Do you think it will work with Apps that are 3rd party and not Apple, importantly for things like WiFi home security camera alerts, video doorbells such as Blink, Ring etc? They might as well not be there since iOS 17!

I had software update 17.1.2 installed last week but so far no 17.2.1. So many of those features do not show (yet) on my Phone 14 Pro max. Presumably we will get that update in the next few weeks up here in the frozen north .....

Earlier today, I had to help my 80 year old mother with her 14 pro max haha. She read on Facebook “there was this update bug that allows someone to take all of your information”…. Eventually I figured out it was the name drop thing haha
I love the offline maps feature. I set the map app to use offline map always because it uses less power and my phone doesn’t get so hot. If I need traffic information I open google maps.
@@Powerstroke98 Neither Apple Maps or google maps have traffic info for offline. What he is saying is that google maps doesn't heat up his phone. I have never had Apple Maps heat up any of my iPhones. But I digress

I was just alerted by a friend about the Journaling app. If you go to settings/Privacy & Security, scroll down to Journaling Suggestions, the Discoverable By Others default setting is On which allows other to detect you are nearby to help prioritize their suggestions. I switched this setting off. I don't use the app but it seems to me to be a possible security issue.
Great observation! We covered namedrop in this video due to the recent news on namedrop and police officials telling the public to turn it off! As for crop, we like to show off little tidbits that other may not know as well! Thanks for watching! -Z
No tricks just frustrated. I used to be able to play music on my iPad or iPhone while doing other things. Now when I move to another app from say Pandora or Spotify or UA-cam, the sound cuts off. There must be a fix for this. Can you advise please.

Yeah, i get why they dont put everything on old devices. Mine is 3 generations previous. A few falls and it starts to crack. I can ser the inside of my phone, its a beast but itll be dead soon.

I have wifi issues on iphone 13 and ipad mini 6th gen. the wifi connection stops working at around 2am until 8am and i have no idea why. i didnt change any setting that could cause that. other devices (not mobile) function correctly via cable and wifi at the same time.
Is this a thing with the 15’s ? Thinking to call my Internet provider and then if no explanation will call cell provider…Wifi cuts in and out to show 5G while at home. Never noticed with iPhone 11 Pro. But then wasn’t on 5G. Have 15 Pro Max now … Wifi cutting out again happening as I’m typing this 😠 Cellular data msg pops down & so weird Not a techie person, so 🤷🏼♀️

Yes but it’s only available in iOS 17.2. Regular users should get it around mid December.
