They then had a free concert in Piedmont Park and there was Tony Braxton singing "Love Should Have Brought You Home Last Night." The next wk the movie premiered and folks flocked to the movie theatres to see it. Well played Toni... well played.
Toni Braxton, her music is so amazing, takes you to a time in your life, each one of her song's tells a story. This is by far one of her "BEST" works. I am 39, and I listen to her almost every day. Wish we had music like this today, but not everyone can be great like Toni!
Toni Braxton has always had the finest men in her music videos. And I'm not sure but I don't think I've seen her actually perform this song. If she didn't I don't know why because this was my favorite song !
True story. Love Should Have Brought You Home Last Night was supposed to be performed by Anita Baker, sultry alto. Anita was pregnant and not feeling up to it and told BabyFace "Use the girl on the demo tape. She sounds good." That girl was Toni Braxton. Anita and Toni have those sexy rich alto voices.
Toni is the utter definition of pure sexuality. She does it with such ease without the unnecessary tactic of shedding away clothing. Just like Aaliyah, very mystique yet sensual in every way. Love this bop. The beat is hot.

The woman with the one in a million voice. My Aunt always packed Toni's debut CD along with her everywhere she went, you'd think it was a bottle of water or something. She got me hooked on her.
Ms. Braxton is still one of the finest R&B artists of all time. And I agree with a previous poster, it seems like few people remember how dope the 90s were for R&B and hip-hop.
Toni Braxton - there are really no words that can describe how she defined and help personify the sound of RnB in the 90's. She is culture! I remember going to our local music store in town and our dad bought her Secrets CD for my brother and he bought the Celine Dion Falling Into You CD for me. This was around July 1996. We were so giddy with joy, we ended up making a mix tape from CD's we bought up to that point. Eddie Murphy, Babyface, Boomerang really ignited a sound that nothing can ever compare to this date,
This song was released in 1996. I was 6 then. I've been listening to this song for 20 years and I've only just now paid attention to the words-never knew this song was so nasty!
Kinda the same for me with Az Yet's "Last Night" from The Nutty Professor soundtrack. Loved that song for years, but it wasn't until I was an adult that I realized what they were actually saying.
+omegagilgamesh I recently found out how nasty a song from before my time really is... "Reasons" by EWF. It's basically the lead singer saying, in modern terms, that he just wants to hit it for a night.
I never paid attention to the lyrics when I was a teenager. But now when I listen to it I realize there is a lot going on with this song. The sexy lyrics, her deep vocals, the unbelievably smooth beat and rhythm of this song is truly in a league all it's own. Perfection.
I was 15 when this gem came out. Had MTV on constantly so that I didnt miss it when it came on. Knew the lyrics by heart ( english is not my first language) and even cut my hair like Tony , I so wanted to be her! Still love it after all these years! 😊

He still is lol
winogirlll back when? He still is
Toni Braxton - there are really no words that can describe how she defined and help personify the sound of RnB in the 90's. She is culture! I remember going to our local music store in town and our dad bought her Secrets CD for my brother and he bought the Celine Dion Falling Into You CD for me. This was around July 1996. We were so giddy with joy, we ended up making a mix tape from CD's we bought up to that point. Eddie Murphy, Babyface, Boomerang really ignited a sound that nothing can ever compare to this date,
She looks so beautiful in the white suit and her make up is perfection
This song was released in 1996.
I was 6 then.
I've been listening to this song for 20 years and I've only just now paid attention to the words-never knew this song was so nasty!
+dapperfan44 Well at 6 yrs old you weren't suppose to learn anything about nasty songs lol
I was 15 ☺️ good ol days... I listen to this song as much now as I did then... all the time ☺️
Ok so you got to be an 80s kid back then!
This and W.A.P are worlds apart.....this was class.
Two different songs. Why compare. Also there were tons of people that were from a older generation than her that thought this was classless.
What's W.A.P gotta do with this song? Sheesh for a moment I thought you were a winner, GET BACK IN THAT ELEVATOR!
Wap ain’t got shit to do with this song 🙄
They’re also in two completely different genres dummy
wot is W.A.P?
Tisha Campbell so funny in this video😂😂😂
I never paid attention to the lyrics when I was a teenager. But now when I listen to it I realize there is a lot going on with this song. The sexy lyrics, her deep vocals, the unbelievably smooth beat and rhythm of this song is truly in a league all it's own. Perfection.
Who still has "R&B" in there "Soul" in....2019....?!
I feel like the older music is better than what's being played these days
Meeeeer👌👌👌👌👌👌💯

Dear Lord, she is stunning.
Let the church say amen!
Absolutely !!!
Yes so beautiful and such a powerful natural voice
She still looks great today! 💖
The white cat suit she was wearing looked amazing 😉
I was 15 when this gem came out. Had MTV on constantly so that I didnt miss it when it came on. Knew the lyrics by heart ( english is not my first language) and even cut my hair like Tony , I so wanted to be her! Still love it after all these years! 😊
