- Bamberg / Germany is a town in Bavaria. The old town of Bamberg is interesting for tourists as buildings from the 11th to 19th century are well preserved. The Regnitz and Main rivers meet in Bamberg with several hills around.
We start our walking tour with a view over the city up at the Bamberg Cathedral. We proceed downhill to the old town. We walk all the way down and around the city towards the train station.

Thank you, Brigitte! Actually the walk was shorter than anticipated. Thanks to the response I see that starting with a nice view gets more views. I had an overheating camera up at the rose garden so I took a break and recorded this 2nd video instead of just one long one. Underrated City
Great walking tour in the beautiful city of Bamberg. 👍
This tour of the main sights on the outside takes about 10-15 minutes of walking when you actually live and work in Bamberg like me :-) Visiting the sights inside requires much more time. There are many more beautiful places to see but as a tourist you will not get to know them.

@@poptravelorg I did see that video. I went back in 2018. So much has changed since I was stationed there in 1976-1978. The military police housing is there as is the building housing the howitzer unit and military police station. 😊
