“When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.” ― Arthur Conan Doyle Thanks, I wish I'd stumbled on this channel a year ago before becoming a "mamil" I would also add the following 1. Good Cycling Cloths 2. Lights and being visible 3. Taking it easy....
Great tips. As above lights. And another common sense while making sure you know how to change a tube make sure you have one and the tools to do so with you :) are you doing the frog this year? If I see ya I’ll say hi 👋
Yea I probably could have gone into a bit more detail on that one… Yes I’ve registered for the FROG 65 - ended up having to do the shorter one last year, had just recovered from Covid and it was my first run out on the bike in weeks, hopefully I’m a bit fitter this year!
@@connormcc after climbing in Majorca the frog is a bun run :) although they are saying this year is the last one. I done the 167 this year it was amazing. Hard but amazing highly recommend I’d imagine your fitter than me so no issues to you :)
@@connormcc you can just start out and let the legs decide 🤷♂️ if at the cut off you feel good go right and that’s the 225 and again the same for the 312 there’s quite a lot of climbing so the legs will Definately decide. I’m 15st so the climbing needs more work I’d love to go back at say 13 and try for the 225
Another good tip is to use front and rear lights in the daytime for improved safety and visibility.
Yes that’s a good one! I always run a rear light even in daylight!

Yea I’ve heard this is the last year too which is a shame… I’d like to tackle one of the 312 rides for sure, just not sure which one
