I own the Epiphone Les Paul Classic in Honey Burst ("Inspired by Gibson") and I'm here to tell you these guitars look and sound like everything you are seeing and hearing. Get one. For Real.
i have the same guitar, it's wonderful. I played my epi and in hte same time i palyed a gibson slash signature and the sound isn't so different. Even if the bridge and other parts of gibson are better but the sound is not different
I had the same model Epiphone Les Paul Classic in Honey Burst as well 2 years ago and got it for a bargain. Sold it to fund other gear and I totally regret it now. Will definitely buy one again in the future. The sound, playability, and versatility of the Classics are amazing and punch above their weight.
I just got the 50s and it plays like a dream, it sustains like crazy, the neck profile is so comfortable and the fretwork is perfect, they are really nice guitars !
I’ve got the honeyburst classic and couldn’t be happier with it. Just going off this review to my ears the standard sounds the best clean and with gain but the classic sounds more familiar and brighter and it sounds the closest to a slash tone to me. The muse sounds great too.
I just got a muse, and man… I’m amused!! It’s got a lot of tone variations, with coil splitting, out of phase, and all that. I’m absolutely thrilled with the tone:price ratio. Nice instrument!
My project is influenced by a mix of 2000s Finnish rock bands, nu-metal, and metalcore. I get by with an Epiphone LP Classic for recordings just fine! Sound is important, but so is knowing music production and mastering your instrument enough to get the sound you want out of it.
Biggest thing for me with a guitar is feel and sustain. Those are 2 things that are really difficult to improve, sound can easily be changed with new pots or pickups
@@TheLowest No problems there either! My PRS Mark Holcomb SE just arrived and to be honest, while there is a difference between the two, it doesn’t feel huge. I’ll be very surprised if people will notice much of a difference on recordings.
Eu não dava nada por ela..rssr achava que era uma dessas guitarristas de m... linha de entrada. Mas não velho... É tipo uma Standard, só que de corpo mais fino. Contornos mais modernos. É a mesma captação inclusive.. Abraço!
I was going to buy the Classic with the Katana 100w. But, then I saw the Standard and decided to spend the extra $100 on it and go with the Katana 50w. So worth the extra money.
I have the Katana 100w with the classic Epiphone LP model. The two sound great together and match the characteristics of the Les Paul note for note. I don't think I will ever buy an actual Les Paul again after losing mine in the flood of 2016, especially with the quality of the Epiphone builds...
It is sooo cool to have so many choices! My main rig is my Fender Malmsteen replica, my Epiphone Les Paul Classic in Honeyburst (get the Epiphone hardshell case for your guitar--worth every dime) and a Fender Champion 100 (100w, 2x12 speakers and the drive channel alone is worth the price of the amp), 40lbs, total solid state and a fist full of on board effects that really impress. The amp loves pedals and even comes with a 2 button footswitch. The only optional accessory is a slip case to keep your amp clean. So get your amp and plug in that new Epiphone of yours. Which ever you choose you're going to love it. Rock on!
It's a great guitar! Check the review of the Epiphone '59 Les Paul Standard. Man. it's beautiful.. and it comes with Burstbucker pickups, with aged finish..it's a great '50s Les Paul! Thanks for watching!
@@GarciahGuitar The weight relief was important to me. Out of all the reviews 2 people complained about a heavy neck? Hope not. Then the wood seemed like changed from mahogany chambered body to a exotic wood even for the neck now? The cap is maple. Ordered one and will have to see what it turns out to be. Great video
@@akshatshahi718 You know they lied "Guitar Center" and never had any? was so mad. I purchase the modern sg from Epiphone custom in red fade from American Musical. Incredible guitar but the one surprise was it is "heavier" ???? > thicker than an original SG like my older Gibson. But beautiful to play and a real work of art. Now when I purchased the modern custom Epiphone LP in bourbon burst from American Musical that is lighter from the modern construction? which I wanted on both and same thickness as the original LP. As I get older my back is feeling the heavier axes after all the years.🙃
@@samiam9059 damn Stock might be an issue for me too but I hope it gets better. Im buying the LP muse in a few months. Its gonna be my third guitar, second electric when I got into electric I started with a squier fat strat and now I think Id like an upgrade. I would surely not stop using it its got good clean tones. Muse being light is surely a plus for me my squier is pretty light probably what makes it so cheap. I have actually never played a LP or a SG but I'm planning to try it soon at a guitar store near me before i buy it.
Sir one question i have..should i get the classic right now or should i wait for the muse until is back in stock? i really like clean riffs but i also like for example rammstein riffs...will classic be good for metal riffs? thank you
Should I get the Classic in Cherry Sunburst or the Custom in Alpine White? I was going for the custom at first, but now I look at it and it feels a bit OTT.
All sound great. Working mans Les Paul. In a band or mix who knows if its a Gibson or not. Gibson guitars are not the only guitars around. If you want a Les Paul get one of these and dont bother about the name on the headstock, its how you play it that matters. Actually, Epiphone is i big brand name. It doesnt matter where the guitar is made so long as its made well and plays good and these do. I have a 59' standard and wanting a Classic but cant decide on the finish!
Great testimonial! It really sounds great (the 3 of it) and most part of brands today are manufacturing their product overseas.. it's a fact. Epiphone is making a better campaign with its products than Gibson.. Believe me.. I put my hands in some very expensive Gibsons that you would cry because of a lame finish. I'm really considering to buy one these Epis and upgrade its pickups.. I'm giving up on the name in the headstock as well..ahahah Cheers!
@@GarciahGuitar I'll be honest with you I would only change the pickups because you have a particular preference to some other sound. The Epiphone pickups are fine. Great review and test by the way thanks.
Man, in terms of sound it's pretty much the same.. same pickups. But the Muse has a thinner body, and its finishes is not that classic. So.. if you're looking for a more traditional Les Paul, you should go for a Standard. But if you're more interested in cost x benefit, don't worry.. the Muse is a great guitar. Cheers!
Both are great choices.. if you like Rock, Metal, Shredding, go for the Classic. Because of the pickups (Alnico V). If you like Classic Rock, Blues, this kind of genres, go for the Standard. If you're considering the best budget, best cost x benefit, go for the Classic or even the Muse (I think it's cheaper than the Classic). Cheers!
@@gxs8p578 Well.. Slash uses Alnico II pickups, but with a hotter output. The Epi Standard and Muse comes with ProBucker which is Alnico II pickups. BUT... @@GarciahGuitar I agree but I bought the Muse unplayed but I don't play heavy metal and it's close but different with the chambered body. With my spark 40 I'll never get thru all the tone options. I think it would rock out decently not like you mentioned it needs the classic.
Música é arte.. e a estética importa
It's a great Cost X Benefit! It's cheaper than the Standard, and comes with the Alnico Pro pickups.. which I prefer rather than the ProBuckers.. Curiously most part of people are choosing Classic..rsrsrs Thanks for watching!
