    It blows my mind that people living in cold climates that regularaly see snow, still think going WOT is how you get unstuck. Absolutely amazing.

      @@nativeoutdoors1780 99% of cases where you’re actually stuck…WOT does absolutely nothing but make your situation worse. It just creates a smooth bowl that your tires have zero chance of gripping.
      Going slow allows your tires to bite.

    • @nativeoutdoors1780
      @nativeoutdoors1780 7 місяців тому +2

      @@chrismonroe8417 I mean now the argument is shifted from what is "stuck"
      Because if you have road underneath snow then your gonna need to rev and dig until the tires melt a spot with grip. If wot won't get you unstuck then neither will light throttle, you'll need to get a push or get dug out

    • @chrismonroe8417
      @chrismonroe8417 7 місяців тому +1

      @@nativeoutdoors1780 Ugh…maybe if you have something with enough ground clearance…otherwise you’ll just bottom out and then you’re fucked no matter what you do.
      Gotta get pushed/pulled out at that point.
      Digging down is NOT what you want to do. At all lol.

    I always ran home from work at my old job. One day there was a blizzard during the day. People were all worried about me but I had all the gear I needed and feet work a lot better in snow than wheels! On the way home I helped three people in cars who were stuck haha.

    People try and drive in these conditions here in BC with worn out summer tires, no one can afford tires with inflation, also I noticed they salt the roads every clear night, but when it snows all the plows disappear! lol. Love your video and Thanks for helping out those in need.

    When you're pulling a vehicle with a snowmobile.
    Any debris can break a window from spinning the track. And then you have a lawsuit. I will not pull anyone out anymore unless they sign a piece of paper stating any damage that occurs. I'm not liable just to save my a**

    If you don’t get snow tires just buy a snow sock that wraps around one of your driving wheels for traction, we have them in New Zealand for those extremely rare snow events, they are cheap and they work, and they store easily in your boot.

    • @impsquared

      I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. I had a similar thing happen when I was helping someone get unstuck. After getting the person unstuck, the driver got out of the car to grab their shovel but left the car in drive. It ended up side-swiping another car and running into a snowbank. Thankfully I was paying attention and got out of the way in time or I would have been crushed in between the car and the frozen snowbank.

      Thank you! I record in 4k @ 60fps with a hero 11 black. For voiceovers I use a large diaphragm condenser mic with a pop filter running through my POD HD Pro X (I have an audio interface for guitar). I use davinci resolve to edit and record voiceovers.
      For batteries I carry 3 gopro batteries as well as a power bank. At cold temps they tend to die at about 50% so multiple batteries is key. My SD card is 512GB so it has room for lots of footage!
