  • In this video I'm sharing a simple way to step up your card making projects, by making decorative edges! You can use dies and a special die cutting technique to do this, but today I'm mainly sharing how to hand cut around stamped images to create a nice border. Watch along and then try this technique yourself!

Love the cards; I’m not a regular follower so the conversation was a surprise to me. I believe in prayers. As for prayers and fasting, I feel the fasting needed today is fasting from social media, news, phone, television internet. Relationships struggle without communication. A while back, my husband and I needed to agree, phones and everything connected to them, are put away during our meals together. Our meals are us. We are stronger today, at 33 years together, than yesterday. Feeling blessed to understand in today’s world, what one needs to ‘fast’ from.

Oh Anna!! I am so glad you are talking about fasting! Jesus taught us to fast. Bible fasting takes us deeper into a spiritual relationship with our Lord. When I'm on a Bible fast and get hungry, I just start reading my Bible and I also pray. God's word is food for our spiritual soul and my hunger goes away. Also- it is important to drink plenty of water during a fast. God recognizes our sacrifices and when we humbly put "self" down and lift Him up, He can really move for us! ✝️🙏💕

You are so true, our families are in such jeopardy! The Lord is the only hope we have. God has laid our families on my heart to pray and as you said fasting, for them! Thankful to hear others are on the same wave length.

Love these cards! There are no coincidences. Been married to my first and only love for over 50 years now. Prayer absolutely works. I made a promise and I’m keeping it. We were very young and knew everything, except for what we didn’t know! 🤣

My husband and I have been married for over50years. Five years into our journey, we attended a Marriage Encounter weekend where we learned communication and decision making skills many of which we still use. Prayer is even a stronger part now.
I like the card making border suggestions.

Keep talking the talk, girl. So good! During these insane times, self-care is critical. Good family / friends to talk to. Prayer also. Crafting is my mental therapy. Interesting about fasting, never done that. ty Anna.

Marriage Encounter was good early on but after 47 years another little prod wouldn’t go amiss - so now I make doubly sure to include my partner in my daily prayers- It helps me to walk a bit in their shoes and see the world and my issues from their POV. Power of prayer really does go a long way. Thank you for yours (for Donna)

Love these cards, Anna! I might try this with a star die for a graduation card I need ASAP. So great that you mentioned John Gottman. The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work is a great resource for keeping the friendship in your relationship/marriage and making sure that clear communication is happening. Relationships take work! There's nothing harder than getting two lives to go in the same direction with mutual trust, respect, and commitment. But it's worth it. Wishing the best to all who are trying to make a marriage or long-term relationship work.

10:43 -- "I encourage you try praying and fasting!" Anna, I absolutely agree. The combined power of prayer and fasting is immeasurable.
There is no such thing as coincidences, they are tender mercies from our Heavenly Father. We can definitely change how we conduct ourselves regardless of how other's choices effect us.

Yes I loved your tips on new use for our dies on edges. But I really want to express how much fasting has changed my life too. I really didn’t understand it fasting dedicate these hours to our Lord. I’m in a women Bible Journaling Group. This past month March we did fasting every Tuesday during the month at church and those who couldn’t go did it at home. My life was enlightened during these weeks I wasn’t only fasting those Tuesdays but everyday during that week a few hours each week. It brings us so close to God it’s amazing and hard to express how close and how he has his ways of letting you know that he is beside with you. Thanks for sharing both your knowledge in stamping but also your peaceful spiritual counsel at the end of each of your live video. Just being thankful for you May you continue to counsel and advise us. Blessings always ❤🙏

Very neat ideas I plan to try.
After 51 years of marriage, of reading, praying, and overlooking nasty and dangerous behavior, I'm moving out. My sanity is at stake. Truly it is in the balances. My friends and children agree it's not safe for me any more. Sad but true. Not physical abuse, mental. I'm not leaving to start any new relationship, but for peace and sanity. Not for a divorce, but simply because I will never have peace here.

Only serial infidelity or abuse are reasons not to try every avenue available to save a marriage, in my humble opinion.
