Wow how can Elizabeth Moss not think she's the focus of the show? She has the greatest character arc on the entire series. Really shows how much Jon understood the show when he has to provide that answer. That it starts at Peggy's first day. A great point that is overlooked.
@@chairwood44 peggy is the only reason i return to rewatch the show. for me its so thrilling to see her grow and find herself, and really, she's the only character who doesn't do scummy things for selfish reasons. pete, on the other hand...
It's called being humble, obviously she knows she's a central character but she wasn't going to be vain and agree it's all about her, what planet are you from that you can't recognise modesty when you see it?
I didn’t like Pete sometimes but I feel like he had a good character arc, Harry Crane was the opposite made me sad that he declined because he kinda looks like me. The rest of the characters I liked and I loved Peggy the most
Fay Ali If you like but... if you _must_ bring superstition into it, then surely ol' Lucifer is equally deserving of a mention concerning the... er... _presence_ of Hendricks and Hamm ;)
They’re all so shy in Mathew’s presence:)) and a lot more relaxed at interviews when he is not around but still very reserved about the plot/future episodes and endings:)
I think we saw some of that kind of situation in the first half of season 7. I will say that I’m usually very opposed to prequels and sequels because they never live up to what each of us individually imagines and can potentially ruin the character. That’s actually a little bit of how I felt about the way Don’s backstory was handled in the later seasons.
I love how January Jones is happy that Betty got *SPOILER* cancer. Tbh I think the rest of us aren't unhappy either but that just goes to show her acting skills.
I like January Jones. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS. Her character got killed of and she's happy with the ending because she knows it was good and wasn't thinking "I got killed off; that sucks."
It’s Hamm not Hammel.Lauer should know who he’s speaking with.Unprofessional for sure.Love johns cool and collected reaction, just looking around at the others to see if anyone else noticed the mistake.
You'll notice that Moss was very quiet when Lauer asked whether people were happy with their character's ending. Peggy's ending was cartoonish and weak. It was a joke ending for the second most iconic character on the show. Weiner could have done MUCH better than that.
I just finished watching the series and I agree. Peggy stood for so much more than just finding a partner/love that it seemed as if her story was just tied up nearly at the end. Her character deserved more
Selina Begum I have two daughters and until the end, Peggy might have been one of the greatest feminist icons in Hollywood history. For her character to happily settle down with a man watered down the wonderful empowering feminist message that Weiner had built up through the entire series.
Yea, the writing could have been much stronger than that. If you single out Peggy's story, it's actually the one that shows the most development. I liked that she ended up with Stan because I was rooting for that for quite some time. I don't think it took much away from her character. She's still a career-woman at the end, but love was something she was also seeking throughout the entire series. I'm happy with her ending, but maybe the execution could have been better.
Well I thought that Don coming to home for real at the end was the most wonderful thing that would happen to him. I do not understand why the actor himself is not happy with that.
I feel like the ending happened too quickly, instead of really easing us into it, it was like "Peggy is in love with this bearded Zack Galifianakis substitute dude, Betty is going to die soon but not yet haha you don't get to see it or her family's reaction, Don is now an enlightened meditating shell of the person he was in the last episode...he changed his ways instantly.

I loved the show. Would have liked for it to stayed on longer. However, maybe things just run their course. The only thing that really bothered me was the ending. With break downs -- like one Don supposedly had, the ending just didn't fit. I would have love to have the chance to do the ending. To write the ending. Other than the ending, I loved the show. And the one part that bothered me most was when Meagan brought this other women in her and Don's bed. I believe she was trying to hang on to Don maybe, oh show him what he's missing not being with her. Who knows. I don't know what the show was thinking. This had to be totally written by men. Betty and one little fling: we obviously know what that was all about. Don't blame her. Favorite character's were Don: one we love to hate. Also, Pete, Peggy and Betty. And, Sally of course.
Jon Hamm is just like me only better looking and more talented
And may be a bit more educated.
