  • what's up guys in this video I am replacing the blower motor on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 2.7 customer came in and said no air came out the vents when he turned on on high so when I pulled in the vehicle I turned it on I heard it was doing something so I didn't believe it was the resistor so I decided to check the blower motor pulled out the blower motor I supply 12 volts to the motor it did not spin we had a bad motor test of the new one we got a good spin replace the blower motor turned on AC and we got air coming out the vents now customer was happy got to drive home feeling fresh
tools only needed is Phillips screwdriver and some alligator wires to test the blower motor

I love the clarity and the lighting of the video. It did not seem like you took any shortcuts. Learned a lot.

I have a 2009. Mine will stop working but then sometimes start working again if I hit a hard bump. This has happened a lot so I'm thinking it might be a loose or corroded connection. But it will also just come on without a bump sometimes. It will shut down if I leave the fan speed on low, never shuts down on high. Also shuts down sometimes after turning car off and restarting.
It also sometimes makes some loud knocking noises but not always. This makes me think something in the motor itself is going bad, like a bearing or armature perhaps? I don't know much about motors so I'm just kind of guessing.
I was hoping it would just be the corroded fan switch like some people have, as I'm not sure I can test and replace this motor by myself, likely not. So I'm probably going to have to spend money I don't really have, but since I'm sleeping in my car these days and it's getting below freezing, I may not have a choice.

The exact same thing was happening to my 2008 Sonata. I thought it was a loose connection because it would blow when I would hit bump sometimes. Eventually after a few months of on and off it stopped working all together. I ordered the part for $39 after taxes on Amazon. This video fixed the problem. It was indeeded the blower motor. I have working AC again 😅

If I check the blower motor outlet and have ground and power does that mean it can't be the temp. control switch? I replaced the switch a few months ago and I'm just trying to rule out that being it. Thanks in advance

Doing the DIY and I'm no mechanic.
But will a 9v have enough to turn the fan if it's good ? If not I'll grab some alligators

Yes, a 9 volt battery should work . Sometimes, I use a 9 volt battery to test a vent valve or purge solenoid and to test fuel injectors .

Had this on my kona. You just need to push the wedges harder and pull more. Just be careful of the harness
