performance of "Late Autumn" from the show "I am singer" 2017. It's the first song he sung in Mandarin to a Chinese audience. (a language he does not speak btw) While you're at it check out a recent performance in Russia where he sang "The Love of Tired Swans" in which he explores a bit more of his lower range.

This is the festival "New Wave" in Sochi (Russia). There was a competition of young performers and concerts of Russian artists. Dimash acted as a guest at the jubilee concert of the Kazakh group "A-studio".
Baigali Serkebaev - the author of the song - plays the piano here.
It was a phenomenal performance! Superb low notes at the beginning, unreal high notes at the end. And again the oriental tones in the song!
Melismа in the finale together with the last "Let" - 23 seconds!
Dimash used kazakh singing technique. You can hear it from the Turan group. Saha people ( Russia) uses this technique too.

Don't like watching channels where they talk over Dimash when he is singing, don't mind if they stop the song to speak. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ What a great reaction! Well, you were almost spot on! Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and one of his recent interests is to insert cultural elements into his songs. The “throat singing” is apparently something from the entire area of Kazakhstan/ Mongolia. So Azerbaijan is not too far off. As to the trick question of the century, shall we bet that this style will become known as Dimash Style? The term “popera” was mentioned last year, but Dimash has long passed that stage. As to his age, he was born on May 24, 1994, which makes him 24. He was 22 when he sang SOS on Singer 2017 on January 21 last year, and catapulted overnight to international fame.

You two young ladies are adorable. If you look over to the right on your computer screen, you will see a long thumbnail list of "Voice Teacher or Vocal Coach Reacts to Dimash..." and if you were to click on any or all of them, you would see reactions similar to your own (and mine) upon hearing this young man sing. I sang for a living for almost 30 years but after listening to Dimash, I have come to the realization that my definition of "singing" has to be altered drastically. Until 3 days ago, my experience with truly great vocalists was limited to people like Mariah Carey with that whistle register she has conquered, Pavarotti, the King Of The High C's, Adam Lambert, a contestant on the show "American Idol" who did not win but went on to become the lead singer for the band Queen after its lead singer, Freddy Mercury passed away, and many more. We used to watch that show (Idol) just to hear him sing and we were always amazed at his range. That was then. This...is now. And this is quite unlike anything I have ever heard in my life. For that, I am grateful that I was able to hear all these songs by him because voices like this are, well, how many people are on this planet? 7 billion, right? So his voice is likely to be one-in-a-billion. And watching you pause and comment is so much fun because, like everyone else that hears him for the first time, he leaves you "speechless". You start questioning your own ears or at least I did. I was actually watching him very closely to see if he was using some sort of 'trickery' to reach those high notes but after doing all my research, I'm just left baffled but astonished. In a good way. He is remarkable and I still can't get over the fact that he has been around since 2017 and I have never heard anything about him until right now, end of January, 2020. But keep up the good work that you do and I wish you both much success.
