Whang WWF wrestlemania ending video • The Creepy, Insane, Ri...
Bret and Shawn took this so seriously because they knew to alot of people this would be their introduction to the WWF. This game is what got me watching wrestling around this time and all of my friends were obsessed with this game. Great stuff!
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it
The coolest thing about In Your House, I could take my saturn disc, put it in a CD player, and listen to wrestlers themes while playing with my rasslin toys
That's a good idea :-)
Hahaha I did the same thing.
Lol rasslin. I used to say it like that too lol
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries 9:40 Jajajajajajaja, Hi Patman, until now I realized that you had made a video about a video game that I loved in my childhood, you never cease to amaze us Patman, right now I am going to watch and enjoy this video, thanks once again PatmanQC.
This game (arcade version) looks awesome! I love the supernatural and comical additions to their moves. The shock buzzer really shocks!!!
I always enjoy the game even though wasn't a straight up wrestling title
I loved this damn game as a kid
So did I
Same! I really miss it!
Dude, I first saw this game at a gas station in St Louis. I was freaking out! It looked so good, and it had alot of good wrestlers.
It's amazing how good the graphics are considering it was 25 years ago
8 wrestlers were "lots" of Wrestlers?
I am also from saint Louis and saw this game in an arcade called the tilt
I remember hearing a rumor that you needed to beat world champion mode and intercontinental champion mode with each wrestler and then you could unlock Adam Bomb. One thing you didn't mention was the arcade game had rankings and a login like NBA Jam did. So, I spent hours at the arcade with my login trying to beat each mode with all the wrestlers, I remember being at the very last match and finishing it and just so let down he did not show up... I felt like I had failed 😞
It's been a rough day, but these videos make days like these so much better. I'm so proud to be a Patreon supporter of this wonderful channel!
That is very kind of you to say, glad I could help out in some small way
I just really enjoy Midway arcade games. They had a certain chaotic nature to their games that I don't think has ever truly been replicated. Whenever you throw some quarters into a midway arcade cabinet you're in for some pure sensory overload many modern games wish they could replicate! Even their sports games had a certain insanity to them!
Speaking of, I'd love to see a video on Smash TV in the near future. Also, I don't know if anyone remembers it but The Grid was an excellent multi-player game in the spirit of Smash TV and even had the announcer guy from it! I've only played it once ever and apparently it's almost impossible to emulate! sad...
I could not agree more. That's exactly how I feel
I saw this notification and immediately watched it one of my favorite games ever and the fact that Undertaker demanded Jack Daniels makes me love him even more he’s the Greatest big man ever and he’s still going 2 decades later
LOL, I've always read stories about him and Jack Daniels so I wasn't surprised when I read about his demands :-)
Childhood nostalgia in these dark times. I can sit back n relax, n think about the good old days watching this
Thanks, glad I could take your mind off of it for a little while at least
10 years old me loved this game. 90s, great time to be a kid.
WWF WrestleMnia: The Arcade Game needs to be remade under the name "WWE WrestleMania: The Arcade Game" with an updated roster, online play, downloadable content, no freeze-ups, a create-a-wrestler option, a create-a-move-set option and the ability to be compatible with arcade sticks.
That would be fantastic don't know if it's feasible though
I really enjoyed that game. The gameplay, combos and counter were amazing!
Absolutely, I always enjoy the game
Loved this game back in the day ! Played the hell out of it on Sega Saturn. Great video as always.
Thank you very much
If I'm not mistaken, the Saturn version is widely regarded as the best port.
If I remember it correctly this was one of the rare cabinets you could play with 4 people along with X Men and Simpsons Arcade.
Good times.
If Coronavirus makes me self isolate at least I’ll always have PatManQC to keep me entertained.
LOL, that's awesome of you To say :-)
PatmanQC your channel is great buddy. While I can’t support via pateron I watch every single video for sure.
An employee at my work went home sick this morning, with a sore throat, dizziness, and a fever. Pretty scary stuff, I bet that there's a lot more people with the virus, than only the ones tested, confirmed and reported about. They also shut down our local school district until further notice. This is Salt Lake City, Utah, btw, if you want to look it up.
Lol I've been living in isolation since 2016. Welcome to the show.
@Don Avan Nope
This is easily in my all time top 3 favorite games. I still play it to this day.
It's just sad Midway didn't continue this and I wish there were more wrestlers in the roster. Each character's unique move sets and styles make this so much fun.
Thank you for the video!
Yes I agree, I would've loved to seen a yearly update with different rosters. Thanks for watching
How do u play it
@@speedgoat7496 Fusion emulator on PC
I absolutely loved this game as a kid (Playstation)...it's just something about real actors like in this game/MK trilogy that I love so much. Graphics have come a long way but I still prefer this.
I always preferred the arcade game but the PlayStation was close
Thanks for doing these videos for us all!! Extremely awesome!!
Thank you very much, glad you liked it
Me and my cousin once played this game from 10pm until 6am when we were in our teens, we kept laughing all night long not knowing why it was so hilarious 😂 good times.
One of those games you can never forget. Thank you for doing this. All of your videos are Awesome. I have watched all of your video games histories
Fantastic, thank you very much for watching
Loved this game in the arcade! Imagine a new version of this? Man, how cool that would be!!
It would be fantastic considering the technological advances of the last 25 years

Another great video deep diving into what has progressively become a rather obscure entry in the pantheon of wrestling themed video games.
Excellent to enjoy with the morning coffee. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for the nice words. Glad you enjoyed the content so much :-)
This is one of my favorite arcade game of all times! Thanks for this amazing video about it Pat. Sal DiVita confirmed that Adam Bomb is in the game but sadly never divulged how to obtain it.
He has said in interviews that the character was nowhere near complete so it doesn't even pay to try to find it. I would still love to see the sprites for it though
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Exactly. Just to see him throw some punch or kick would be amazing.

You do a great job on these videos. Very thorough. To be honest, I had forgotten about this game completely, but didn't play it much in the arcade or on Playstation, so it makes some sense that it had faded into the ether.
Thank you very much, what I do enjoy the content
Another brilliantly written and produced video. The best gamin channel by far!
That is very nice of you to say, I'm honored that you enjoy my content so much
Just love arcade games and your channel for all the best arcade reviews and to see what the cabinets for the games look like if people haven't see them or found them in arcade seaside resorts or if you'll lucky enough to have a local arcade place.
Thank you very much, I appreciate the nice words. I always try to show the cabinets so people know what to look for :-) thanks again
I always suffer from a rather sad twinge when I watch 80s and 90s era wrestling content, due to the fact so many of my childhood heroes never made it to my age 😔
They really did put everything on the line to entertain us, and sadly the industry chewed them up and spat them out.
Anyway, to be less maudlin, may I just congratulate Patman on yet another damn fine retrospective!
Oooooh Yeaaaaaah!!!!
I agree, you look at a game like wrestlefest were half the roster are gone. Thank you for the nice words, glad you enjoyed it
Listening to Crime In Sports about the wrestlers is heartbreaking.
The attitude Era was the shit!
Great job on the hard to find 'behind the scenes' footage from WAY back then. Cool!
Thank you very much :-)

I’ve been obsessed with this game lately. It’s great!
Great video! I loved this game. I remember playing it in the arcade and picking it up on PS1(I think, I know I rented it a few times at least) . It was one of the first games I bought when i got back into PS1 collecting around 2010-11. The I stumbled upon In Your House at a local Disc Replay for like 5 bucks CIB so I picked it up. Yeah, its flawed, but I did enjoy the kinda oddball roster. Gotta love that they put "The Hart Dungeon" as a level.
Thank you very much :-)
another great video patmanqc . providing videos i didnt know i needed
That's excellent, nice of you to say thanks
I got to meet Mark Turmell back in 2016. He also mentioned that Mr. Fuji was a hardcore drinker and could legit drink the entire crew (and the wrestlers, including Yoko!) under the table. He also said that Luger did his job as he was supposed to, but was the most arrogant, self important person he'd ever met.
I can believe that about Lex Luger but maybe he was just staying in character? Maybe not though because at the time he was not known as the narcissist but all American. Thanks for the info
Pat, I’m so glad you covered this game! It doesn’t get the love it should it the wrestling game community. I must have played a week’s worth of hours on this game. While Wrestlefest remains my favorite wrestling arcade game, I loved the speed and silliness of this one. Glad you mentioned the Icon, Sal Davita too! These games informed my artwork in a really powerful way and everytime I draw a wrestling ring, I pull from my visual mental index of video games for reference.
That is awesome, glad you enjoyed the video so much thank you
When I worked as an arcade tech at Chuck E Cheese's, we got this game straight from the factory. The game is the reason The Undertaker is and always will be my favorite wrestler. I was the only one that knew how to do Taker's full chain combo and his fatality.
That''s awesome
I just discovered this channel and subscribed. You, sir, are incredible. Great information. You speak clearly without any of that god awful vocal fry nonsense. This channel is great and takes me down memory lane!!!.
That's very nice of you to say. I'm glad you enjoy the content so much. Thanks again :-)
This was the precursor to the In Your House game. It was an insane game with fatalities and stuff. It was nuts.
I loved these games. They were so over the top with the combos and the graphics.
Yes, I talk about this at length in my video
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries
Yeah I commented before it got there lol.
thanks for sharing PatmanQC - History of arcade game documentaries
You bet!
Probably one of my favorite wrestling games of all time
This is hilarious. Just last night I was watching some replay vids of this game and idly wondered to myself if you might cover it someday, and lo and behold, here it is. And as always, you did an awesome job with the vid. Not one of my most-played games, but it was always a good one to just drop a few quarters into it and have some fun seeing how far I could get.
“Quiet pjw, I’m trying to watch this!”
Sorry Jerry. Carry on!
LOL, I had to be really good at this game being able to beat it on the most difficult level with only one $0.25.
. Thanks for the nice words, glad you enjoyed it
"A crackhead to a crackpipe!?" You and your warped sense of humor keeps me wondering what will you say next.
LOL, thank you very much :-)
YES! Great upload, LOVE this arcade game! 🤘
Thank you so much. Hope you enjoyed it
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries i did! Crazy about Adam Bomb and Mr.Perfect not being in the game.
I loved the secret moves the flaming piledriver with Razor, the super chokeslam with Taker, and all the combo slams that Bret Hart would do lol
Yes, I really enjoyed the game
years of playing the arcade never knew there was secret moves lol
This already my favorite episode
Thank you very much :-)
"Just like a crack pipe"
That comment killed me
💀💀💀💀💀
LOL, thank you :-)
Well he ain’t lying lol
One of my all time favorite Wrestling games!
Mine as well
im suprised they actually did a good job on most of the conversions
They did except for the super Nintendo which were missing a couple of characters
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries and slow as hell
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries That's par the course for the Super NES.
People rag on the Sega Genesis for having bad audio and generally muddier, darker graphics but the Super NES had a slower CPU and greater tendencies towards slowdown. The audio wasn't always better on SNES, either. Audio samples were limited by cartridge size constraints and the samples could be tinny if they were compressed too much. Out of all the console systems I've owned, I think the Super NES had the worst slowdown issues.
There were also quite a few games that had to be scaled down on Super NES because of memory/sprite issues. The Super NES version of Samurai Shodown reduced the character sprites by over 50% and took out the scaling effect altogether I remember correctly. It was still better than the Sega Genesis which lost a character altogether but wow were the graphics small on the SNES port!
This is coming from a guy who generally appreciated the Super NES more than the Sega Genesis! There were still entire categories of games that played better on the Sega Genesis for CPU performance reasons (sports games, side-scrolling shooters) and the odd dual-platform game (Earthworm Jim) that was better on the Sega Genesis. I liked most arcade game conversions better on the Super NES for the better audio and color reproduction but even those weren't 100% better knowing the SNES had 16-bit audio and a wider color palette. There an even better 16-bit console out there (the SNK Neo Geo AES) but it was so expensive and focused almost solely on arcade parts from the arcade version, the Neo Geo MVS. I like fighting games, personally, but wouldn't buy a system solely for fighting games. I like variety!
Another great video keep them coming I love my favorite wrestling arcade game was the one with big boss man and demolition
Thank you,, that would be wrestlefest which I've already done a video on. Enjoy
Wow! I read your Gamefaqs review back in the day!
Hope you enjoyed it!
of course bret heart and shawn michaels were awesome.
we all knew that was going to be the case :)
i still remember watching wrestling in the 90s. it was a different time.
it was also a lot better than it was post 90s.
Absolutely
People rag on the New Generation way too much, and forgive the Attitude Era for its goofy shit. I loved watching in 93-94-95. Razor was my dude. That first Ladder match blew my mind. My buddy had a charter box so we watched all the PPVs over at his place, also watched Raw every Monday night.
I gotta say, I don't usually care much for digitized graphics, but I think this actually looks really good. It seems a lot faster than in other games that use that style of sprites, and the more over-the-top animations/sprite manipulation really help sell everything better.
I also like fighting games much more than "straight" pro-wrestling games (or whatever nonsense 2K considers a "simulation" that they've turned the WWE games into now), so I'm super interested in any games that seek to make them more like fighting games. Games like Def Jam Fight for NY, WWE Brawl, Saturday Night Slam Masters, etc. are my jam. I totally ignored this when this came out since I wasn't a fan of wrestling until the Attitude era a little later, but I think I have to hunt down the PSX port for my retro collection now!
The animation is really smooth and the character models are well defined. They look terrible in my opinion in the in your house game but again that wasn't done by midway. Glad you enjoyed the video
Oh, man. That NBA Jam cabinet brings back memories of 7-11. I hated basketball, but I played the hell out of NBA Jam. It was fun.
I like going out and shooting hoops but did like actually playing an actual game of basketball. I loved NBA jam though
Great video:) I have this pcb, it's such a great game, thanks for the info and the review. Btw this pcb can be converted to UMK3 by the way of a rom swap.
I didn't know that, thanks for the tip
Thanks patmanqc for the great work!!
Thank you very much :-)
I'm still butt-hurt about In Your House. I loved the arcade game, but IYH was a complete dumpster fire!
Looking back on it now I agree it's not very good but apparently I enjoyed it as a kid :-)
I know the feeling... I remember being so excited for In Your House and even went to my local video game store to buy it the day it came out... If I am not mistaken the very first Tomb Raider for PlayStation also came out because I remember holding it in my hand and thinking, this game looks interesting, if we only knew then how that game exploded.
Anyway, In Your House basically went backwards in every day, the movements, the moves, the commentary, everything just didn't work. The roster was great but the gameplay and those stupid specific backgrounds made the game completely unbearable. I remember playing it the first day I got it and just knowing it wasn't good but didn't want to admit it, but i remember the next day, just playing wrestlermania again and left in your house on the shelf. I wish Midway would have done in your house instead of Akklaim.
6:43 memorable intro
It sure was which is why I had to put it in the video :-)
I remember playing this on ps1. It was my very first ps1 game along with parappa the rapper. Wrestlemania was ahead of its time in my opinion.
I definitely remember playing this game WWF WrestleMania the arcade game and having it for my home console I also still have for the Sega Saturn WWF in your house they were weird wrestling games I definitely felt like it was Mortal Kombat but in a wrestling ring and of course with the wrestlers.
That's exactly what it felt like to me as well
The PC version was the first i knew and played. I played it very intensively alone and against a friend of mine. I always took Bret Hart and my buddy took Sean Michaels.
Many years later i noticed there is an arcade version, via MAME. The MAME version is now my favorite. It is quite harder and more colorful.
I always enjoyed the PC version as well but you can't top the arcade game :-)
Great episode, ya ham & egger! :)
Thanks you pencil neck geek :-)
Please do fire pro wrestling! I love your narration and videos. Thanks for all your hard work!
I will get to it eventually. Thanks for the nice words
Watching this video from Quarantine in Quebec, Canada.
MarquisDeSang Speaking of Quarantine. Word has it There May be no Wrestlemania this Year, Due to the Corona Virus.

Good hand hygiene and catching those coughs and sneezes in a handkerchief is key!
Great excuse for catching up on YT and boxsets though 😁
Well that sucks. Thanks for watching Though
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries The only part that suck is that I could possibly be infected, and in Quebec they only test 40 persons per day. On the good side I will work from home for the next months and play SOLO boardgames and videogames. I am lucky I live in a very remote location alone.

I’m surprised that they didn’t use a cart or something to move Yokozuna to the back of the facility.
As far as Razor and Doink goes, it doesn’t surprise me they were tough to work with due to their personal demons.
And of course Bret & Shawn were good to work with they were on top of the card at that time and didn’t want backlash.
Personally I would’ve love to seen Mr. Perfect (one of my faves) and Adam Bomb in the game.
That was my first thought, why didn't they have a card or something to take them back.
I agree with all of your points 1000%
@@petef9042 Yes that's what I meant, my voice to text mode doesn't work that well sometimes
Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels are absolute professionals and want to help the business as much as they can. They were both carrying the company at the time.
Mortal Kombat and pro wrestling 2 of my favorite things growing up. 👍🏻
In my opinion the best wrestling game of all time. It was one of the first games I bought for Playstation and I used to play it for hours with friends.
In my opinion it's more of a fighting game with a little bit of wrestling thrown in. I so prefer wrestlefest or the N64 games like no mercy but this is still fun to play as well
This game was fun back in the day.
It sure was
I was a fan of Kevin Nash back in the day and he is certainly a fan of himself. As a kid I found diesel to be a snore. Did Nash ever draw money? I found Hall to be the more compelling character of the outsiders. He played second fiddle to Michaels. Solo he was just vanilla imo.
Rumor has it that diesel was a lowest drawing champion in history. When he went to WCW as Kevin Nash it was like somebody turned a charisma switch on and he became too cool for school.

Used to bug the hell out of me that the PS1 version didn't have in game music, to the point I genuinely thought there was something wrong with my disc.
Also, one weird thing about the roster, Doink had never had a Wrestlemania match when the game was released, and wouldn't for the next two wrestlemanias either.
But you've done three of the four WWF arcade games now, will you complete the set? :D
I've already had requests for Royal rumble but that Won't be for a while.
Doink had a Wrestlemania match at WM9 against Crush before the game came out. Though he was Heel at the time.
And a weird Tag match with Bam Bam Bigelow at WM10 I believe.
@@unforgivenwrestlemaniac favorite doink moment was the survivors series of doink vs lawyer 😂
That Undertaker combo was the only combo I learned on this 😂😂😂 this was a great game. They should definitely think about doing one like this now
The only one I ever learned was Shawn Michaels combo, I agreed they should redo it
Me and my cousins used to practice on big combos. I could do one with every character. Good memories lots of fun.

@@MrCalverino Yess! I kept repeating it!😂😂😂
I always loved the game, I played it in the arcade, and I would always rent it for Super Nintendo.. I just remember always thinking how much better the game would have been if there was a bigger roster of wrestlers. It makes sense about the Steiners because they had left. It makes zero sense that they would leave out Adam Bomb, and you could definitely imagine Mr Perfect no showing cause he believed it was childish, but there were other guys that easily could have been in this game! Tatanka, Owen Hart, 123 Kid, Hacksaw Jim Duggan (OG from the original games)
Kudos to you my friend. It seems that you actually lived that time and now have a lot of knowledge to pass! I myself was 14~17years back in 1994~1998 and have few things to pass to the people here and I guess I already did the majority I could. I will still be here waiting for the latest news as long as my poor health allows me to.
I got the genesis one and I hear the king in mine

Razor's 24 hit combo was the best.
In my memories , my PlayStation version was very similar to the arcade version but nope ! Great video man
The PlayStation was very similar just not quite arcade perfect
I was thinking if Brett had his fatality, Jim the Anvil would slide in the ring, hold the opponent to do their foundation finisher.
I was a WWE/WWF fan from Wrestle Mania IV but jumped off the bandwagon after The Rock's era around 2005 - 2006 ish.
Loved this game, always looked forward to the Cinema complex arcade where they had this. Sometimes I would go with my friends to the complex but don't watch a movie just to play this and Time Crisis.
Yet that would have been really cool if that finisher was in there
That's it right there! I played this in the arcade! This is still a classic
Absolutely
I was first in my arcade to learn the combo system, made me legend.
Awesome, good job
