after repair with thread chaser do we need to put helicoil spring to make the thread stronger ? is it it enought once you used this chaser ?

If you rethread from the back I think you need a left hand tap.. might make a better job if you have sufficient access 😊

I have the same problem. How do I make sure the tap will cut the new threads and line up with the undamaged ones? I want to run the tap (or chaser) from behind. But it seems I have to disassemble a lot to gain access from the rear of the hub. Any thoughts or advice?

although this is an old thread 😊 I think you need a left hand thread chaser if doing it from behind.. let us know how it worked out 😊
