By the way, the option does absolutely nothing if you are using AirPods/Pro/Max etc. over Bluetooth. At a minimum, you need wired headphones to hear the difference in music quality. The High Quality option is actually the higest quality you can send over AAC Bluetooth, which all Apple wireless audio devices use. So yea for 99% of iPhone users this is the highest quality.

If I might make a suggestion: When you ask people to navigate from wherever they are to a particular setting/page, could you please speak a bit slowly? It is sometimes hard to keep up with the pace. This is particularly important when you not only have to go backwards and forwards but also scroll up and down to locate an item. Of course, I could rewind - as I did several times - but that is a tad inconvenient. Hence, a slight reduction in speed of delivery especially when asking listeners to go from one screen to another would go a long way in assisting people on the other side of the "pond". You can change the playback speed on UA-cam videos. Some of my fave YTers are millennial speed-talkers that give me anxiety, so I turn them down to .75. You can even slow down music if you are trying to learn to play a song, and the key doesn't change.

Hello - I HOPE you reply to this question. Regarding #7: Except for 2 or 3 I do NOT have any of the preferences talked about in this section. I say "talked about" because there are preferences I don't have either that you did not comment on that I noticed just by looking at the enlarged phone/screen on screen. I have a 12 Pro Max running (obviously) OS 15. What is the reason for this? This is just an example. There are other instances in your "turn on/turn off" videos where I missing various preferences. Great info! #6, 7 and 10 did not appear as shown on screen. I’m setting up a new iPhone 13 so that may be why. For Allow Passwords to AutoFill, I always have off and enter passwords manually as I go. Maybe a pain for some but works for me.

Not sure I agree with having lossless on with a phone doing mobile listening using normal earbuds or headphones. No one will hear any difference if it’s turned off. Having it turned off gets rid of any buffering at the beginning of listening. It also seems to make listening less buggy.
@@chelleisblessed Try turning off the Apple Music app from operating in the background, then going into the phone music settings and turn off sync library, then go back to the Apple Music app and open it. The app should supposedly ask you to sync library. After that just wait 5 minutes. Or restart your phone force quitting the music app.
There is no reason to turn it on when you are using bluetooth headphones because apple uses the AAC codec to transfer the music over bluetooth which is limited to a bitrate of 256 kbits whilst lossless music is played at a bitrate of 1411kbits. So the music will be compressed anyway for being able to send it over bluetooth.

Great video and good info. The only thing you got wrong was livr photos. They don’t take up any addictional storage. I recommend people to leave it on because one day looking back when your kids are all grown up you’ll like that you can get small snippets of who they were.
Live Photos give you more data (different images) to choose between. Essentially they are a very short video clip. More information means more data storage used (just as certainly as night follows day). A ‘live photo’ logically has more data and hence more storage than a still but less than a video clip.

Hi I’ve noticed that some of the settings that you guys talk about on this video are not on my iPhone 12. I downloaded iOS 15 today so that is upgraded. Specifically under music the audio quality isn’t even there when I look at my settings. Under audio it goes from cellular streaming to a Eq to sound check. There are a A couple other things I’ve noticed that are different in my phone then yours. Do you guys have any idea why that would be? I have an iPhone 12 just regular and like I said I updated my phone today to iOS 15.

For all those that do not see the option for lossless audio. It's due to, needing a subscription for Apple music to show up. Hope this helps!

I just got an upgrade to 14.8 (which I had to install manually) but not iOS 15 yet.
It is not yet released, it is coming in the next few days which is why I am wondering why they would make this now and not wait a little

Same! "Lossless Audio" is NOT listed under 'Audio'. Only have THREE of the four preference options: 'Cellular Streaming', 'EQ', and 'Sound Check'.

Don’t agree with Live Photos, I like the option of going back to set the key photo in case of blur due to movement. Also I need the highest quality audio always by any means necessary! Thank you for the hint. Appreciate that the most!!!
Ysyk the highest setting wont actually make a difference unless your using an external dac

Hi I’ve noticed that some of the settings that you guys talk about on this video are not on my iPhone 12. I downloaded iOS 15 today so that is upgraded. Specifically under music the audio quality isn’t even there when I look at my settings. Under audio it goes from cellular streaming to a Eq to sound check. There are a A couple other things I’ve noticed that are different in my phone then yours. Do you guys have any idea why that would be? I have an iPhone 12 just regular and like I said I updated my phone today to iOS 15.
I have the iPhone 12 pro and noticed the same thing as I was watching the video
You have to subcribe to apple music for that feature.
