Picked one of these up recently didn’t know what a hidden gem I had until now ❤, looking to get some sort of bass amp or speakers to add to play some small outdoor gigs
Thank you brother for your tip, got me to the place that I have trying to accomplish every since I got my 90, with the addition of my base amp, I can dial in my guitar and vocals to a whole new level of SWEEEET.
Combo for acoustic guitar has a wide range of reproduced frequencies and accordingly by connecting an electric guitar through a modern processor (full guitar path) you can get a good full sound for an electric guitar. Why does no one talk about this?
I own one of these and just wanted to point out that per the owners manual...if your acoustic guitar has a built in pre- amp, the pickup switch should be set to magnetic even if its a piezo pickup. Its kinda confusing. Wouldve been better to label the switch active/passive instead.
good review for the acoustic, but I really wanted to hear how good the vocal channel sounds. There's alot of good ac amps, but most of them don't have enough bass on the vocals. I'll keep looking for a review using a microphone
I am using this amp for last 8 years and love it. Just came to know about Sub woofer , i have a subwoofer supplied with Sony CRT TV , now TV has no use. Can I use this Sub woofer with this amp, pl advise.
Awesome fingercstyle technique. I have a little 250 Watt Sub I've been wondering what to do with it. Question, are the effects per or post send on the d.i. out?
Stupid question, but to connect the AC-90 with a subwoofer or bass amp, do you need the same kind of cable that we use to connect the guitar to the amp? In other words, a mono cable one? And the other jack has to get putted into the hole for a bass instrument? I ask because I've seen that some subwoofers have connection holes for left and right jacks. I don't know how you can connect the AC-90 to the subwoofer in these kind of cases... Thanks for your answer! 👍
Maybe I missed it, but why is the AC90 better than the AC60 (wattage aside?) --- I own a AC60 & love it, but was forced to go with the AC60 at the time, being that the 90 hadn't come out yet.... I find it great as an amp, but other than the volume boost, are there any extra features that the 90 would give over the 60 ?
Jesse Leger Honestly, no. If you are performing in larger venues and need a bit more power then the AC90 is better...but by just a fraction. I owned both.
GoGuitarLive I am busting my ass trying to find the right amp. Thanks for this review. Best one I have found. I can not decide between the 90 and the 60. I have a big PA and speaker system, but it is located in my home country. Maybe I should buy the 60 and a sub. If you say the 90 and the 60 are the same nice sound I might as well go with the 60 and mic it up with my PA if I need more power in the future. Right? My biggest concern right now is whether this amp will make my acoustic guitar sound better than my PA back home can do. Do you know if an acoustic amp makes an acoustic guitar sound better a good PA? Also, I would like to know if the AC-90 or 60 with sub sounds good for mp3 karaoke backing tracks? I play and sing solo in bars. Hope you have the time to answer my questions. Thanks
Excellent review, thanks for sharing. Trying to decide which acoustic amp to go with, either the Marshall AS100D or the Roland AC90, both same price. Too bad the Roland AC90 doesn't come in Rosewood or with the looper like the AC33.
Great review; I'm considering buying an AC-100 to compliment my Ovation Elite 1865 12-string acoustic/electric. Not many UA-cam's on the 100; similar to the 90. 100 should pack a bit more punch no? Thanks for the thorough review. Great playing and style as well. Cheers
nice demo ... looking for a bass amp after this video to go with my ac90 --- thanks for the heads up. I also run two pickups in my Larrivee to get stereo with 2 amps sometimes.
Hi sir, i have the same amp , Roland AC60... i dont have the same sound using my Martin dread Jr... hmm like your bass sound. Is the guitar directly connected to Amp?
say, i just bought one of these, not least of which because of this good review. i also really like some of the nice patterns and riffs you are playing near the end. what tuning are you using, and could you explain how you are playing these fab sounding chords? many thanks :-)
Love this demo. Do you think there's any feasible way to run a sub w/ a different setup? Maybe split the output and run one through an EQ pedal? Pretty far fetched but figured I'd ask, that's a great guitar you have too, Blueridge is the best!
This amp is not really meant to be sang thru . It's really set up to mike and and direct connect your guitar at the same time . Read the manual . It doesn't say anything about singing thru it . It doesn't mean you can't . I have .
Best review of this amp I have seen. Just got one myself and you have taught me a bunch with this vid. Looking for a subwoofer!
It's the full package with the Sub.
Thank you for sharing the great review! It was very helpful...so excited to play around with this Roland AC 90

Exactly what I do with an Acoustic bass amp. 12-string Takamine with only 10 strings and an EC-3 bass pedal sounds awesome.
Thank you for this review. Very helpful, especially, for beginners 😊

Nice licks on your guitar!
Anyone knows if the phantom power can be fixed? 😢 mine thanks to my dumbf…. bro now the mic doesn’t work, but if I use an external phantom it does.
Excellent review. I have the AC33 which I love. But I'll try using a bass subwooder with it. It'll be fun .
Great JOB!!!! Well done.
Puxa vida... esta caixa é um sonho (muito cara)

Thanks for your answer! 👍
Yes, just a patch cable for signal
How or can you the 3 prong inputs on the back do? Is there way to connect to speakers too
Thanks for a good video I am looking to pick one of these up today in like new condition. How well does it work with an electric guitar?
Very informative! Thanks; it's bookmarked.

Thanks for your job, it helps me a lot! :) thumbs up!
What kind of bass amp did you use and how did you connect it and does the AC90 then control the bass sound or do you set it on the aux amp?
nice demo ... looking for a bass amp after this video to go with my ac90 --- thanks for the heads up. I also run two pickups in my Larrivee to get stereo with 2 amps sometimes.
Terry Dean Acoustic Coffee Covers I use the powered sub from a 5:1 system. sounds tits
Hi Terry, I wanted to ask what 2 pickup combo are you running through your Larrivee? Thanks- Will
Please! Tell me how the dB in the Roland ac 90?

My AC90 sounds best w/o any external preamp-acoustimax-
in my use. Great internal effects evidently. Love this amp.
What is the blue jack? Is it bass amp you call? Hot can you connect to your guitar? I still not get it Thanks.
thanks for the help

I know what you're saying, but I dont own this amp yet. But I think you can get a AB switch and do that man.
There's orbs in the first seconds, spooky lol
I noticed that too. Real footage of the spirits.
Real deal
Full demo? Where is the sound of the vocal?
Guitar based channel and I'm not a singer. Sorry for a misleading title.

Can you tell it's a stereo amplifier?
Yes, the Roland AC-90 is a stereo amplifier
How much this AC 90 in US dollar?
