Hello, I really enjoy all your Rickshaw Bags pen rolls/ coozy reviews. I'm curios if you've gotten any more, that you hadn't done a video for yet? Also curious since you mention several times how you bring your backpack with your pens etc with you everywhere, if you had tried one of the Rickshaw backpacks?? Thank you again for your great reviews! 🙂
Thanks so much for the comment and watching. I have not tried their backpacks as of yet. Maybe in the future. Right now I use a Hershel backpack that I have put patches on and I enjoy it quite a bit. 🙂
@@boo.bitchcraft.books23 Thanks for letting me know. I don't have one of Rickshaws back packs (Yet) either. But the color and fabric customization is very tempting! Thanks again for your reviews 🙂
Yea I for sure got Chocolate once the lid had been off a few moments. Right up front I got pipe tobacco. But it smells a lot better than spruce and I love a good brown, so I’m thrilled. 😬
Chameleon means that it changes color depending on the angle at which the light hits it and/or you view it. Chameleons are usually a shift between specific sets of colors with blue/red and green/red being well-represented in the market. Organics Studio Nitrogen is a blue/red chameleon. This is different from chromo-shading where you have multiple tones of color that separate out on the paper. An example of this would be Sailor Manyo Haha. A brown ink with a green shimmer is not chameleon or chromo-shading, it's just multitonal.
@@lisaleone2296 Sheen Machine is a sheening ink, Camelion in the general usage means matches the background! Arctic Blast is a blue sheening or shimmering ink.
I was watching someone else's video and there seemed to be a lot of debate on what Pick Me Up was supposed to smell like. I got tobacco instantly, and said it smelled like a dirty ashtray at first but mellowed out, while other people were saying coffee or tiramisu and insisted the pick-me-up was coffee. I started to think maybe I was having a stroke or something and your video made me go back to the bottle for a second whiff. Nope. Even hearing other people say coffee and tiramisu and dark chocolate, I definitely still smell tobacco more than anything, and it reminds me of e-cigarette liquid. Maybe the pick me up is not caffeine but nicotine? Or maybe I am actually having a stroke. Only time will tell.
Well, I certainly hope you aren’t having a stroke…that would mean I am too. I think things just have different notes to different people. But I don’t mind the scent. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video. I don’t usually get into the Inkvent boxes as a whole, but every year there are a few individual colors that I snipe off once they become available individually. You describe a few inks as “chameleon” colors - does that refer to a specific property/ combination of them (ie. shimmer, sheening, multi-shading, etc)? And is that an official proprietary term that Diamine uses to label them, or are you just using it as a colloquial description?
Thanks for watching. Diamine actually uses the term and it’s on the bottles of a few of them. It seems to be a mix of inks that shimmer and sheen from what I can tell. The shimmer also seems to be multi-tonal, so it will have multiple shades or colors in the shimmer. I thought they did great on this years calendar. 🙂
Thanks for doing this - I was dithering about getting this but couldn't justify the outlay. I'm guessing that Pick Me Up smells of Tiramisu dessert because that's the literal translation of the Italian word.
I was having a moment, I should have known that. I’ve seen other words that we use a “Z” and the UK will use an “S”. 🤦🏻♀️ Best wishes is pretty and the Pick Me Up doesn’t remind me of tiramisu much, but you might be right, maybe that is what they were going for. I do love it as a dessert…not too sweet. 🙂
@@MidnightSocietyImages I did'nt watch it on a 32" TV that's right. But that's not the way it works. I watch many videos - also on small screens like on my mobile or tablet - and they all work fine. 🙃😎
Color-correcting video can be pretty tricky - a lot of the bigger pen/ink channels invest a decent amount (money, technology, time, etc) into their video production quality, and even then it’s not always guaranteed to render perfectly for everybody’s screen. I think this reviewer did a pretty good job for what they’re working with :)
“Cosy” is the British spelling, so that makes sense considering where the ink originates. :)
Ahhh you are correct. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. 🙂

I got coffee and chocolate from Pick Me Up, and 'eww cologne' from Spruce. But had the same "oh..huh...very different" response.

Appletini is the perfect ink to pair with Sailor’s Wicked Witch pen! Thank for this great video.
It is a beautiful shade. I love it and can’t wait to ink it up. 🙂
I never did figure out what camelion means. I loved the blue shee of Arctic Blast that I didn't see from your video. .

I write for about a half hour almost every day and I’m still trying to get through the last calendar! Can’t wait to order mine.
I know exactly what you mean. I didn’t really neeeeed it…I just wanted it. 😂
This was great! I decided not to order Inkvent, but I was itching to see what was inside . 😊❤ Thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
Yup, I too feel arctic blast is similar jack frost (which I have)

I LOVE Best Wishes! There's some I'll be buying separately. Yes in the UK where Diamine is from, we spell C-O-S-Y that way.

Sadly the camera position and the lighting is not that great to really see how the inks turn out...
You must be watching this on the worlds tiniest display.

I normally like most of the diamine inks, but there's just way too many awful orangey colours 😞
