Thanks for the test. I have been fletching my arrows with the TAC Driver 2.75s and they’re great but about a week later, I noticed that they started curling which was a disappointment. I will definitely check out the Q2I.

Appreciate the kind words. Check out my video on how I fletch TAC vanes. If you’re having issues I think it’ll really help. Make sure to use TAC glue and primer.

Q2i are one of my favorite vanes! They glue great and there tough. For a hunting arrow I think there the best

Q2i vanes are the bomb. That’s all I use

AAE max will shape back if you give them a bit. My favorite vane is definitely the AAE max stealth. The Tac vanes when they warp are warped for good.

Have you tried using a hair dryer to heat them up? I’ve had some that were bad and they shape back with a hair dryer

What about Flex Fletch vanes. Been a top vane long before these others came along.
Ole T-Bone Turner uses nothing but Tac vanes and Flex Fletch. I was shooting them before him and he is a top ranked national or world champion in 3D.

I need to try some of those.

Why is it nobody ever tests Flex Fletch vanes? They are far superior than any vane I have ever used. Seems not a single reviewer tests them against what they have. I’ve been shooting them for almost 40 years.

They are not superior by any means. They are good, just as many others are. These days I am using tac and AAE mostly. I use tac on my 3d arrows that I want to hold their speed and trajectory. I used the large tac drivers this year for my 27 diameter indoor arrows and the performed very well. They are super stiff and light. I use AAE max on my indoor 23 diameter arrows and the 2.0's on outdoor 50m arrows and they fly very well. I have used flex fletch 360s on my 25s in past years and they did fine. They looked like crap out of the package, like they were half melted, but whatever. Q2i's are nice and stiff and seem well made. They are a bit heavy like AAE but I wouldn't hesitate to use them. Bohning also has some good quality stuff, I like their X vanes and heat vanes. Their X3 vanes look like they could be a lighter version of Q2i. Also have used a lot of vanetecs and they are okay. Light but soft. Their white vanes fade pretty fast though, into a dirty white.
As you can see, the vane thing is overrated to some degree. They all work. Its a matter of how much control you want on the arrow. Stiff vanes help hold speed and trajectory and are often quieter, and the softer vanes will induce more drag meaning more control, but the arrow may suffer a bit at long distances. Its more about the characteristics you want and less about the company.
