  • Rob Gorodetsky is going to serve 28 months in jail for his fraudulent use of funds from Individual A, his lifestyle sugar daddy.
    Rob Gorodetsky claimed to be a world class sports bettor and could help make his acquaintance a lot of money. He began by taking nearly $1 million to bet on sports and the stock market. He kept most of it for personal funds to pay for his expensive lifestyle.
    After convincing Individual A to lend another $9 million, Rob kept over $2.2 million for himself in order to fund his lifestyle for social media. He wanted to convince people that he was a legitimate sports handicapper.
    He was finally caught and determined to be guilty. He will serve 28 months in jail for his crimes.

    I'll put this again. sports gambling gurus give 50% of clients one side of the game and the other 50% the other side. in 4-5 games a small percentage of their clients win 80-100% so they think the guy is legit and dump massive amounts of money into these idiots. There's a reason they don't give winners for sports like golf unless it's player vs the field type bets.

    • @SirGriefALot
      @SirGriefALot 3 роки тому +13

      That's a good scam. You'll never piss off more than 50% of your clients. As long as you keep bringing in new marks, you don't even have to know anything about sports. I wonder if they could bet $100,000 on both teams, eat the vig as a 'marketing cost' and constantly be showing off big winning tickets.

    • @seanhobbins2956

    Spencer, thank you for exposing these fake gamblers. As someone who plays poker profitably, and used to professionally, let me tell you that professional gambling is the least glamourous thing ever. You need to deal with massive swings for long periods of time even when you do EVERYTHING right. Furthermore, casinos are awful places to be, even when you win. 99% of people there are losing and it's depressing. Plus, you need to WORK to maintain your edge. You'll doubt yourself during downswing and have to deal with judgement from others. Don't get me wrong, poker is the best life experience I have, but to present gambling in this light is pure evil. I may be a profitable player, but once you're hooked, you're fucked. If you're a real professional gambler, unless you're in the 0.01% you're not living that lifestyle. You're living cheaply as possible saving preparing for the downswing.
