Thank you so much for your video; it was truly helpful! I don't know if you're aware of the temperature in Quebec, but I was left surprised in the morning before heading to work when my fan wasn't working. I unplugged it and jiggled the motor cables, and it started working again. Thanks, and please keep making these helpful videos!
Just got the blower working again in my daughters 2006 accent thanks to this video. It was the main fuse and I have spares from another 2006 I stripped before junking. She saved a bunch from going to the Garage!
Well done video. Simple and clearly explained video. I was able to resolve this by swapping the 2 relays. Thank you for taking the time to make the 3 videos related to ac troubleshooting.
Hi. your video is great and very informative. The blower motor on my Hyundai will only work on #4 high setting but none of the lower settings. Does the switch on the dash need to be replaced? Thanks for your help.
Thank you! I never would have thought to whack the bottom of the blower motor, but it instantly started again on my friend’s 2008 Accent. The cabin air filter was horribly clogged with a lot of debris and I wonder if something got stuck in the blower motor fins preventing it from spinning.
Awesome! I do have a question as I've got a relative who has suddenly got no fan spin on any of the numbered settings on the selection wheel. For the relay under the hood, I've tested it with a continuity tester on each pin and it DOES beep. As this is a relay, I'm not sure if continuity between the two pins mean it's good (as it would with a fuse) or if there is another way to test it? I'm a bit reluctant to swap those 2 relays as if something has cause the blower relay to blow, I don't want to put the only good working relay in there and potentially have it blow as well, because then we'd be really dead in the water. So is using a continuity test across the two relay pins a way to test it???
Is info esp fuses same for 2008 Hyundai Accent? I’ve had blower motor replaced 4 times and had the wires reattached 4 times generally without connector. Wires burn melt connection point under glovebox. Have replaced filter too. Appreciate helpful replies.
***GREAT VIDEO***Just wanted to thank you for this video!! Great short, direct and informative! All videos should be like this! I will be checking to see if you have a video each time I run into a problem! Thanks again
Looks like it stopped working again and blew the 40 amp fuse under the hood, any thoughts on where to look for the problem? Possible short? I assume that this would not be an issue with the relay or the motor but could it be the resistor? Thanks for any help!
Thanks so much man! My fan started working again after pounding on the bottom of the blower motor. Saved me a bunch of time and money. Much appreciated 🙏 Subscribed!
Excellent video. No chatty nonsense. Simple explanation using a proper diagnostic procedure. As suggested, I found the relay to be bad after swapping with engine starting relay. Many thanks.
After trying all of these , I found out my problem was the clip on the blower motor power cable wasn't engaged so the connection wasn't there. I got it working again but is there something I might be able to do to prevent a possible slip out again ? I was thinking of just making a barrier out of cardboard or political sign material to stop the passenger's feet from knocking it loose.
My fan only works on 4 but also work on every other setting if i press and hold the dial. Maybe a bad contact on the dial? How do i acces that? Just hope i dont have to take too much appart
Merci beaucoup I just have this problem with my accent 2008. I didn't know what to do but now I now and I will check on it. Thank's a lot. marie Louise
Hey bud I’m having trouble getting my power windows to work and blower motor to work. The alternator went out and so did the battery I’ve replaced them both and still having problems! What do you suggest I do next?
Well, shuck my corn! For me it was a loose power connection on the blower motor. A quick wiggle and it was back in black and rockin' in the free world! You most likely saved me hundred of dollars from the pedos at the dealership!!!!
I got to give you props sir. I wish everybody would explain how to videos as fast and detailed as you do, you are number one! Keep doing what you do .
This is the best video I have found on the blower motor for a third gen Hyundai Accent! Thank you for the detailed information on the part locations.
Just wiggled the connector to the blower (after following all the previous steps), and it worked!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Excellent, clearly explained video with rationale and trouble shooting for each part.

best youtube mechanic video ever
Yup.. just I tap and bam... thank you! Canadian February is bad enough 😂😂
Thank you so much! Such clear explanations, easy to follow, and now my blower is working again! God bless you!
Great video!!!! Blower was not working, pounded on the bottom, it now works. Thanks very much!!!
This video probably saved me a few hundred dollars. Just a tap on the bottom of the blower instead of a 'diagnostic' bill from the garage. Thanks!
I tapped on the blower motor like you said and started working. Thanks! Its winter in Minnesota...
This is a really nice explanation and troubleshooting guide.
Thanks mate I gave the blower motor a good snack and everything came right back on. Great video 🤠

Sometimes debris in the blower motor will unbalance it and cause the brushes in the motor to lose contact.

So if I knock on bottom and it works again would I need a new blower to completely fix?
Looks like it stopped working again and blew the 40 amp fuse under the hood, any thoughts on where to look for the problem? Possible short? I assume that this would not be an issue with the relay or the motor but could it be the resistor? Thanks for any help!

Any reasons why you didn't cover testing the resistor?
