- McNary High School participated in the "7-Up National Spirit Contest." They competed with five other regional winning schools across the country and were judged on leadership, involvement, unity, creativity, and teamwork.
McNary won the national contest and earned a van!

Yes, it was used for the school's recycling program!
Wow, I never knew McNary was this old. lol
McNary High School opened in 1965. Before that year Keizer residents attended North High School (and Salem HS before that :-)
@@keizerhistory I was fortunate enough to graduate from Mcnary in ‘85. Twenty years of being open; It was a milestone for the high school and students. Attending there from 81-85 so many fun memories and many friends; classmates and staff.
I was a freshman and I was part of this experience. It was so much fun
