For anyone struggling, here is what I did! (My milk cake came out perfectly doing this) 1 - Put 200 ml of milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt (a quarter teaspoon works too) in a saucepan. 2 - Stir milk until sugar and salt are dissolved. 3 - Add 2 tablespoons of starch (IF YOU USE CORN STARCH ONLY DO 1 1/2 ) and stir until mostly dissolved. This part may be trial and error, you may need to add more or less depending on how your mixture turns out. 5 - For extra flavor, add a half teaspoon of extract. I used vanilla, but you can use any kind. BE CAREFUL though! A little too much extract can ruin a recipe. 6 - Now, turn on the heat. I recommend a medium temperature so it thickens faster. If it starts bubbling or steaming, turn down your heat. 7 - Keep stirring until it thickens up to a pudding texture. 8 - Once thickened up, pour your mixture into a small-medium mug that is either sprayed with cooking spray or has melted butter in it, this will allow it to pop out easier later. Before refrigerating, lightly tap your mug on the floor to make sure there is no air bubbles in it. 9 - Put your mixture in the fridge for 3 hours. 10 - After 3 hours, touch your pudding to make sure it feels good. If it is still very mushy you should leave it longer. If it feels ready, hold it upside-down over a plate or your hand and hit the bottom. The cake should fall easily if you buttered/sprayed the mug well enough. I really hope this helps everyone!!
