I love how people try to say that Jordan would not be as effective in today's game. He would be an absolute nightmare to guard with shooters spread around the 3-point line. Kawhi Leonard is often compared to Jordan in the mid-range, but Leonard has nowhere near the repertoire and athleticism.
@@23nites 1. Height in shoes 2. Shoot around is the real story, not Career percentage… His job was to kick out to 3-7 Full Time Shooters on his team. If he takes a random jumper every so often, and he connects of 2-3 out of 10 attempts, that percentage needs a bump up compared to someone who takes 3-6 3’s a game and shoots 38%-42%. Give Olajuwon 3-4 attempts per game and he’s above average next to other full time 80s/90s shooters 3. Dwight Howard, Bill Russell, Demarcus Cousins, KD, And AD are each 6’10” without shoes. He was so athletic that much of his footwork was instinctual. Not to mention he put in the work relentlessly. Never seen a player like this since. Kobe was a close second though. The closest.
Honestly when people ask about who is the goat this is the stuff that is hard to articulate. This entire series really is the the long answer lol. I mean no one has had or has now all these scoring skills. Lebron is so talented but does he have all these moves??? The answer is no. Kobe was as close as it gets. Thanks for this series. My son just turned 15 and is 6 “4” 175 and this is the stuff I’m trying to teach him. I would venture to say 95% of the stuff you teach in these videos kids not only don’t use they don’t know its even an option. Deep three or euro step and it stops there.
Kobe was a copycat. Not discrediting him but he was. When you emulate another nearly identically, then you aren’t original. MJ was and still is the only player that COMPLETE. The guy did everything on that court.
Hey coach can you talk about the difference between spinning baseline off of a defenders elbow into the back situation (which im already good at) vs spinning off of the defenders chest and shoulder area or just his hand? What am i trying to feel for and see?
I hate it when players now a days lift their pivot foot after a step through from the post…that was always a travel. Seeing jordan’s post moves and players from the past, shows them after the fake, stepping through and jumping with both feet, not lifting their pivot foot. Thats how it’s done!
Jordan lifts peeving foot all the time in most of his moves using back to the basket, then he uses the other foot to lift on one leg to move away from the defendant: is an ilegal move. If anything, he must get up with both legs at the same time to make the shot. Referees always turned away from calling it an ilegal move; they really help to make Jordan.
Only naysayers and nitpickers will say things like this without looking at him being bumped or pushed. Always trying to discredit his game. You phukkin people are incredible.
It's not even a question who the greatest of all time is!! Mj was unbelievable
FACTS!!!!

My favorite MJ move is his unstoppable fadeaway. He is a SG who postup on whoever he wants. Its crazy.
Greatest offensive weapon in the history of basketball. Guy had it all.
Olajuwon was a 6’10 Jordan, but Jordan at 6’5”/6’6” was the most visually astonishing
@@michaelbonhomme3677o. Olajuwan did not have mjs shot, athleticism, finishing around the basket or deeper bag. Hes more like a tall lite Jordan.
@@emmanuelowino9626 Watch the footage. Olajuwon HAD 3point range and a midrange turnaround jumper out to 20ft EASY
@michaelbonhomme3677 Olajuwan was 7 ft, not 6' 10", and he made 25 career 3 pointers over 17 seasons at the blistering rate of .202.

5:05 goodness
Successfully executing a couple of those MJ's elite moves in a real game as a teenager was one of the biggest joys I've ever experienced as a player.
Great attention to the details in your breakdowns of mj
He easily spotted the double teams in the pinch point...He perfected the post and mid range MJ will always be🐐
@15:00 is just a filthy move!
Jordan is easily the GOAT. Love these videos.
Love these videos brother!! Fantastic work.
Just to clarify in case anyone missed it, MJ was "just so elite"
😭😭😭

Footwork & athleticism are 2 different things
An argument can be made that MJ was the most skilled basketball player ever.
His step through was so beautiful. Are you gonna break down other players?
Inlove this game
Complete player 💯
Fire. Thanks for the breakdown

Kills me when Millennials say Kobe had the best foot work and skills Clearly they never saw Jordan

Great stuff
congratulations for these videos
Michael Jordan pasará a la historia de la nba
Man this is great stuff. Aside from maybe Kareem no player was as dominant or as unstoppable in the post as MJ.
The creativity and awareness is beyond anything anyone has possessed ever in basketball. Not even close. Ridiculous actually.
10:57 is disgusting
GOODWORK here
Wow 👏🏼👏🏼
That's gold

Wish I had iPad I’m my days bc I had to rewind my Bball film study w MJ and would break the VHS 😅

No one leaves their non pivot foot in one spot.
Stop trying to phukkin discredit his game. Phukkin bastards kill me.
There is no way kd a better scorer than this dude right here, that skinny lanky guy is overrated
Overrated? How many 7 footers got a jumper and can handle the ball? Not saying he’s a better scorer than MJ, but he definitely ain’t overrated
The best ever but, some of the moves were uncalled travels.
Travel? Where?
