J B someone’s offended
Four voices perfectly blended...these ladies had the best harmonies of their generation.
"Their generation"
At the tops of any generation I think.

So true!!
I loved how there were no lead singers in this group.. everyone sung the song DOWN😭😭❤️
Just like the R&B group 112 every member could sing 🎶
All 4 girls could sing lead that's one of the reasons they were picked for the group.
Yeah, they were all sopranos with range
Simply amazing 😍
How a group supposed to be. Unlike Beyoncé and Destiny's Child. Beyoncé wld even over power the background singing
yeah they are class. groups like that are amazing. little mix is kind of like that - and fifth harmony on a good day

These women were the epitome of black female beauty. All had different looks and had a ton of class.
Sex on legs they were and great singers. My all time favourites and I'm a white 71 year old female from Blighty

Except for that crazy flat note on the lead vocal their producers left in at the very beginning of that "Who's Lovin' You?" intro on "Hold On"..., that shit still baffles the hell out of me.
30 years later and this song is still a banger.
still as fresh as the first time I heard it.
A gang banger
One of my all time favorite songs and my anthem for des mens!!🤣🤣🤣
what a unique blend of Disco hip-hop and R&B all mixed together perfectly. right in that transition period. still a banger in 2023.❤💯
They in there 60 now
I remember when this single dropped! It was like the rebirth of the Supremes or Ronnettes. And those 1990s huge, wide wood shavings curls and sequined slip dresses! This video was a total smoke show but the production on this beat was off the hook -- there's that James Brown guitar sample, the flute, that clav keyboard floating around in the background, the orchestra hits, the crescendos and scales -- it all worked so, so well together. This is THE definitive girl group track from the New Jack Swing era. Foster & McElroy, the producers, absolutrely crushed it on this one. Virtuosity.
I mean, this description though.
Yes ‼🎼
James Brown sample!!! Didn’t notice till I read your comment. Excellent ears. Hard to believe I didn’t hear it when the Payback is one of my favorite songs from him.

They literally are like the modern day Supremes. Their voices and harmonies is just outstanding. It gave me chills

I have never heard a group of women that can harmonize as good as this group of women!!! Just wish they could have stayed around a little bit longer.Their harmony is really out of this world 🌎 !!!! Thank you for sharing those great voices with us!!!!!!

The Emotions harmonized better than any other female that l’ve ever heard, but these girls are very good as well.
This song will never get old . Them 90s vibes were something else
Maxine and Dawn ripped it!!!!! My favorite part is the a capella. Really showcases the depths of their voices and their untouchable blend. The best vocal blending since Wanda, Sheila, Jeanette, and Pamela.... The Emotions.
Harmonies from another planet. The greatest display of group vocals ever recorded. Brilliant. These four voices together were without equal. Nobody comes close.....
It’s like 4 Whitney Houston’s in one group outstanding
That harmonized 'breakdown' is way better than 20s of some rapper mouthing off.
Right you are. There is rap, and there is music. There is NO 'rap music'
Couldn't possibly agree more.

This group, this song, and this video remain the standards by which I judge all other girl groups. A classic among classics.
That breakdown was INSANELY good
They were the ultimate glamour girl group of the 90s! Like, a 90s versions of the Supremes.
Totally agree!
Sam Ross and Supermodel beautiful
Grew up with the Supremes but I like En Vogue too. Pretty close to what the Supremes were with the glamour and the talent.
@ Kim Kelly Ahhh you must be proud of the Music they made back then. I grew up to Diana Ross's Chain Reaction... couldn't we change Places for a few Days??? I must have been so Great being a Young Thing when Morrison, Joplin and Hendrix had their Time! Btw En-Vogue maybe wouldn't exist, if the Supremes didn't exist before, we don't know...
There will never be an EnVogue without Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones.
I refuse to acknowledge them especially with whoever the new chick they have now......
Dawn knew her worth. Maxine didn’t.

Cindy Herron

I totally agree they were definitely groundbreaking.
They were certainly hot. They just kinda disappeared.
Too bad its Terry and Cindy and a third woman instead of Dawn and Maxine. The trio that currently calls themselves En Vogue did some Christmas movie recently.
Yeah they definitely need to be recognized. They made great music. They were highly vocal and artistic. They could dance and we're gorgeous. Definitely ground breaking and definitely should be recognized
Destiny's Child have Grammys, and these ladies don't? I DEMAND A RECOUNT!!!
Destiny Child makes commercials with beautiful sound tracks, En Vogue have talent. They are Rnb goddesses
For real!!!!!!
I'm not surprised. The Supremes are the most celebrated and notable group in the world. They are internationally known worldwide and they had longevity and they do not have one Grammy either and they had twelve(12) No. 1 hits. True talent is always over looked for commercial bubble gum!

@risingofthephoenixx. I agree with you. En Vogue is by far the best female music group since the Supremes. I would even go far as to say they sang better than the supremes. Their harmonies were great on point and intricate. It is a shame they didn’t get the fame and success they deserved. Honestly, it’s almost criminal that they didn’t. They were unique, considering girl groups like SWV, 702, and TLC went for the baggy clothes tomboyish look that was well known in the 90’s.
