Cedric Bixler -- Lead vocals
Jim Ward -- Guitar, back-up vocals

The back-up vocals on "Ludvico Drive-In" were done by Laura Beard and Sarah Reiser, who were friends with Bixler-Zavala and fellow members in the short lived group The Fall on Deaf Ears. The two girls died in a car wreck two years later. Cedric would later write "Napoleon Solo" about the incident. This is the last CD to feature Jarrett Wrenn and Kenny Hopper who went on to create Crime in Choir.
Following the release of ¡Alfaro Vive, Carajo! At the Drive-In set out on their second tour, this one in a newly purchased 1981 Ford Econoline van, spanning 42 days and 10,000 miles across the United States.

This song shows just how good cedric and ward are together omg
its a full EP
makes me sad to know Jim and those guys can't work their shit out, hate to say it but the newest ATDI album was not too good imo. It needed Jim he is a huge part of the sound of this group.
@@TheFBK69 100%. I actually forgot how good this era of ATDI was, Jim brought a lot to the group.
I was shocked when they announced he wouldnt be apart of the reunion, the band kinda became one dimensional after he left.
@@idonteatcheetos I doubt that Jim straight up left. I have a strong feeling that he was cut out of the picture during the reunion because Omar and Cedric have forgotten what it's like to be in a BAND and not just a project where you dictate everybody's playing
@@michaelgraham9774 he wasn’t cut out of anything. Jim is a flake and always has been.
At the drive in: I find my wayy
The mars volta: Noww i´m losttt
The pre-Omar ATDI has it's own unique and awesome youthfull energy.
Viva Ecuador, Excellent band!
At The Drive-In always had their very own unique style even during the early days.
The making of a great band was ALWAYS in this band.
Probably the best band to come out of El Paso. You guys rock.
Second best would be Apache.
Been too long since I've listened to this EP, well over 10 years. Still know every word like I never stopped listening. :)
Totally flooded with emotions and nostalgia. Oh the good ol' days of locking myself in my bedroom playing burnt copies of the ATDI EPs and CDs.
Alfaro vice carajo was a guerrilla group from Ecuador, interesting song
so honest so fucking pure. there will never be another group as perfect as atdi
got that right, probably the last good band that rocked with energy.
Indeed, not only were they jaw droppingly good, they were truly in the right place @ the right time, as homeboy above me just mentioned, they were probably the last band worth their weight that was able to get exposure the old fashioned way in the pre-Napster / pre-collapse of the major labels era . . .
I agree wholeheartedly
They’re just awesome. Fan of around 22 years here. I’ve heard every song by ATDI and of their entire collection can name maybe 10 songs I don’t like. There are very few bands I can say that about.
Haven't listened to this in so long its blowing my mind all over again.. 🤘
They created a genre no one could’ve topped, which is why they topped themselves and made Sparta & Mars Volta
At the drive-in ¡viva siempre!
If ATDI was a girl, I would marry her.
Accurate
I would take her out for a nice steak dinner and never call her again
Yes! Thanks for the upload!
i agree. thanks alot
I voided my bowels when I first heard atdi
pioneer .

i know Bradley Smith and the backstory of this song. lyrics stolen from a phone answering machine in Lubbock TX
"i know you are there Bradley, wake up. You are all i got now"
Mother to a son
Fino in Italia.... rock&roll .....
Circuit Scene so fire
fuck yes,i love atdi.this was one of their vinyls eh?
I just bought an original Western Breed pressing of this EP.
Kinda wonder what would've been if they kept this style.
FUCK YEAH
Take it like a man!!!
I love you @chiefmojobear
its inaccurate to call "picket fence cartel" a different version of "plastic memories" other than that cedric re-used the term "we all become what we most dislike in the picket fence cartel" which is a reference to having a stereptypical american family... neither song has anything else in common
True
@@chiefmojobear there are also live version of them playing other songs where jim and cedric use the term "we all become what we most dislike" that sound nothing alike. They just seemed attatched to that idea at the time. Very punk rock sentiment at the time
why the fuck these arent on spotify!?
why do you use spotify for music?
@@chiefmojobear lots of reasons. cheap, clean and organized.
Equator.
Ecuador
@@trymonths8882 Ecuador no equator
it still remains a mistery for me why this band took the name of a terrorist group of my country for this EP
They're the only communist swine band i really respect. Good damn musicians.
