    He never invested in a single house (spent it all on rent @ Versace in Dubai), never changed the situation of his family back home in the slums, and never thought to channel $1 towards a legitimate business. He could have stopped a long time ago and gone legit, but greed and stupidity got the best of him. Sadly, all the people he tried to impress are now wishing him the worst.

      Tbh I think poorer people sometimes have a warped view of being richer. I’m not sure they see student debt, working to the bone, mortgaged, inheritances, luck in general, networking which contribute to someone’s income when they’re rich.
      The internet shows the flashy parts of a richer lifestyle but also makes it seem more attainable (which it could be, but I think it’s hard to see the things at work when you see legit rich people).

    The whole idea for this channel, to uncover fake gurus and fraudsters is so brilliant… I’m almost frustrated (ie: why didn’t I think of that?).       It's not smart nor does it require any intelligence. It's basic phishing -- emailing clients/civilians by committing fraud through posing as a legitimate business that the client operates with. If the client is negligent and does not correctly look at the email address, they can make a huge mistake.

    Greed, low self-esteem and stupidity sums HushPuppi.
    Most of these scammers are given a breathing space by the law enforcement agencies to build a case against them. In addition, they use them to help identify the network of the criminal gang.
    Some assume and think that they are just too clever hence the reason why they are not caught. The kind of money they bank automatically raises red flags.
    So, going on social media to try and make it look like legitimate income is usually the beginning of their downfall because they indirectly help to create a catalogue of evidence which later becomes the nail in their coffin.
    It is easy to spot a fraudster like HushPuppi from a mile.

Why would Spencer make a video on this though? He’s calling out a fraudster, which is what his channel is mainly focused on. My ex gf is Nigerian, so I knew about hush puppy for years now. Yes Europe stole from, murdered and enslaved many cultures in the past. But let’s not pretend most cultures didn’t commit atrocities at some point when they had power, and some are still doing so today. So the actions of the past have nothing to do with hishpuppys actions. I think you only mentioned it because you are also African?

    I worked for a payment processor and in countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Morocco, we always banned service. They would call with a thick Nigerian accent, saying he has some English name like Steven, while the ip address is logged in from Turkey. It's really sad that people like this tarnish the image of Nigerians and perpetuate the stereotype. And then he basically asked to be arrested. Social media really is a sickness.

    My late mentor who was an amazing real estate developer in NY never, ever paid more for his every day clothes than $30 a piece. Yet he owned so much property and land and I used to go with him on business meetings and to his properties what you said is so true. He built the Ritz Carlton in Miami and many other places people know well. Jack, may he Rest in Peace was worth $300 million. In 2018 We visited a business partner of his who owns the Oaeka Castle in Long Island NY .. The guy named George owns a 100,000sqft property and I asked him if he owned any expensive cars he says he does not even own one car and never leaves his castle.

      This guy committed very different crimes than Elizabeth Holmes did - she was accepting big money from big investors with an actual business (of sorts), her products were a sham but the business itself was legit & she wasn't stealing the money to fund her lifestyle. Hushpuppi was a fraud start to finish - he used charities & investments as a selling point to scam money & then laundered it through wire transfers & a ridiculous lifestyle which he was dumb enough to catalogue on Instagram for authorities. And I'd be willing to bet every tax agency on earth is after him as well - as Capone learned the hard way, don't mess with the IRS!
