my baby has been ahead in all milestones, especially verbal, grapsing with thumb and pointy finger, mimicing things like sipping from a normal cup etc... but crawling she just doesnt do XD She will slide herself backwards but thats it. She can sit by herself from 5 months but I have to put her in that position. She seems content on her back with toys. and rolls over or around to grab some new ones or find another.
This is what happening with my baby too... He is 7 months and still not very interested in rolling over. He slides, and if i just push he roll over. But he doesn't know how to come back. What to do..? But if he easily sits by holding any support by himself..
I wish I had done more tummy time. She hated it and would cry when she was younger. Then at 3mnths I got her a fun activity mat and she didn't hate it as much.
One has to wonder how all the grandmothers, great grandmothers and great great grandmothers managed to raise their children. Good lord. If your baby goes from sitting to walking it's not the end of the world.

For some kids, crawling is essential and even critical for their early development. It could mean the difference between them holding a pencil later in school, having the right upper body strength to pull themself up from the floor, or getting that lateral movement the brain needs to eventually read, write, and comprehend. Even outside of education, there is a wealth of benefits your child can reap if they learn to crawl. It's worth generating awareness especially in a time where their development is often slowed down by a lack of opportunity to practice their skills, constantly being put into car seats, bouncy chairs, swings and walkers.
My baby is now 8months old and I think he will skip crawling too, he likes "walking". Can I ask you -or anyone who knows- why is it bad for babies to skip crawling? Why should we push our babies to do so? I've come across lots of opinions but I'd like to tell me yours. Also, how are your babies doing at age 1 year old? Are they walking? Did they ever crawl? I talked to my baby's doctor about how she hates tummy time and all she wants to do is stand and try walking....I was a bit concerned becuase I thought it was a MUST for them to crawl...but he said its completely normal!!!! :) No worries!
I wish I made my baby do tummy time he’s a year old n dsnt crawl sits up straight but can’t reach out to get the toy plz help with suggestions or videos ,doc says he has to crawl n pick up food to eat 😔😔😝

I skipped crawling and crawled very weirdly my hands down and my but up and a Upside down V shape crawl that’s how I crawled my dad said
