Clouds - Instant Classic.
@Christian Herzog nah, tmv's version is the best.
@@frateroiram_5706 who plays the original one?
@@adrianb2232It’s by a band called Instant Classic.
"Clouds" is amazing. I miss The Mars Volta so much. I think I am ready to go back through their whole discography. It's time.
We got more coming!!!
ill join you in that magical adventure!
Song 4 is a demo of "El Vacio/Piojos Histericos" by Omar.
Song 5 is a demo of "Truth Blinds Us" by Omar.
Song 8 is a demo of "Un Mar Amargo/Metamorfosis" by Omar.
Song 11 is a demo of "Primitivo y Barbaro/Semillas de Hez" by Omar.
These songs are featured in the album "Arañas en la Sombra" released in 2016, with the exception of "Truth Blinds Us", which is from the album "Cell Phone Bikini", also released in 2016.
thanks entity
How do you know all that D:???
@@soemisayago7665 its on an omar album
Thanks for the info, do you happen to know if my horror is in Park please drive me away troubled heart from the live you’re welcome album is on a studio album?
@@Matt198d yep, it appears on Solo Extraño as "Horror (Original)" and on Nom de Guerre Cabal as "Riot Squid"
Amazing. Long live TMV. They'll be back. And if not, well, they gave us the most amazing music and I'm eternally greatful.
True
I couldn't agree more!
They're saving some for the children
Hell yeah. I also know that when/if they come back, it may not be the TMV we remember. But for that glimmer of time that they occupied it was some of the most amazing music I've ever experienced. And I'm so happy I got the chance to do so. The next evolution will be their new form, and I'll appreciate that too. But I don't know if much can compare to the feelings TMV gave me for like a solid 10 years.
If they come back I'll actually nut in every pair of underwear I own. I pray to every deity every night that it will happen
Thanks to whoever decided to "share this". I am a teary eyed fan who is really enjoying this. It's bitter sweet.
your cool by definition by listening to this.
Aha
there has to be an urban dictionary page that says that
Pipe Contreras Yeah, I know... Right?!?! That would be so gosh darn hilarious and just literally so crazy
thx goat
DEFINITELY Pridgen on Molochwalker demo, that "I got it I got it" is 100% him, and his 16" crash-hats are super easy to hear too.
@Jahmek Power No way. Pridgen was a great live drummer because of his timing and energy. But on the albums, he was terrible.
Pridgeon overdoes it imo. Jon Theodore was perfect for TMV.
...No he wasn't lmao. His live stuff was messy and loud, his album takes were fire. not to say he didnt do some insane shit live, but theres more than plenty of times he overplayed and lost time.@@TheAlibabatree
@@deadbeats4894 Right you are: Jon kills it, in the best way possible.
It's pretty cool to come back to this after listening to the finished versions of most of these in Omar's new album.
Which album?
Aranas en la Sombra, his latest solo release.
orlprojects.bandcamp.com/album/ara-as-en-la-sombra
The Vicarious Atonement demo is major because it finally reveals Omar's metronome method. He had every artist compose their pieces on their own and then combined them later. Always wondered how that worked.
Frank Zappa did this for recordings as well.
@@dalekay9ine and Mike Davis
he's said before that he records the band one at a time
@@phlagelum6312who tf is mike Davis 😂😂😂
it makes me wonder if he writes the guitar parts after the fact to fill in the blanks. I'd love to hear the tetragrammaton demo.
One of my very best friends turned me on to this band and I've been rocking out to them faithfully ever since . After years of regret for not have had the chance to see them perform live they came to the the Palladium in Hollywood and we got to finally experience them live !! F*****g awesome !!!! I love them !! Honestly one of the best times of my life.. !! Thankyou Mars VOLTA
Loved it!
Very jammy and when Cedric does come in he shines like the sun. Almost like Omar solo album yet distinctly Volta.
How bout that Vicarious Atonement Demo? Oh lord, Cedric's vocals I'm melting! XD
This band is so awesome! One if my favorite bands since I discovered them
Can’t understand why Clouds didn’t make it onto Noq. This is such a great song
Was just thinking this, I scroll down, and here it is. It's as good as anything else on there.
I don’t think it was ever finished and they didn’t have enough time to finish it. They were being pressed to release it by the record label and it was being delayed more and more due to things Cedric was going through. They probably picked out some of the songs they really wanted on the album. I know Cedric really wanted In Absentia on the album.
@@ExternusArmy In Absentia is great ,but yeah, it's weird Clouds was left out
@@ExternusArmy why_dont_we_have_both.gif
I always come back to Clouds. So good, so strange
they will reunite, trust me..
they really need to these guys are musical renegades
Phoenix Teezzz
Um they did..they made a new album duh!
Scott O
Antemasque 2014
yeah, thats just passing the time, the real group will be back.
Yeah I heard before the spilt Cedric was wanting to reunite the original line up with Ikey and Jon Theodore so I really hope that happens, Cedric told me this directly when i messaged him on twitter so its not just some rumor.
Simply unreal, even post reunion! Thank YOU!!!
Someone give Omar some love, what is this a Cedric Shrine lol
You guys are pretty funny
The intro for clouds is just fantastic!
It's all fantastic. Such a unique orchestration of harmonies.
So many beautiful nuggets here, thanks to the poster!
Even the shit they threw away was crazy-bad-ass. What hope for the rest of us...

Vicarious Atonement is SUCH a cool piece!
Benn a fan of cedric & omar since the atdi days and one of my favorite volta jams is vicarious atonement so i was absolutely blown away by how dope the simplicity of the demo version. Thank you for this!
ive been a huge mars volta fan since the beginning and was sad to hear of their disbandment...especially after the release of noctourniquet which is my favorite album of theirs. This is a gem you've posted! Thanks!
Some really good stuff here. To many details to list. Thanks for posting this.
The way this band make a remembrance of different ages of the history of music, make me a follower of this great artists.
This "album" was great I found this shortly after they broke up. It helped me accept the fact that they were done. I love "Clouds," "Postulate," and "Whisper to your Flinch/Peeling off."
Totally agree
They’re back:)
@@guitaoist oh I know brother😈😈😈
What do you think about them now that they’re back?! :)
@@hotfart Couldn't be happier. Saw them live. Got an autographed vinyl. Love the album
Amazing! I'm in clouds... Volta clouds, wherever they are... I'm there.
Thank you for this 🖤🖤🖤
Dude, thank you for this!!
had to replay the whole thing after the first time through, so damn good.
Beautiful, amazing, a million words could not describe the experience I have while listening to my brothers do their thing. ORALE !!
out of this world. they´re god.
thank you so, so much for this OP idk how you got this or what the story is but thank you soo, so much
They will always be my favorite band. Other's come and go in phases of my life but Volta always stays through it all...
Edit: 47:09 just wow.
Same here!
Great pieces of music by splendid talents... Appreciate for uploading this masterpiece...
I love hearing the metronome in the Vicarious demo
Thanks for posting brother!
Unbelievable drumwork on Clouds!
Yo....Maybe they didn't release this because of how awesome it is.
"As I sift through the air
in your mask mask of infinite bane."
Goosebumps all over my body!
Ohhh , I like this , I never heard this before , thanks to the uploader!
thank you for posting this, i am really sad about tmv's demise, i like omars solo stuff but i don't think anything will ever be as special as when omar and cedric work together.
"Everyone stabs...all the time, persuasion deflowers your sympathy....
everybody has chosen to help...the shovels that bury me"
this its the best album of all, even as a compilation of unrealesed songs. brillant!
I can see your point of view
The drummer here is fantastic
You´ll go to heaven!!! Thank you
Love the chorus on postulate
QUE BUENO, TANTOS INÉDITOS TAN BUENOS!!! QUE TALENTO ESTOS DOS!
awesome upload
f9h0 (Casate Colmillo (demo)) 26:35, can anyone else hear Tool influencing this one?
Dat bass
I love Cloud. My god, this song is amazing. Sounds like a perfect Octahedron fit. Why in the hell has it been left out?
I know right! It's my new theme music for sure
Clouds is brilliant absolutely! But this is post Octahedron for sure, sounds like Deantoni's drumming.
More of a Nocto song.
As long as Omar and Cedric are alive, chances are intact.
Thanks a bunch! :)
I don't know man. This sounds like to me that they were really starting to get back into the groove of what TMV was originally. Nocturniquet was a really good album but this comp of unreleased stuff just trumps over it in my opinion. All I can do is hope TMV reunites and continues this beautiful work.
I love the "Sea is rising"...!!¡ & dp...!!! ❤😎💋
Pretty cool, thanks!
damn this could be an album all on its own
ZMChamp It pretty much is, rite/
this is sick!!
This is so good
Killer find, sweet strangeness
The face I heal is peeling off
And underneath there's no one
Think of how great the demos would be with Cedric's vocals. That being said, TMV could've worked well as an instrumental group.
This is incomparable
It's always fun to hear your favorite bands dicking around in a studio. I wonder what the story behind how these songs got out.
I like cedric but this made me realize that they could perfectly do instrumental songs keeping the same quality.
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
And now they return!!!
Its so great it makes my cellphone speakers sound like a normal size radio tgis shit carries for days
amazing!
damn this has so many bangers raw af
God this is fantastic.
épicos como siempre *-*
I'm so sad that i was too young to actually like this band when they were actually around
they are about to drop a new album. so you are just as old as you should be.
@@All6usto i really hope they're still serious about that. it would complete my soul for them to drop a new album
2 weeks!
@@bugleaf9603 yo you made it!
@@HentaiMcToonboob right! i cannot believe it!
I absolutely love all
im thinking so! pretty sweet :)
what a treat :]
Those verses on Whisper To Your Flinch are insanely good. The chorus is a little lackluster and I can see why they didn’t include it. That being said, I’ll find the verses randomly getting stuck in my head.
Like an independent TMV album! Great!
Postulate is incredible!
Fuck I miss this band. Please get back together.
+Trayah H I think about it almost daily.. Really bums me out.
They back
+Dustin D
I totally agree with that. He could have invented so much more unique music. But eh what can you do but enjoy what he has. :) much love to Cedric tho!!
Damn, track 11 is freaking awesome. 0o
Magnífico.
que noche de veinte de abril para parar por acá. tiempo para darse una bocanada de the mars volta que tiene el toque para la india que me bebo y la flor del jardín. saludos desde Tijuana .
i have never heard vicarious atonement demo before. it's astonishing
You're my hero, Where have you been all my life?
Haven't even heard this but already know it the SHIT...........
f39h is fucking awesome
Instantly!!!
if you miss mars volta there is more than enough omar solo material (with and without cedric) for you to get your fix. Hell, there were 3 albums released in literally 4 days last new years day. I honestly don't understand how anyone who likes ATDI and TMV couldn't like Bosnian Rainbows unless you're just in it for the angst and aggression, which is not what BR is about. All I know is that I've put my faith in Omar and trust that whatever he is doing is the best shit ever and he never disappoints
wonderful :)
I just say that this is infinitely better than their released albums. It reminds me of Hypnos 69
Postulate and Clouds are fucking badass.
I remember working on my car in 13 while listening to mars. This came up on the youtube suggestion thing and my computer auto played it and it got me to stop and just stare into my ceiling. By this time mars had officially broke up and Antemasque was in the works, man I listened to this album a million times the first few weeks this is what I wanted their last album to be like.... i come back to this album as a send off between the mars I grew to love and the new ATDI i am still trying to figure out...
My ears just came all over my headphones.
Lol
Amazing orquesta
I'm crying
cmv8 (Sea Is Rising (demo)) the same riff was used on Antemasque music Providence I guess
yes yes and maybe even YES!
my god the best
ef4 is Truth blinds us
Hopefully in the future the mars volta will be a huge band including the works of flea, john fruscante, cedric omar and thomas pridgen. that would be amazinggggggggggggg.
