When I was in elementary school. Around 3rd grade. My school was only a few blocks from the twin towers. (Chambers street Tribeca NYC) well the planes hit during 1st period. 9AM, and under neath our school was the burning towers. The people jumping out. And the sounds of the jet engines before the impact. All above our little school. All of it happened right before my eyes. Family and friends died. And since that day I live with the trauma. Well to make a long story short. I felt it nevcesaery to tell you being a fellow sufferer of ptsd. And fan. That we share the same pain. All be it from different things. And it’s true what you say I hardly remember that old America. 8 years old and covered in the ashes. All I remember after was fear and talks of war on the news and today here I am. Much love bro. Great video.
I lost my Uncle on the day of 9/11. He was a first responding firefighter and died when the North Tower collapsed. I miss him so much, and this video has made me realize how much we have come together and how strong we can be as a Nation. You admire me Boogie and you are one respectful man.(:
I was two years old when 9/11 happened. Too young to remember however but I heard my parents and grandparents perspectives. My mom (RIP) was taking care of me when she heard of it through my aunt and she watched it. And my dad watched it at work on tv. My grandmother’s perspective affected me forever until the day I die. She heard it from my aunt through the phone and just like boogie here my grandma turned on the tv to the news channel. And just the seconds after she did, she saw the second plane hit the south tower live. I will never imagine the horrors of that day. I honestly don’t ever want to feel those feelings. the scary part is when he was talking about “we buried him on September the 6th” we think “oh my that’s close to 9/11” but to them that was literally a normal day that no one expected to have a terrorist attack 5 days after.

boogie my memory of 9/11. I was only a 1 year old . this was when i was laying down with my mom watching tv and i seen all of it i was crying alot . i did not know what was going on . i remember seeing the buildings coming down and my grandpa worked for the pentagon luckily he was at the dentist while it happened . i am so thankful that i still have my grandpa still today . if anyone is watching this in 2020 my heart goes out to the men and woman that fight for our country to keep us safe .
Stephen, I will say that first hand I saw the horror of 9-11, I was a state of New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician, I was involved with one of the largest mass triage in history, we set up at the tip of liberty state park, the images I saw and the things I had to deal with going to the pile will live with me for ever..
My Dad told me a story of where he was on 9/11. My family was in Jersey City at the time and my mom was dropping my brother off to school. My dad was going to the path train to go to work. So while on the train, he saw the first tower on fire. he couldn't believe what he was looking out of the windows. Him and other people watched as the second plane ran into the second tower. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. So they got off at Newark Penn Station and everything was free that day. My dad and his co workers walked to work and watched on live television as the towers came down. They were angry and one guy was yelling and cursing. They were in disbelief. So as soon as the 2nd plane hit, they evacuated my brother's school and he went home early. The other kids were scared but he wasn't for some reason. and 2002, i was born and lived in Jersey City until 2005. So that's my family's story of 9/11.
I was in 4th grade when 9/11 happened. Absolutely terrifying. They sent us kids home immediately. I remember when we sat down in our desks, the principal announced through the intercom to turn on our classroom TVs immediately. I’ll never forget watching one of the planes crashing into the towers.
I watched "Tommy Boy" with my fiance last week...and it got to the part where they sneak onto the plane dressed as flight attendants and I immediately thought "Try that shit now and you would vanish...forever." Ahhhh Pre-9/11 America...may she rest in peace.
I had a friend die in the attack. Remember when you saw the 2nd plane hit? It hit her office. As a result, I wasn't heartbroken when it happened. I wasnt upset, or sad, or angry. The best way to sum up my reaction for about three days after that was "Huh. Well, fuck." That was the amount of time it took for me to accept that no, she's probably not alive. But you know, people talk about feeling patriotic and such afterwards. I didn't. I didn't love the country. For the first time, I hated the country I lived in. Because you see, i'm a pacifist. I cannot hurt other people, and would not in any situation. Its just who I am. And to see people using the memory of my dead friend to justify war sickened me. Our response to violence was more violence. As if that ever solved anything. Really, it almost always makes things much worse (see: the middle east today.) And I admit, I did in some way want revenge. But I also knew that compromising my beliefs was something my friend would never have wanted me to do. After that I developed post traumatic stress disorder. Because like I said, every time you saw that clip, you saw my friend die. and I saw it so many times. Im better now. It's been so long, I've moved on. Though people leave me alone on the anniversary, as per my request. I give myself one day a year to be upset about it. What a miserable fucking situation.
I am sorry for your loss. I lost many friends and colleagues that day. I will say that we do need to protect ourselves better. Even a pacifist can see how important it is to keep terrorists and criminals out of this country. I am no fan of Donald Trump, but I must admit that the idea of strengthening our borders is so self-evident I cannot understand how anyone would be against it.
etherraichu To sum it up youre pretty much saying ''Hur hur, lets stop the fight against terrorism so earth can turn into a living hell just because my friend died hur hur.''
Boogie Just wanted to say thank you for uploading videos..I don't care how this sounds but boogie is like a online dad to me since I never had a farther I always look to this man for inspiration. Please thumbs this up so he can see... THANK YOU Boogie.
Henry Jackson america has fucked around in the middle east since 1954 and the cue we staged on a democratic government in iran, then after that the soviets occupied afganistan, at this point we're just another occupying force ecept we have drones and mercs, something like 90% of the iraqi population doesn't even know what 9/11 is
Henry Jackson and the whole reason we are in the middle east is oil money hell we only fought saddam after he went for the kurdish territory, the oil rich territory in the north of iraq, before that we gave him weapons and money, the policy of this country has been controlled by money for hundreds of years
Ezra matson-ford Yep. Pretty much. Ever wonder why ISIS and Al-Queda are so well equipped? We gave them the weapons xD Still, RIP to all that died and suffered because of 9/11, yes that includes the hundreds of thousands of people killed by drone strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq.
+Ezra matson-ford saddam hussein was largley deposed because of trading oil in euros... similarly Qadafi was intending on using gold...killed for the sake of the petro-dollar.
Remember the day it happened, both parents left work and picked me up from Pre-school. Even back then at 4 years old, I knew something very bad was happening, just didn't understand it completely at the time due to age.
I was 9 in 2001, and all i remember about 9-11 was that the only thing on TV was news coverage of the incident. I was pretty pissed off, but just because i couldnt watch my favorite tv shows.
oh and real-talk here....i was pushing 22 years old at the time of 9/11 and omg....im sort of an empath here...and when those 2 planes hit those towers..i felt a wave of pain and sadness coming westward and i woke up in a cold sweat screaming....and told my mom to turn on the TV...i was crying -.- so hard i lost 8 friends to this fucking trajedy
Hey Boogie I just want to say that I admire your openness and fearlessness when it comes to speaking your mind. I wish I had the guts but I choose to speak my mind through music. My mom also passed close to the 9/11 attack so I sympathize with you. Just remember that your pops may have passed but he didn't have to see that horrible tragedy so that is a huge blessing. Keep on doin what you do man and keep on staying positive!
Before anyone reads this, I'm not trying to be disrespectful at all, so keep that in mind if you're planning on replying lol Aesthetically, I love this land. I love a lot of the people here, and I love the cultural diversity that flourishes here. But I'm ashamed of our government, and a lot of the history that our schools "protect" us from, growing up. Personally, I'm a libertarian, so you can probably guess where I stand on a lot of political topics lol. As far as where our country stands post 9/11, it's hard to say if things will ever be the same again, or if they should be. Economically, we were sound, but there's been corruption and a widespread sense of creeping paranoia latching itself on and off of the public for quite some time. It seemingly tends to come in waves. Of course, it's probably the worst it's ever been at this point in time - unnecessary paranoia is at an all time high, along ethnic insensitivity. Since 2001-2, empathy itself, seems rare. Overall, I think the government has this ridiculous tendency to get the people on board with an idea, use the approval of the people to further a private agenda, and then make the people pay for it in some way shape or form. And I'm not necessarily saying that's what happened on 9/11, but I think we can all agree that the way the federal government explained it is complete horse shit lol. I've always been the type of person who questions everything, and tries to find a more reputable or sensical answer. Obviously, though, I have nothing but respect for those who died righteously for, and as a result of, that date, though I wish it'd never happened. As far as military actions go - I personally believe we've committed some heinous crimes, and a lot of innocent people have died, though, I don't think a lot of those who've signed up for war did it to be evil people. War, itself, is evil. Acts of terrorism are evil. None of it should have happened, and even though I totally sympathize with those lives lost and all the people who felt they did what they felt needed to be done, I don't think acting out of passion excuses a lot of the injustices we've committed as a nation acting out of fear and retaliation. As always, great video - I especially love your story time stuff, and I can't wait to hear more of your history with gaming in general, or just more about your personal life. Stay passionate, man! I'm always rooting for you.
How could I forget? It was my 4th birthday. I spent the day listening to my mom cry and watching the footage over and over again. I got chicken pox that day too.
Because everyone jokes about Hiroshima in the first place. Besides, Japan provoked the U.S. and got what they deserved. Al Qaeda committed a hate crime.
Well you should give a fuck. Terrorism affects us all. It's horrible to see so many of your fellow humans cruelly taken away. It devalues humanity and highlights the evil we are capable of. I'm also from the UK.
Its funny, I was born in March of 2002. But yet I still watch the documentaries and personal footage of the attacks like I was a physical witness to those attacks.
I don't think your videos are sad they just shine light on many facts and truths that people turn a blind eye to, keep making them and I'll keep watching
I was like I guess 4 years when 9/11 happened, 11 days before my birthday on 9/22, and I really don't remember anything from that fateful day. In fact I don't remember a whole lot about my child, but I will say this, I feel really bad for all the people who lost their lives that day, and the families that dealt w/ the lost of loved ones. And I hope they have found some sort of peace 12 1/2 years later!
I’ll never forget that day just like many. Even though I live on the opposite side of the country in Las Vegas. I’m around 3 years younger than boogie so i was an adult pretty much and was with my girlfriend now wife and it was so early cause of the time difference. It was 6 am here and I just went to bed cause I worked grave at the time. All I remember was my girlfriend screaming. I’ll never forget what I seen on that tv that day.
Boogie. Appriciate the heads up in regards to the nature of this video. Im one of those who find these a bit depressing so I choose to just wait for the next one. I spent most of yesterday watching the 9/11 coverage. Ill stick around to hear ur thoughts in this vid but just wanted to thank ya for the heads up.
I am glad you opened with this the way that you did Boogie because it is annoying how a lot of Americans seem to think 9/11 is the worst thing to happen in the world. It is definitely a tragedy and something Americans have a right to pay respect to and remember but worse things have happened. Here in Britain we pay respect to the victims of the 7th July bombings in London (how many Americans even know about that?), but that doesn't even compare to the events of WW2 for example.
you are an inspiration. I may not watch all of your videos of Francis or your more funny ones but the videos where you talk about your life are really interesting and inspirational.
I'm 26. I was a freshman in highschool when it happened. I've been watching everything fall apart my entire life. I can remember when it was legal to protest. I can remember when it was legal-ish to speak ill of our government. When it took warrants to wiretap. When we didn't have a war that will never end. Why can't we accept that we cannot control everything and that bad people will do bad things regardless of how many times you make the same thing illegal!?
Thankfully that paradigm seems to be melting away with the help of the internet and international travel. I love becoming a part of the world with everyone no matter where they are. The world is becoming a better place little by little :)
i was in school, and it was terrifying, people going apeshit and crying, and hiding in bathrooms and screaming for their families. Consider yourself lucky, seriously, I almost lost my father.
I was 16 when it happened, and like you, I had my own problems. I won't get into them, but I'll never forget that morning. I was in an ecology class and we had gone outside to do something. We came back in and the tv was on. I just saw a bunch of smoke and I wondered who had turned the tv on for some forest fire or something. Then I got closer and realized what was going on. Then a few minutes later, I watched the second plane hit. Life was never the same for us in the U.S. after that. SMH
im english and i remember what i was doing that day.. was a sad day and shocking even for us brits..R.I.P all the innocent people of 9/11 and the wars it caused afterwards..
You're right about looking at both sides, you're probably the first whom I've heard say that. But I believe they deserve SOME props because they AT the very LEAST care about these kind of things. I prefer having these people over the people that care more about their iphones and what's on the radio.
You seem like such a good guy mate, what you said genuinely saddened me, but made me realise that you are such a strong, honest person. Will always love your videos and I know respect you a lot as a person.
I've always been a history nerd, haven't failed a history test since 3rd grade. Me and my dad both like it and we always watch things like the history channel and read history books. Everyone calls me a nerd for knowing history, but I always reply with "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
I remember that day also. I was 7 years old (I'm also from Europe) and when it all happened I was in school. Later that day I watched it on TV how planes hit a building for no reason. For me back then it was confusing and now when I'm 18 i did a lot of research about 9/11 and I'm even more confused than back then. That day people weren't allowed to decide either to live or die, it was taken from them by force
Boogie, you jogged my memory! I was 4 years old before that stuff happened, and I really enjoyed the years before. The vibes felt really good. I remember being in my mom's white Nissan, listening to that old "Proud To Be An American" country song. Then, after the events I remember the vibe of unity, with the song "Have You Forgotten?" (I know, my mom's music is crappy). Although I did not understand it, I could feel it. It was not sad for me, but happy. Of course, now that I understand i
22 from Romania , I remember 9/11 2001 pretty vividly , I was outside as usual and I remember it was raining and I was pretty pissed none of my friends were out, so I went inside the house and the TV was on, it was the news covering this story. I didn't really think much about it tho, i was 11.
I think I was 4 years old when 9/11 happened. It highly effected me. Apparently, in the month following it, I would draw pictures of what I saw. And I cried. I'm not sure if it's possible to be depressed at 4, but I was. I was always sad and I
Not only was 9/11 the deadliest terrorist attack in the civilized world, it also caused a war that is still going on today, in 2018. It is still taking the lives of our great American soldiers. Long live the greatest democracy to see this Earth, and may we get through this difficult time in our history.
Think of it the 9/11 attacks somewhat resemble the pearl harbor attack. Afterwards america's pride was awoken and we thrust ourselves into war and patriotism was extremely high. The difference is with the 9/11 incidents we've lost that drive and thrown ourselves into a deep recession rather than the 50's golden age height of america that resulted from WWII. Let's bring back that sort of patriotism and innovation that our parents, grandparents and great grandparents had. -Nick
To be honest, my first video of you that I saw, I thought that you were a fat nerd who had no life. But then I watched your video on what its like to be broke. I was so wrong about you and I felt like crap thinking that you were a nerd. Your videos almost brought me to tears and for me personally, that doesn't happen, ever. I feel so touched by your videos and I respect that you have so much confidence in your opinions. Great job man.
i remember in middle school sitting in my wood shop class watching the second plane hit on the tv watching ppl jump out of the building very sad and horrifying thing to see
I'm 15 years old and I can barely remember what happened on the day of 9/11. I was a kindergartner at the time, but I know I was home sick for the day.
My family and I just wanted you to know you are an inspiration to us. Well mostly me. I may tell you more in the future if I continue with this youtube stuff
My school was a block away. Everyone ran out panicking. Wind was so strong my feet was off the ground as if I was flying and slammed into a building. I was 9...
Im 16, and I do remember that day. My mom actually made me and my brothers watch the TV all day! i was actually mad because i couldn't go to school. I can still see the image of the Towers and smoke. and later in the day, no towers......
i will never forget that day i was in los angeles and i could not sleep so i got up at 3:45 am and started watching tv and than the news hit that a plane slammed into the wtc. i called up my cousin in new york and woke her up and told her i thought it was a terrorist attack before the second plane hit. since that day i have been to ground zero 7 times to pay my respects
Hey now i don't feel so strange i was horrifically fascinated by these terror attacks, just for the simple fact of who had the capacity to cause this much damage in such a small window of three hours give or take
My dad worked on the 40th floor of the 1st tower... I thank God that he had the day off. If he had to work that day, I dont know if he would be with us today.
you don't believe in God yet you say all sorts of wonderful things. you are a great person Boogie and i think that God has given you a great gift to touch peoples hearts.
Boogie, you warm my heart... and my brain, don't worry about these videos being sad - they're both touching and inspirational. Also after seeing a single page of comments on this video, I fully understand if you never see this due to having already given up reading this endless stream of bullshit.
Not saying it's bad in this context, but I noticed the very skillful vague rhetorics there that don't make any statement that could be clearly opposed/criticized. Let me add my own game: The evidence for what happened on 9/11 is now as clear as the evidence for anthropogenic global warming.
Boogie is legit a great guy.
Was a great guy
Anthony B still is
Boogie is still a great guy
That’ll change.

Boogie
Just wanted to say thank you for uploading videos..I don't care how this sounds but boogie is like a online dad to me since I never had a farther I always look to this man for inspiration.
Please thumbs this up so he can see...
THANK YOU Boogie.
Tower 7, Jet Fuel can't melt steel beams.
Seriously though, i'm British but RIP to all of the people that suffered on that day.
We gave them the weapons xD
Still, RIP to all that died and suffered because of 9/11, yes that includes the hundreds of thousands of people killed by drone strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Henry Jackson same with the cartels
+Ezra matson-ford saddam hussein was largley deposed because of trading oil in euros... similarly Qadafi was intending on using gold...killed for the sake of the petro-dollar.
Remember the day it happened, both parents left work and picked me up from Pre-school. Even back then at 4 years old, I knew something very bad was happening, just didn't understand it completely at the time due to age.
I was 9 in 2001, and all i remember about 9-11 was that the only thing on TV was news coverage of the incident. I was pretty pissed off, but just because i couldnt watch my favorite tv shows.
same story here.
when i was in 5-6th grade there was a girl who was born on the same date as 9-11-1990
I Couldn't Watch Dragon Ball Z Because of The 9/11 Bullshit And I was Pissed OFF Too.
9 in 2001? So you were 17 when I was born.
I miss this boogie.
Rip to these people who lost their lives that day God bless America
oh and real-talk here....i was pushing 22 years old at the time of 9/11 and omg....im sort of an empath here...and when those 2 planes hit those towers..i felt a wave of pain and sadness coming westward and i woke up in a cold sweat screaming....and told my mom to turn on the TV...i was crying -.- so hard i lost 8 friends to this fucking trajedy
Boogie29/11
FedoraMcSpaghetti-Hands I am the thirteenth, yay!
+TheReviewer me too yay!
Sorry 2001 was such a bad year for you. It was a great year for me, though. Strange how one can see the same thing differently.
your father would be proud of you and how far you have come in life. U are a inspiration to many people
Before anyone reads this, I'm not trying to be disrespectful at all, so keep that in mind if you're planning on replying lol
Aesthetically, I love this land.
9 out of 11 people believe it was an inside job
F u don't make fun of it
Riono Boy916 He isn't making fun of it.
Wow thousands of innocent lives gone and you are making a joke?
He can make a joke if he wants to. He is allowed to.
Slick I went to youre channel and its full of dead memes
It's horrible how it takes tragedies like this to briefly bring us together.
My uncle died in the attack
+Tyler Ellis lol
+Tyler Ellis very sad way to die. yes it was an inside job
I love your stories and listening to them just lifts my mood within a few minutes whether it be sad or happy. Im glad you share them.
Heres some wake up call.
USA: Nukes Hiroshima - gets butt hurt over 9/11 jokes.
Because everyone jokes about Hiroshima in the first place. Besides, Japan provoked the U.S. and got what they deserved. Al Qaeda committed a hate crime.
Infinite Ike If the US got what they deserved for the countries they provoke it wouldn't exist anymore.
Rui Ataide If you say so... 😕
Infinite Ike I do believe Trump will make things bettwr though
Rui Ataide At this point, as long as he's the president he has to.
Hearing him talk about the way the country was and what it was becoming these words are so true even today
Fucks given 0 cos im from to UK (Scotland NOT England)
Well you should give a fuck. Terrorism affects us all. It's horrible to see so many of your fellow humans cruelly taken away. It devalues humanity and highlights the evil we are capable of. I'm also from the UK.
Still, that's no reason not to care, I live in America and it's terrible thinking about the events of Heroshiema.
Michael Desanta whats even more horrendous is how you spelt it.
What the fuck did america do?
your just mad our military is the best in the world and btw they weren't innocent.
Boogie you are an inspiration, seeing you today with all your successes make me strive for more in my life. Thank you.
Shit/11
Rest in peace to those that passed.
Its funny, I was born in March of 2002. But yet I still watch the documentaries and personal footage of the attacks like I was a physical witness to those attacks.
I go through these story times every year or so it seems.
I’ll never forget what I seen on that tv that day.
i could listen to you for days boogie
I love when Boogie posts more then one video in a day ! I always watch right before bed from my iPhone.
I was 7 days old when 9/11 happened. R.I.P. The 2,996 people who died that day...
I was only 6 years old when 9/11 occurred. I knew what was going on but I didn't understand it. This is a very touching story
you are an inspiration.
Good words friend. I didnt make sense of the whole thing until 3 years ago. Appreciate your feelings on this touchy subject.
Life was never the same for us in the U.S. after that. SMH
+Red88Rex I think that and Columbine were two very defining moments for our generation. And all the bullshit that followed.
im english and i remember what i was doing that day.. was a sad day and shocking even for us brits..R.I.P all the innocent people of 9/11 and the wars it caused afterwards..
It's folks like you that make the internet such a fun place.
How you get any of this from what i said is incredible...
You're right about looking at both sides, you're probably the first whom I've heard say that.
But I believe they deserve SOME props because they AT the very LEAST care about these kind of things. I prefer having these people over the people that care more about their iphones and what's on the radio.
I never thaught about how many attacks there really was. Thnx boogie
i was only 6 when this happens, but i still want to cry when watch the specials of 9/11
You seem like such a good guy mate, what you said genuinely saddened me, but made me realise that you are such a strong, honest person. Will always love your videos and I know respect you a lot as a person.
Thank god my dad was sick that day...
"If you're willing to give up liberty for security, you deserve neither, and you will get neither." - Ben Franklin
I came home from school and it was on the news, that's as far as my experience with 9/11 goes.
I love the sad stories, it re assures me that I'm not the only one having a shitty time on this planet
Thank you, no one takes it seriously at high school because we don't physically remember but still
My family and I just wanted you to know you are an inspiration to us.
Hey now i don't feel so strange i was horrifically fascinated by these terror attacks, just for the simple fact of who had the capacity to cause this much damage in such a small window of three hours give or take
I agree with Boogie about USA before and after 9/11 are very different. I miss certain things about pre 9/11 America.
My dad worked on the 40th floor of the 1st tower... I thank God that he had the day off. If he had to work that day, I dont know if he would be with us today.
Sad stories are often the most meaningful.
You're an inspiration to me, i wish i could be as selfless as you! I love your videos, they really have made me a better person, thankyou :)
you don't believe in God yet you say all sorts of wonderful things. you are a great person Boogie and i think that God has given you a great gift to touch peoples hearts.
Boogie, you warm my heart... and my brain, don't worry about these videos being sad - they're both touching and inspirational.
Also after seeing a single page of comments on this video, I fully understand if you never see this due to having already given up reading this endless stream of bullshit.
Its been 12 years, people need to get over it. Way worse things are happening around us!
Not saying it's bad in this context, but I noticed the very skillful vague rhetorics there that don't make any statement that could be clearly opposed/criticized.
Let me add my own game:
The evidence for what happened on 9/11 is now as clear as the evidence for anthropogenic global warming.
boogie looks so different throughout the years u see videos a few years apart n he looks so different
